I know you've said it before not to put Chebe powder on your scalp and that it's for length retention, not growth. For some reason it resonated with me this time and will remember that. You were so patient with that tangled knot. Thank you Mya for this video.
Good morning Jennifer. Lol, I try to say it at least once in each video. Have to be patient. I know it is not for everyone but you know I find doing my hair very therapeutic.
Good afternoon. I saw video clips that people mix the Chebe powder in a form of spray with essential oils. Is it advisable to do it that way and is it also effective like the original method ?
It's been 2 years since i started following you on RUclips, and i must say you have inspired me so much that i started my own chebe journey 4 months ago, I mostly use the grease and the oil. And let me say that i've seen my hair totally transformed since then. Keep up with the good work.
Good morning Kit-Kat! Thank you! I am so glad that you have found something that is working for you! I am loving my journey and I hope you are loving yours as well!
I've been using chebe for about 3 months now. My method is similar to yours and I've also noticed a serious reduction in sheded hair. There's so little hair that comes out now I can count each strand of hair.
Starting my journey on Oct 1. Working on making the products I'll be using and the gameplan this week. Length check at the beginning and then end of December. You're inspiring
Your hair is gorgeous as usual. I have a feeling that the braided side will retain more moisture. I normally keep my natural hair in twists for convenience and I’m thinking about switching over to braids when my hair gets longer so that I can braid it in bigger sections like yours. Tfs!
You have inspired me to get back on the wheel with my hair care regimen. I applied my first chebe application on Thursday. And immediately I could see my hair transforming back to the glory it once was. Today, Monday morning, I did my first wash…and wow 😱😱😱. I’ve never seen so little hair shedded…I don’t typically shed a lot so that’s saying something. My hair is bar-strap length I usually shed about marble or golf ball size. Today, I probably only shed about 5-10 strings of hair. Like what…I can’t even make a ball with it 😱. Thank you sooooooo much for sharing your journey!!! Thank you so much for sharing your journey.
Good morning and of course! I am so glad my videos and journey have inspired you! When I first starting using chebe the very first thing I noticed was the reduction of shedding as well.
I definitely think the braided side will retain more moisture. I am on a mini braid journey and am using shea butter and castor oil to moisturise/hydrate. My hair feels totally different and shorter pieces are starting to grow out.
Started using chebe butter 2 months ago and absolutely loved it, was previously using castor oil. Im now noticing bald spots on my scalp and breakge at my roots so I've made the hard decision to stop chebe to avoid any scalp irritation. I used it on my strands and would experience a little itching, just choosing to be more cautious for now. Thinking about using it in my treatments since I can wash it off. Still undecided
Dearest Maya I absolutely ❤ all of your videos as a natural myself- I am incredibly inspired, and even more appreciative for all of your transparency; and knowledgeable content that you are sharing. I just by chance found you and immediately subscribed after the first video. Admittedly, I have binge-watched all of your content and somehow feel renewed and full of hope. Thank you!
@KlassicallyKept Thank you- really. You've helped awaken a passion in me, that I was beginning to doubt ever meaningfully existed. Truly appreciate you!💪
Hello. How is it not getting on your scalp? because your putting it very close also when you wrap your hair up it has to touch your parts right? Please help me with this because that's the problem I'm having. Thank You
She’s not applying or rubbing the Chebe ON her SCALP. As she applies the Chebe, it’s inevitable that some may touch the ROOTS of the hair, but it’s not applied ON the SCALP. That’s what she means by saying do not “apply” the Chebe mixture to the SCALP. The ROOT of the hair is different to the SCALP. The SCALP is the skin, the ROOT is the base of the hair. Hope that helps❤
Good morning! When I say do not apply chebe to your scalp I mean do not treat it as we do like grease and/or oil and part our hair and apply directly to the scalp. In other words it should not be sitting on your scalp. When I first started applying chebe I start waaaaaaaay down on my hair shaft so there was no possibility that it would even touch my scalp. After I did the application a few times and got comfortable I inched closer and closer to my scalp. When I pin my hair up I have not had any issues.

Please send me the link of how to mix the Chebe powder the way you do it.

I have experienced the same, it was the first things I noticed
@@KlassicallyKept Do you like the chebe powder better than the chebe grease? If so, why do you prefer it?

I am sorry that you have been having issues with chebe.
I hope you are able to recover.

I really appreciate your discipline. Consistency is key.
Consistency is definitely key.
I am loving the journey.
Your elasticity is mesmerizing to me.
Good ole shrinkage lol !
SSKs are a nuisance frfr.
Looking forward to seeing which style retains moisture longest as well.

Single Strand knots, the bain of all naturals existence lol.
Hi Mya, How much Chebe did you put in your mixture, as its not in the receipe posted in the description box

Since you no longer using tool to detangle, do you wash your hair in twist?
I do not.
I wash my hair in 5 sections in the back and 2 in the front.
I take out it twist and wash.
Im confused. You might have said it in the video and I missed it but did you leave this in your hair?
Yes, I left the chebe mixture in my hair
@@KlassicallyKept thank you for responding!

Good morning! The nape area ! Lol yes.
Why do you twist one side and braid the other?
Maybe to show us the difference when they'll be out. We can like one or the other or both. 🥰
Do you wash the Chebe out
I wash the chebe out on wash day.
I wash my hair every 2 weeks.
@@KlassicallyKept thank you for responding ❤️
Why do you twist one side and braid the other?
To see which side retains more moisture.
