all I want to know is can i pull off some good power slides without harming the board or wheel biting anything and can you change the wheels easily? do I have to changout bearings often? I'm buying this so i don't have to walk up back a hill but i love sliding downhill

the 20 mpg gets up to 17 mpg and the 22 is probably around 19 mpg...unless your weights is under 150 pounds.
Awesome idea! ..how long does the battery last on one charge? ..how much miles before recharging?
And it would be awesome if manually pushing yourself would crank a generator that also recharges your battery on the go!
Battery lasts 6 miles on one charge. You can fully recharge your board in just 1.5 hours.

It's actually preferred to ride them in a bike lane.
The dual+ is an amazing device, well worth the price. Mind blowing, totally intuitive after a week of riding it and right off the bat you'll appreciate how much having serious braking capability buys you.
What's the distance you can go on one on a full battery charge?
It gets 6-7 miles on mode 2, but once you feel comfortable on it, you'll want to be in mode 4 all the time, and full throttle for much of that. Doing that we are talking 4.5 mile range.
The website says that the single (the low end model) can go up 15% incline, but that is with a 185 pound person. I am very small and weigh less than half of that weight, so do you think that I could make it up a 20-30% incline? Anyone can help

I rode this today at The Outdoor retailers show. in SLC. They let me take it outside. All I can say is that I cant remember having a biiger S#&% Eating grin on my face as I carved uphill at 15 MPH.. It goes up to 22 MPH on flat ground, or you can just Kick, push, coast.... Awesome Product. I must have one.

+Sexy stoner No I think it is too low profile for dirt and grass Also I do go thru some sandy areas since I live near the beach, But it gets dirty fast and I think if Constant dirt were to get into the motors it might damage them.

They should put solar panel on it, to at least the battery will be charging while the sun is up.
Would not work, the batteries would take days to charge with a solar panel that small. furthermore, you would be standing on it blocking the sun

it is expansive yes, but for example, try finding a lightweigh high-power drill, for a low price. not even talking about a lasting battery and software... but i really want one!

I'm sorry but did he say $999.00 - $1400.00.. ah I think these are neat but I would rather just get a Sector 9 long board for under $150 and save the rest of the money as well as some exercise to boot.
you can buy a used car for 1200, but th boosted boars is still great, my company is making the future of personal lightweight vihicles

Anyone getting these, get a Yuneec E-Go if you wanted the single motor Boosted board instead.
E-Go - 12-14mph, 18Miles per charge, motor is more enclosed, so mudd and such wont be as harmful at all if you do go over a tiny puddle and it throws it up from the wheels.\
Also, $550-$600 on eBay.. SO, yeah..
I have an extra one still sealed for sale for $540+shipping (Ordered two, but recently got extra cash, so getting rid of my extra on giving up $1400 for a Metroboard stealth with the 40 mile battery.)

The boosted board is made out of high quality stuff and lives up to specs.

+MIKE “SHEM” .W Does go 18miles, not at full speed constantly obviously. The boosted board only goes a couple miles at full speed.
They're not cheap, I've put my board through hell and back, ran it in rain, puddles, and more. Battery still holds a full charge, no slow downs, if you turn the modes to sport & rabbit, you can go faster than you could kick. you'd only go faster by kicking if you went down hill and gained momentum, like a long board is used for alot.

hey patrick, I have been skateboarding for 15 years .. and you are going wrong if you are trying to compare electric skateboards with standard skateboard/longboards. This is another discipline. I was sceptical about them, I built my DIY board, got an evolve for my girlfriend.. and just having fun. This is either a way of transportation and also you have a feeling of snowboarding the streets. This is really a different feeling than original skateboarding... you should give it a try.
As someone who relies entirely on a board for transportation, all I can say to you is this: if YOU think this takes away from the freedom of skateboarding, then just don't get one. Also, what's more limiting? being so tired you can't push around any more? Or having a motor on your board?
Those of us that accept any board with wheels on it as a skateboard, can enjoy knowing that there is something out there that is pushing tech in another direction. I live right next to the Hollywood Hills, and something like this would be KILLER for skating around this area. After pushing and climbing up hills all day, I rarely have the energy left to just enjoy skating anymore.
