Have done a little reading since looking at the cylinder head- very likely with all the mods, this is going to be an 800 big bore running in the range of 180HP. Next time we'll find out for sure! I’m actually really excited to watch this build. Question tho. Is there a conversion kit from the diamond drive to a belt or chain drive and if so is that something you would do on this build?
Still have an 06 M7 in the fleet...have kept it for a reason. Makes a great newbie sled because it's got the go without getting them into too much trouble
All m8 motors are 4 plugs from my understandings even the first year of those m8s so I'm pretty sure that is infact a m7 motor. I love u bought this sled bro. I was the one telling you too buy one of these a few years back. I rode my m7 for almost 5 seasons and 4k+ miles.
Also, for these old sleds, you don’t need a clutch puller just tip the machine on its side pour about 1 ounce of water into the primary and then put the main bolt back in with some sealant tape on the threads
Yes planter drive eliminates chain case. Witch every manufacturer has tried. Brass fingers hold tiny gears. I run 2010 HCR cat with boundocker turbo. Use fat cat skid 4 stroke air shock. Clutch in gages 5000. Just hold brake when starting out. Enjoy turbo all day long!!
Remember for the boondocker, hit fuel, then just run map1 and 0-3000ft low on my 07 m1000 low range was -4 to -2 mid is zero, high was +2 to +4 and don’t need to run any other maps unless your running a special tune for strictly mountain, nitrous or turbo

Absolutely love my old M7 these things are beasts

If you look up the head and exhaust, more likely that this is going to be an 800 big bore 👌
@@syxxes sick!!! 🤙🤙 Hope it is bro! Be super rad!
Also the rubber spark plug holder will deteriorate on those old M 10s. Remove all spare plugs because the fall out and end up in your primary clutch!
Your videos are so so good.
Thanks for the new video
Thanks! Glad you enjoy!!
Very cool. I just bought a 2011 M8 with a diamond drive. Kinda scared to tear it apart.

I’ve seen people use bread too, just pack it in there tight and put the bolt back in
Yeah but I should just have the puller. Make it easy 👌
If I remember right torque line heads are by rk tek
You got that right. I was doin a little reading while editing the video
Rk tek head,Kelsey…..very popular in that era.he also had an 800 BB for the 700
Yeah I did some reading. Just have to find out if its gonna be the 700 or the 800 head.

Do you think the 2008 m1000 is a good sled? I’m looking at buying one
haha do the old switcheroo on the mono rail skid
Any help? on 2009 m8 slipping pretty bad in reverse
800 Exciter mod sled build?
I think it’s an RK TEK HEAD
You'd be right!
What do you need from the exciter/phazer?
All of it. Lol
@@syxxesi have some miscellaneous parts laying around. I will see what i have left.
The 4oz of oil that thing holds is not enough in my opinion
I agree, 100%.
Might be 900 big bore
Do not use reverse. Piles up!
It's a rktech head
