Great comparo! Thanks. However, as an owner of a 2019 Kia Niro EV in my opinion, having the charging port in the middle of the front grill is very useful. I appreciate your concerns about icing, but for most of the world that's simply not an issue and it's much more practical in our experience charging both at home and on the road to have the charge port in the middle of the front.
It really depends on the person, because I also prefer it in the rear since I reverse into all parking spots both at home and away... and thank you, I am glad you like my video 😎
Yes the front is the best, easiest, can’t stand that most people are terrible at reversing and take forever even with a rear camera. Love my E Niro front charge port.
Anyone else get distracted by the runaway hubcap at 16:30? :D I just got a 2022 Niro EV and so far I am loving it. This is my first KIA. I was hesitant at first about buying a KIA because all I could think about were the "buy one get one for a penny" Kia commercials of years past. Now I can say I am already thinking about the EV6 being my next upgrade in a few years. Great videos André! I really appreciate all of your thoughts and input on the Niro EV, those videos have been very helpful for me so far.
I included the hubcap specifically to see if anyone would notice, and because it was a serious distraction while I was talking and recording, with other cars slowing down, and I was pretty proud of taking it in stride and being able to keep the take 😎. Kia has come a very long way since the early days of crappy cars. Kia has won multiple awards for quality, fit and finish, and both my previous Niro EV and my new EV6 are the best cars I have ever owned, hands down. I am glad my videos could help steer you to the Niro EV, it is a fantastic car, and if you eventually upgrade to the EV6 you won't regret it. There are some little things, and I will be making a video, so stay tuned. Thanks for sticking with my channel and watching 😎
As far as charge port, I find it fine in the front as a person with a garage. It makes it easier to charge and disconnect since my plug is in front and I drive straight in. I also prefer that it isn’t motorized as it’s one less thing to have to worry about failing.
Each person has their own preference and that is what is nice about having options, but since I park backwards everywhere, both at home and away, having the charge port in front is not convenient, on top of the issue of the ice and snow in the winter, so for my needs it is better 😎
Wife and I both purchased the new EV6 Wind RWD on Feb 14th and love them. I have the red like yours, and she has the Glacier. Car rides so much better than the 2020 Niro EV that I traded in. Also, I might note that I contacted TuxMats and they said they are waiting for a prototype to arrive so that they can test fit. Said it should be a couple of months, but they added me to their waiting list. Love their mats, and thank you for suggesting them for my Niro EV! You have a great channel and am looking forward to more videos of your EV6!
I was lucky enough to get my hands on the EV6's sister (Ioniq 5) about 6 months ago. i Have a few minor gripes, but overall still loving it. You and your channel were a big reason I took the jump from ICE to EV and I hope you love your new EV6!
Congratulations on you Ioniq 5, it is a beautiful car, and many of my future videos should apply directly to your car since the menus and features are pretty much the same. I am glad I could help you make the switch, and thanks for taking the time to watch my videos, I appreciate it.
Hello again. I also had the same 2019 eNiro and recently received delivery of an EV6 in BC. Same model but in Yacht Blue. Have had it for two weeks. Amazing vehicle with tons of major features above and beyond the top eNiro including AWD / 320 hp, powered passenger seat and lift gate, more interior room, sound foam in tires, adjustable heads up display, 255 tires, separate passenger climate controls. The in dash and HUD displays of the blind spot status are amazing. Not too concerned about the frunk (it is bigger in the RWD model) and put the charge cable and vehicle-to-load wand there. No issue so far with the absence of a wiper. I have travelled in rain and although the area below the spoiler gets dirty as usual, the rear window remained as clear as any regular sedan. Only negative is the single line map and lack of background options (only back or white that also affects the driver display). The double line map in the eNiro was much better. A software update for the map would be nice. Also the radio presets are harder to use than the eNiro. Looking forward to your videos on the EV6
I ordered a GT-Line Pack 1 from Orleans Kia on December 13th 2021. I heard some pack 1s are starting to arrive in the BC harbours. Can’t wait until I finally get it.
Hi André - it was greating meeting you and getting to drive your EV6 at the St-Hyacinthe EV car-show this last weekend.. As a Tesla 3SR+ 2020 owner - I was impressed with the quality of the car and how it performed : now if they can only mass-produce : it would be awesome ! Looking forward to the next time ...
It was a pleasure meeting you as well and I am glad you enjoyed driving my car. I also hope Kia and Hyundai get the machine moving to produce many more Ioniq 5 and EV6, and more specifically to deliver them to the province of Québec because there is so much demand that some dealers are telling people the delivery delay is 3 to 4 years for the EV6! Ridiculous.
Congrats on the new car. Please keep us updated on your experience with the lack of a rear wiper. I think that was a real design miss for the EV6 and Ioniq 5 in the Canadian market.
Thank you very much. I am not very concerned about the rear window on the EV6 due to the more sloped design and the lower spoiler edge that prevents the wind swirl from getting higher up. The Ioniq 5 has a more verticle rear window and no protection from the wind swirling, which is why it gets so dirty. So far, after 2 weeks of driving in the rain, my rear window is no worse than sedans with short trunks that I have owned. I will be commenting on this in a future video.
Glad to see that you upgraded! I saw the EV6 in October 2021 when I went to check the Niro EV at KIA dealer and I really loved it, but finally I stayed with the value option that is the Niro EV. Greetings from Spain 🇪🇸
Great video Andre. The EV6 has been around in France for a few months now, a wonderful looking car that my dealer in Niort says is selling well. It’s a bit big and expensive for us retired folks though, we will be plodding on with our 2019 e-Niro for the foreseeable future. 😊. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos as you spend more time with the car. FYI, just posted my 3 year report on the e-Niro on my channel ‘Kia e-Niro Diaries Encore’. Bon Chance!
Thank you very much. I agree, the EV6 is much bigger, fortunately our roads in Canada are big enough that it isn't a problem for me 😎. I was arriving at my 3 year anniversary with my Niro EV and loved it; it would have been 3 years on May 6th. I just watched you video, nice!
I had a Niro HEV for 3 years, then a Niro Phev since Nov 2020, this is a proof of a sort of reluctancy to go full electric. But since we use mainly our Niro Phev on EV mode most of the time we are decided now to pass the Rubicon in one year or two and I will follow with great attention your video about your EV6. Congratulations and thanks again for my rear wiper camera brush from Sweden and front hood arms (vérins) from AliExpress that I installed on my present Niro following your advices !
@@jean-mariecalvat9402 je suis heureux que mes vidéos puissent vous aider avec votre Niro, et merci, j'apprécie que vous prenez le temps de les écouter. Il y aura plusieurs vidéos sur ma EV6, donc à suivre 😎
I find my Kia Niro EV 2019 noisy with road/wind noise on freeway... but now watching many RUclips reviewers saying that it is somewhat quiet in Hyundai Ioniq 5 and this Kia EV6 is encouraging....
Hello André, bought a Snow White Pearl EV6 RWD today to replace my 2019 E-Niro with 60.000 km on the dash … your videos pointed out that I needed the switch 😀 the Niro has been the best car ever for the last 3 years but the EV6 is the perfect upgrade, i have to wait 12 months here in Denmark to see my “new baby” 💤💤💤 but worth the wait I think, thanks for all your videoes, Keep’em coming 👍
I am glad that I could help you choose. The EV6 is an amazing upgrade and worth waiting for. Congratulations on your purchase and thank you for watching.
A great review of the EV6. I was completely taken by the styling of the Kia. I hope to get a EV6 in a few months in the GT Line AWD trim. I think I plan to make four improvements. 1. Replace the lead acid battery with a smaller lithium battery. 2. Take out the stock frunk and measure out a bigger one I can do in fiberglass. 3. Add a wireless android auto adaptor 4. Stealth brand hitch and wiring harness.
Thank you very much! I actually have a wireless Android Auto adapter and will be making a video about it. The stealth hitch is also an accessory that I would like to get. I hope you get your EV6 soon.
Yes, it would be, much like adding the battery preconditioning option, but it seems Kia and Hyundai are not interested in spending time on these things.
7:25 - It's probably due to a difference in arm length, but I find it relatively easy to fold down the rear seats from the back of the Niro EV. With that said, the EV6's lever is definitely easier to pull (I tried it in a demo car at a dealership). Anyway, congrats on your purchase! I was considering buying the EV6 but the US dealerships are charging $10,000 over MSRP for the car.
The trunk of the EV6 is much deeper than the Niro EV, so having the levers on the top of the seats would be inconvenient as they would be very far as compared to the Niro EV. As for US dealers... I am glad we have laws here in Québec that prevent that kind of abuse.
Congrats André on your new vehicle! I guess you were happy with the brand because you repeat, being so many competitors in the EV6 segment. Having myself a 2019 eNiro I'll try to stick around on your new videos though I'll miss your good advices and teachings on the eNiro.
Thank you very much. I really do like the Kia brand for the quality of the fit and finish of the cars, as well as the value for the money. Don't worry, there will be more Niro EV videos, just not as many 😎
also Great work Andre, you looked so happy that you learnt something new on how to use the boot of the car! and GRATS on 1 million views, keeping it straight to the point and honest as well as the outtakes (Y)
Thank you very much. I thought I had figured everything out pretty quickly in the EV6 and was pretty happy to learn that there was something new 😎. I am going to make a "Hidden Features" video like I had done with my Niro EV.
Thank you for this nice Clip about the EV6. I like this Car very much and will buy one as well. Looking forward to see more Clips like this from you. The outtakes were great.
Welcome to the EV6 Andre.I have GT Line S RWD.Couldn’t bring myself to spend the extra £3000.Guess there are now a few more of us in the EV6 RUclips space.
Thank you very much. The only EV6 available in Canada were the first 200 units and they were only for the AWD GT-Line Pack 2, so I did not have a choice, but I would not change a thing. We are very fortunate in the province of Québec where we get 13,000$ in federal and provincial rebates for EVs that meet the requirements and the EV6 just sqeaked in. Otherwise I would not have made sense financially. There is plenty of room the in EV6 RUclips space for all of us, and I like the color of your car 😉
@@EV-olution Yes that’s a fantastic colour 😂😎.I love the car to bits also having come from the e-Niro.All the slight niggles are gradually being sorted.Main one being remote defrost/climate control has now been fixed after an update (220027) that was trialled in Scandinavia.(and an HVAC inverter update as well for mine)
I have the cabin preheat issue. It only blows cold air when the scheduled climate control comes on, or if I use Kia Connect to start the heating. I looked for an update in the update software, but there is no update available in Canada yet.
@@EV-olution It’s a dealer only update. It’s on Kia’s global system for recalls (220027) not to be confused with Head Unit & maps(similar numbers).Trying to remember all of the recall updates i’ve had.I had one for traction control (if you drove at high speed wheels would judder,Logic update to fix Zombie mode,I’m waiting parts for Ultrasonic alarm replacement (it would trigger randomly),wiring loom that interferes with Amplifier,HVAC inverter replacement(and 220027 which is will fix remote climate).Quite a few videos on my channel talking about all these recalls and issues.
Hi, I was happy to see that you changed to an EV 6. Following your “evolution” has been really fun as I got my E-Niro around the same time as I discovered your channel. I got my EV6 RWD plus in January. Northern Sweden is nice and snowy this time of year but the driving experience has been good. Better than my E-Niro. Quieter and at least as stable. The front trunk is a good 50 liters at least. One thing I noticed driving on snowy roads seemed better with regeneration set at LV2. I wonder if this is just subjective or if others have similar experiences. I haven’t understood what the “snow” mode is doing. Thanks for a good show.
I am glad to hear you like your RWD version, we don't have any in Canada yet, only the AWD, and I look forward to testing it to feel the difference. It is also nice that the RWD frunk is bigger, which makes it more useful. Regarding snow mode and driving in snow, I was lucky enough that the snow is pretty much gone so I don't have any experience with that yet, so I have to wait until next winter to make videos about it.
The e-Niro 4+, if I recall correctly, is pretty much the same as the Niro EV SX Touring top trim that I had, and it is an excellent car. It offers more head room than the EV6 and has a lower monthly payment 😎, so excellent choice for the next couple of years.
Glad I could help and congratulations on your EV6! You may be interested in my last video about hidden EV6 features: ruclips.net/video/LD5HnEej-gw/видео.html
No, not silly, auto hold is one of the most underrated great features!! I bought my X3 because of it... this EV6 is a real contender for me in the future!
indeed, once you have auto hold, you keep looking for it, the only annoyance it is a bit "clunky" when you put it into reverse, but it is damn handy for moving through town!
Always enjoy your presentation. Also look forward to the included outtakes, where you turn into the Muppet Chef. Don’t take that badly, I’m a Muppet fan.
Thank you very much. The lack of a rear wiper is not an issue because of the steep angle of the glass and the lower spoiler that prevents the turbulance from getting crud onto the glass.
Love the car, André, especially the colour. How are you finding the lack of rear wiper though? I could see when you were driving that rain was building up on the rear screen. No chance of a camwipe either I guess? Congrats too on 1 million views - your style is much more relaxed than you were back then, and the videos much better as a result. :)
As for the Camwipe, unfortunately not possible on this car and I am going to miss it. And thank you very much. Lots of practice and not stressing about trying to make things perfect seem to help 😎. Thanks again, I am glad I am getting better at this.
I loved my Niro EV and still think it is an excellent EV; one of the best with regards to what you get for the money in terms of range, comfort, equipment, etc. If you are in the Montréal area and want ot see the EV6, just message me on Facebook and it will be my pleasure to show my car to you.
@@EV-olution Thanks Andre, that's very generous of you. We live in BC and I don't anticipate being out your way this year, but if that changes I will let you know!
André, I’m guessing your wife really likes her Kia Soul EV because she did not want to keep the Niro EV as a replacement for her Soul EV. Thanks for the video and looking forward to more. ✅
There are two reasons she did not take the Niro EV: 1) She is very analog and the Niro EV has too much tech to her liking. She loves her 2019 Soul EV since it is more like an older gas car with regards to tech. 2) I sold my Niro EV for a price that cleared the balance of both the Soul EV and Niro EV loans, making room for the much heaftier EV6 loan.
@@EV-olution André, I figured something like that. My wife had a 2015 Soul EV with the much smaller battery that was a on a lease. She enjoyed driving it very much. She now has larger and very appointed Kia Vehicle. I would imagine the Niro EV was an easy sell with the market the way it is now. Enjoy your EV6. Looking forward to more of your reviews about it. ⚡️
Yes, I sold it for a good amount and at asking price. It was nice because it allowed me to clear the balance of both car loans making the EV6 payment easier to digest 😎
Your videos are well done and informative. And great to have a Canadian viewpoint! Because I now drive a Tesla Model Y with its rough and noisy ride, I would love to see you do a video that rates the ride comfort and quietness of the EV6, Ioniq5, Nissan Ariya, Mercedes EQB and BMW i4 (and iX ??) compared to the Model Y. Rob from Toronto
Thank you very much. During winter I tend to keep things more inside 😎. I will be making more comparison videos, but I have reviewed the Model Y and it is noisy compared to the EV6. I intend to put them side by side.
I have found that it is the little things too: 1) The absence of any "black cladding" around the wheels and lower body line etc means the end of the arduous task of trying to keep these areas looking black and not dull/faded grey. Great improvement on the EV 6 over the Niro. (I went through a lot of "Back to Black and elbow grease to try to keep them looking good). Check out the amount of black cladding all over the 2023 Subaru Soltera - yikes!). 2) The flush handles mean no more nail scratch marks in the handle recesses 3) The rear hatch opening under the hatch means no more nail scratch marks on the opening sill as my eNiro wound up having
Those are good points, thanks for sharing. One tip for black cladding, that I was supposed ot make a video about this year, was the fact that you can treat the black trim with vegetable oil and the trim will be beautiful for months. I did this 2 years in a row and only needed to wipe the plastic down 2 times per year; and when I mean wipe down, I mean simply dragging the oiled scott towel across the plastic, no rubbing needed.
Nice video,i made the same mistake with the charge port press point😂 also if you swipe left from the first touch screen you can get into settings screen from there without having to faff with the HVAC/Media switch.
Thank you. Regarding the swipe, I wanted to keep things as simple as possible, and easy to explain, and the Setup button was the way to ensure that the viewer can't make a mistake 😉
Thanks for the video. We ordered the exact same EV6 as yours (color and a GT Line 2) and can hardly wait till it arrives early next year. 2 questions. What is the tire size on yours and do you think there will be any upgrades for the 2023’s(rear wiper etc)? Thanks
Great choice of color, I love it, especially since it is my first red car ever. The tires on the GT Line Pack 2 are 255/45/20. As for the lack of a wiper, this is a non-issue that people are a bit obsessed with. Since the rear glass is on a steep angle and there is a lower spoiler at the brake light edge, the wind turbulance does not let dirt accumulate on the rear window. It is no worse that sedans that I have owned. Let me know if you have any more questions and thanks for watching and following my channel 😎
I drive a 2022 E Niro since Nov and really like it but have considered upgrading to the EV6 but the wait time is about a year or more. Be interested in your further testing such as charge time, range, etc to see if its really worth it. Thanks for the review.
The wait time for the EV6 is out of hand here in Canada; Kia Canada actually stopped taking orders as of 18h00 yesterday and deliveries for orders just placed are not about 24 months out. I will be making lots of EV6 content, but I can assure you that, for me, the upgrade is well worth it, but be aware, the EV6 is very big compared to the e-Niro, so manuverability in smaller European streets may be more difficult.
@@EV-olution When you say it's much larger, is that the overall size alone or, are you referring to the interior? I'm looking to replace a Toyota Highlander Hybrid which we absolutely love and have put 130,000 miles on it in the last 13 years and not giving up the interior space for occasional cargo hauling is one of my criterion.
@@tharais what I was referring to are the exterior dimensions, but the interior space is also up from the Niro EV, except for headroom. See dimensions below. Great content! It is nice to see a review based on your experience from driving another EV and comparing this EV6 with your Niro! Thank you for sharing! ⚡🔌🚘
Continue these videos with many explanations all of them relevant and interesting.
You've got excellent timing! I'd been set on a Niro EV but then I saw the EV6 and really like the design of the dashboard, as well as being able to get 120VAC (in the US anyway?) from the traction battery. Was a bit worried about not having rear windshield wiper but so far, it sounds as that it's not needed. I'm a little worried that the rear window appears to be fairly small (short) which might limit visibility. I've got a 2005 Prius that is still working like a champ but I'm keeping a close eye on EVs.
Bought a 2022 Niro EV. Buy the Niro unless you want to wait a year or two for all the bugs to be fixed. Then again you drive a 17 year old Prius. You don't seem like the type in a hurry for the latest and greatest. You are going to be happy with any new car you buy.
Congrats on the 1 million views and hope you grow to love the EV6 as much as you did the E-Niro. Are there many things left to add to the EV6 to improve it?
Hello Andre. Nice looking vehicle. I was looking at the EV6 and Ioniq 5. In my city there is only Mach-e and Ioniq 5 available for sale since the other dealers aren't EV sales approved. I like to have local service. The EV6 and Ioniq 5 both have some things that are better than the other. As a kid of the 80's the pixel design on the Ioniq 5 speaks to me.
Good morning. I have not had any degradation of the headlights, or headlight enclosures, so I have not made any videos about it. Do you have a link to an example video, or post with images that someone has put online? I am curious. You are very welcome, and thank you 😎
I'm thrilled you have an EV6 now because I planned to pick one up once I return my Niro next year when the lease expires. I can live vicariously though you for at least another year. One small thing I dislike about my Niro is the loud and wimpy-sounding motors on the power folding mirrors and the rear wiper. Has that been improved?
I agree that the Niro EV folding mirrors and rear wiper motor sounded like they were old and tired, even when they were new. The EV6 mirrors sound solid and there is no rear wiper (not an issue in case you ask, video to come).
Hi Andre, great review I have had my E Niro for 1 year now, and I attended the launch of the EV6 at my local dealer. I will wait until later this year when the new E Niro (to be called the Niro EV) before choosing - I do like the higher seating position of the Niro though?
The lower seating position of the EV6 was a bit of a surprise to me, but thankfully it is not as low as the Tesla Model 3; that was a deal breaker issue for me. In the EV6 I raised the seat (I am only 5'8") so it is close enough to the Niro EV seating position I had that I am very happy. I also look forward to seeing and reviewing the new Niro EV.
Great video Andre. It’s nice to see a review of the EV6 from someone locally living with the same road conditions and climate that we’re subjected to. I have the LR AWD pack 2 in the same red coming later this year (hopefully). I’d be curious about your thoughts on a couple of issues that I’ve heard about from other sites. Headlight brightness or lack of.. Sound quality of the stereo Charging time in the winter at charging stations. Apparently the lack of preconditioning renders it a loooong process Pre Heating the cabin while the car is plugged in. Problem with Ioniq5 and Ev6? Dead 12v battery Looking forward to your other videos on the EV6. Merci!
Thank you, and thanks for watching. I will be addressing the points you have mentioned, but here is a quick reply... - The headlights are fine. Could they cover a larger area? Yes. When I tried them at night the first time, did I notice an issue, or lack of performance that stood out? No. - Meridian system: To keep this simple, if you use the default Meridian intelligent sound, or whatever it's called, the sound quality is good, but restrained. I set everything manually and find the sound of much higher quality than the Niro EV Harmon Kardon system. The base is much tighter and the sound is much more realistic. The Niro EV was more punch in the chest base, but more sloppy. Different styles of sound, but one is not necessarily better than the other. I really like the Meridian. - Charging time: You have to put things into context. The EV6 and Ioniq can charge at a very high speed. In the winter, without the ability to heat up the battery first, it may charge at around 50kW to start and ramps up as it heats up. 50kW is slow as compared to the optimal number, but still OK and the same speed as a Chevy Bolt. Is 50kW slow, yes, but the Niro EV and other previous generation Kia/Hyundai vehicles also start at lower speeds, then max out at 77kW whereas the EV6 can hit above 150kW. I have not had my car in the winter, I got it on March 17th, so I have no real cold weather experience yet and I have not done any DCFC yet. Tests to come. - Preheat the cabin: This is a known "issue", but only relates to when you try to heat the car up via the app, or with the scheduled climate settings. I have experienced this, but when I started the car and set the heater to 23C, it blew hot air very quickly. There is a software update (2 actually) and my appointement is set for May 12th. - I have had no issues with my 12V battery and I have an OBD2 adapter in my car 24/7. I have only had my car for a bit over 1 month, so this is all preliminary, but I have seen the orange status light on my dash lith a few times, meaning my car is maintaining the 12V battery. I am not worried about this for now and I have my 12V booster pack in the frunk 😉
Really enjoyed watching ur videos. Would u be doing one on the EV6GT? If so...would like to know why the seats aren't electric. Anyway, thx u for doing this. PS...so funny ur bloopers.
The EV6 GT is on my list of cars to try, but it is not in Canada yet. The seats in the GT are not electric to save weight. The car is more about performance that gadgets. And thanks, I am glad I can make you laugh 😎
Hi André, congrats on your beautiful EV! Have great fun with it! I am from Gremany and we have ordered a Long Range RWD GT-Line with heat pump, sliding roof and 19" tyres last week. I have subscribed your channel because to watch your impressions about the EV6 as a daily driver. Looking forward to see what you will find out about the EV6 because I have to wait until the end of 2022 or might be beginning of 2023 to get mine :( Best regards, Peter
Love your new car. Looks great! Like the fact that it’s moonroof opens vs the Ionic roof doesn’t open. Just wish the ev6 in Canada and the States received the rear amber tail lights like the rest of the world. The chrome trim below your red tail, turn and brake light combo is were the amber lights would of been. I would really wish Canada would make it law to have amber turn signals facing to the rear. They are so much safer.
Thank you and I agree. I was very disappointed when I found out we don't get the progressive amber rear turn signals. It should be law, like in Europe.
Excellent review, mine might appear at the dealer in a few weeks. I'm waiting for the winter tire and wheels video purchase for this fall. ❄️. 19" tires and more sidewall?
Fingers crossed that you get your quickly! I will be making a video about the winter tires some time this fall and it will probably be for 18" wheels and tires. I spoke to Fast Wheels and they confirmed that 18" fit.
Mmm. Hyundai Ioniq Fries... err... Great video! And I am hoping you DO get your hand on an Ioniq Frive... er... Five, cause I'd love to see what you have to say about it.
😂 I should be able to get my hands on an Ioniq 5 even though Hyundai Canada is not responding to my e-mails (I am not the only RUclipsr with this issue in Canada). An local owner has offered his for me to make a video about... and thank you.
Hyundai is really thinking about things in their designs maybe more than other companies. I have a Hyundai Santa cruz with a trunk in the bed. It is bigger than the frunk in the EV6 but still small. I find it to be a perfect place to carry tools as I still do carpentry sometimes. That frunk might hold a lot of tools in a flat arrangment too. Just not any power tools. There is one master fix for many of your complaints however......move to a warmer climate lol. Looks a bit difficult up there sometimes eh ? Thanks for good videos.
I agree, Hyundai and Kia really are on things when it comes to details. The frunk in the EV6 could store some hand tools, but not much. Regarding the weather, yep, it gets cold 😎, here is a video I made in the winter: ruclips.net/video/fepat58rgIQ/видео.html
A couple of things to note. Your model is the UK GT Line S version which comes with the 20inch wheels. These mean the car is less efficient than the GT Line which has the narrower 19inch wheels. I have the RWD GT Line S and the frunk in that is much larger as it does not have accommodate the front motor
Yes, you are correct. The AWD with 20" wheels is only rated for 441km of range, but the frunk in Canada only comes in the small size that I have in my car, even in the RWD version, due to safety laws. Since there is no bonnet release from inside the frunk it has to be too small for a child to fit in it.
Great video! I love how you talk about the tiny details other reviews skip such as passenger space. Im from Montreal and recently put myself in the waitlist for the same trim as you. Though waitlist can take up to 2 years. Do you think this car would still be worth it if i somehow get it next year? And what are your thoughts on financing this vehicle? It would be my first time financing a high trim, and id like to keep it.
Thank you very much. They say wait list for the EV6 is 2 years, but several people have received them faster than that. It is well worth the wait as the EV6 is an amazing car with excellent technology. Financing is a tough question because the interest rates are currently high. I got mine in March 2022 when the purchase interest rate was 2.99%. If you can afford it and you like the car, then buying it is worth it, in my opinion. I bought mine, not leased.
Hey Andre, congrats on the EV6. On a bit of a side note, where did you order your type s jump starter? I'm in western Canada and I can't seem to find it for sale anywhere outside the US.
Thanks Matt. You have a good eye to know that it is a Type S! Costco Canada had them available a couple of years ago, that is where I bought mine. It was only 79$, has USB ports to charge devices, has a built-in flashlight, is smart so you can't mess things up by reversing polarity, and has a screen to display SoC and other messages. I have used it about 15 times and only charged it once since owning it; nice thing about jumping an EV, very low power draw 😎
@@EV-olution Haha, it's only because I recognized the logo on the case. I've seen a few videos from RUclipsrs with ev channels using them so I figured they must be good. I have the Kona electric and don't want to get stuck with a dead 12v. Can't seem to find them anywhere now (including Costco) so I guess I'll have to get another brand. Any suggestions of other decent brands or ones to stay away from? Thanks Andre.
@@mattpiper5928 if you are in Québec then I would suggest the chain of stores called Batteries Expert. They sell batteries of all kinds as well as related accessories and they have some good quality products, although not the lowest prices. Other than them I don't know what to suggest because I bought mine from Costco not knowing if it was any good, but knowing that I could have returned it if it had been garbage.
The lack of rear wiper is a non-issue in the EV6, unlike the Ioniq 5, because the EV6 rear hatch has a steep angle as well as a lower spolier that runs along the brake light. This means that very little turbulance hits the rear glass, leaving it clean. The back of my car is pretty dirty, but the glass is clean, very much like on a sedan.
Hello André Thank you for this vidéo, you have sold your three years old Kia e-niro, have you measured battery degradation ? And if yes what was it and with which tool have you measured it ? Thank you in avance for your answer.
Thank you for watching, I appreciate it. Also to note, you can ask me questions in French if you like; I see you use the accent aigu, donc ne vous genez pas pour communiquer en français car je suis du Québec 😎. I sold my Niro three weeks before getting my EV6. The battery was still at 100% state of health after 58,000km of driving and almost 3 years. You can see your battery state of health by using an OBD2 Bluetooth adapter and an app, like Torque Pro (paid) or Car Scanner (free), or you can use the very nice EVOBD2 adapter made by a local Québec resident. I made videos about both methods in 2020, here are the links: Kia Niro EV Secret Tech Information - ruclips.net/video/hgfbtGzTk1Y/видео.html NO SKILLS REQUIRED! Hello André, Thank you for your answer, I wrote my questions in English to allow everybody to understand Q&A. My e-niro has only 22000kms and almost 2 years. I have baught the obd2 bluetooth adapter and my battery is still at 100% but I don't know if it is the reality since on the litterature on battery it is said that on the begining of it's life the battery lose quite rapidly 5% and then decreasing more slowly. But obviously it dépends on multiple factors (age, number of kilomètres, charge type etc...). I have read that the real battery capacity is greater than 64kw (around 67kwl) it is maybe why it remains at 100% wait and see...
@@jackxuor8601 you are correct, the actual battery capacity is about 67kWh (a bit more) and the degradation happens in the top buffer zone of the battery, which is good because you get to have all 64kWh available for a long time. As for how much it degrades, that depends on many factors, but I can say that it is probably less than 5% in most cases, especially if you keep your regular maximum charging limit at 80 or 90%. I had mine set to 90% and only used 100% if I was going on a long trip. I did have several fast charging sessions, but only on long trips once or twice per year, so this all contributes to keeping the battery healthy. SInce it worked for my Niro EV I am doing the same thing with my EV6.
Interestingly, I test drove one and ended up upgrading my 19 niro base to a 22 niro premium. Didn’t find it as much of an improvement as a compromise and didn’t find it worth the extra 15k. I think day to day, the niro being taller, having buttons and a curved screen behind the steering wheel made me just stick with a niro.
The Niro EV is an amazing car and does offer more head room. The value for the price is excellent and will continue to be an excellent offering from Kia. I wanted the extra range, AWD, and more power, as well as the faster charging speeds for the long trips that I take... and it helps with my RUclips channel growth 😉, but you can't go wrong with the top spec Niro EV. I loved mine.
I also went for the Niro EV as my first full electric vehicle, even after test driving the EV6 at the dealership. For some reason the EV6 seemed a lot more expensive for a "similarly featured" package. Comparing the 46k for the Niro EV to the 51k for the EV6 Wind RWD and the 54k for the EV6 Wind AWD. Also, I was worried that going with a RWD in the Northern states would not be a good idea.
@@helstromh I’d like to agree with most of your thoughts but the very top spec EV6 only comes with two motors. And I agree the front wheel drive Niro is just dandy in the snow, ice and rain here in post Portlandia. And I miss the goodies that the EV6 dang well better have that are basically MIA from any Niro EV.
Just subscribed and liked! Thank you for the informative video. Just put a down payment on the 2023 EV 6 package 2. I travel 135kms Daily and the cost of gas in Ontario is just too much! I am wondering if you could go over in detail the autonomous driving and steering assist. Also the steering wheel functionality and how it works? I was also wondering if you could go over LEVEL 2 charging. I am very "green" no pun intended to this game, and I am going to have to get an install done. I have a 100 AMP panel and know I will need a larger one. Also possibly a real time winter perspective / KM range? Its lovely and I am looking forward to mine! Thank you again for your informative video!
Thank you for subscribing, I really appreciate it. You are going to love your EV6 and the range is going to be perfect for your needs. Congratulations on your purchase, you will love it and it is worth being patient for. Thanks for watching my video. I have 2 others about the EV6 that may interest you.
I work for a Kia dealership in the US as a service writer and my backshop technicians do not like these things. Happy to give more info on what we're seeing (both good and bad) if anyone is curious.
@@juliajames711 Absolutely. With the EV6 so far what we are seeing as far as issues are the following. - Automatic door handles make creaking noises when folding in/out - The onboard electric heater pump controlling the A/C and heat has failed - Some body/trim pieces may come from the factory unsecured - Most parts for repairs are not even available yet as the vehicle is brand new. Expect a 2-3 month wait if you have an issue and a part needs to be replaced. The good is that there's plenty of EV range although not as much as some other competitors like Tesla. The car is easy to charge and it drives pretty smooth. No general electrical issues so far which is a surprise. We haven't seen many come in for service yet but the overall vibe is that customers seem to like them and we're getting good feedback so far.
There is a secret spot under the rear floor for your rear cover if you have to remove it for certain items there is little tricks to get it in there certain side panels to remove for it to fit
Hello Andre... I've placed a reservation with Brantford a couple days ago for Pack 2, i am really considering Pack 1 now - do you have any piece of advice for me? I don't really care about the sunroof or the meridian system (which i hear is not the best). HUD could be a nice to have but not a deal breaker, i know it boils down to the interior seats and the V2L capability - what are your thoughts? Thanks for this video btw, this is super informative and played a role in my decision
Hi. Just an FYI, the Meridian system is excellent once you manually adjust the audio settings instead of using the default Meridian IQ or whatever it is called. Here are the differences - Pack 1 vs Pack 2: - 19" Wheels instead of 20" - Manual door handles, not automatic - No sunroof - 6 speaker sound system instead of Meridian 14 speaker with sub - Missing active sound design - Synthetic leather seats - No HUD - No V2L adapter - No heated rear seats - No cooled front seats - No cargo cover It is difficult for me to offer advice on Pack choice because it is a personal choice. I prefer the fully loaded vehicle for a few reasons, but mainly I want all possible options because I like them and because resale is better when you have a fully loaded version, but that may be totally unimportant to you or others. Therefore I would suggest going down the list of differences and asking yourself if you really want the option or not. I am happy that my videos could help you make your choice.
@@EV-olution This is great insight, i'm glad i stuck with Pack2. It does appeal to me overall more than the 1, was concerned about the headroom but im not tall!, so that's ok. The ventilated seats and the rear heated seats is a big yes for me. thanks for your feedback.
@@MarcGibeault je l'ai vendu à 39,000$ mais le concessionnaire Kia l'a vendu pour environ 43,000$, incluant l'ensemble des accessoires que j'avais inclus (valeur d'environ 3000$)
Ev6 is such a good looking car. I also own a kia niro ev. The trunk seems small considering the size of the car. Although it has more space on paper in terms of litres it seems you can squeeze in more stuff in the niro (if you pack up to roof level). Or am I wrong? Thanks
The trunk of the EV6 is much bigger, but the slope of the hatch does make you lose on height near the rear. I will be making a video about this when I put the Niro EV beside the EV6, but with the seats down the EV6 has a huge trunk space. I will have to do some testing, but I think @Bjørn Nyland has done the banana box test.
@@EV-olution looking forward to that :) thanks. Something I wonder is if niro will get the sw update about preheating for fast chargers as the rumor says ev6 will get.
Unfortunately I have not seen a setting to turn off the beep starting sound, only the regular start up sound can be disabled. I would have to test, but I think when you activate the start up sound the beeping stops. I need to test that.
How are you finding the multipurpose touch thing for radio vs climate? I feel like that would annoy me and as you said about taking your eyes off the road for the drive mode on the Niro, I feel like I would be doing it way more to find the rights controls for the radio and/or climate. The Ioniq5 to me has a better set up for this.
It takes a bit of getting used to, and I would have preferred to be able to feel where the buttons are, but once you get used to it, it is OK. Also to note, since the radio controls are all on the steering wheel, you can leave the touch section on the climate control section, which is what I do 95% of the time.
I agree 100%. That is why I am very happy that we have laws in Québec that prevent price gouging like in the US. Greedy dealerships are slowing the adoption of EVs and that is bad for everyone.
Hi Andre we also have a 2019 Kia Niro SX Touring and have an EV6 GT option 2 on order. We use a Thule roof box for skis on the Niro mounted on optional Kia accessory roof bars, are there accessory roof bars available to fit on the EV6 with sunroof so one can mount a Thule box? Also is there a pass through in the rear seat arm rest that one could use for longer items like skis and still accommodate two back seat passengers? Will the EV6 accommodate 17” wheels so one can mount 235/65R17 winter tires/rims to add 1.5” to side wall height and lessen the chance of winter wheel curb rash and improve on pothole handling?
Good morning Bob. There are roof rack accessories for the EV6 with sunroof, but they "grab" onto the roof sides and I will not be going for that option since I don't want to risk damaging the paint and finish; I will get a trailer hitch and a small trailer. There is no pass-through in the arm rest, I was a bit disappointed by that. The EV6 will not accept 17" wheels due to the brakes; this is information from Fast Wheels Canada, but 18" do fit. I hope this helps.
I have noticed that in UK and European reviews those EV6’s come with ski pass throughs, I wonder if in the future (2023 which I have on order) Kia will add this feature to the Canadian EV6? I also hear that the EV6 does not include 3 garage door opener buttons in the rear view mirror like my 2019 SX touring Niro EV, is that correct? I use all 3 of those buttons in my Niro!
I only received it on March 17th and it has not really been that cold so I don't have any winter numbers for the EV6 yet. The Soul EV is my wife's and it is a 2019; in the summer she gets about 200km of range and in the winter she gets about 150km of range. Our average loss, her Soul EV and my previous car the Niro EV, is a 25% range loss in the winter so I expect the EV6 to be similar.
@@EV-olution Thanks i have seen videos from out of spec motoring where they complain about car not making battery ready for fast charging. This cars will never be tesla but hoping can afford one of the alternatives one day.
@@pragneshprajapati273 the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 do not have battery preconditioning yet, but the Genesis GV60 does have it and it is only a software modification and we think the Ioniq 5 and EV6 will get an update to add the feature. As for not being a Tesla, I prefer the Kia EV6 to the Tesla Model 3 and Y, and I have driven several or each.
@@pragneshprajapati273 not a problem, just send her to the article that I shared on my EV-olution Facebook page, that shows that owning an EV costs less over time even though you spend more to buy it than a gas equivalent.
EV6 has been delivered in Norway since late August 21 and have had it's first serious winter test. Just some comments on the different equipment Don't blame KIA for a useless frunk on AWD, that's importers choice, not KIA, here you only get frunk on the RWD Winter test report on EV6 with studless tyres. The RWD is extremely good on winter conditions, so save your money on a long range RWD EV6 I cancelled my order on EV6 when it was delivered because of the seats, found the seats in e niro better. Again, importers choice.
The spec from Kia indicates 16cm, or 6.3 inches of ground clearance. It is not SUV height, but not sport car either, kind of a middle ground clearance height.
@@EV-olution thanks for the quick reply. I’m actually looking for the seat height from the ground as opposed to ground clearance. Seeing if I would sit higher than in my forte 5. I assume I would sit lower than in my niro.
@@haroldbernard3505 ah, got it. I can't say exactly because the seat height can be adjusted from low to high, but it also depends on your torso legnth. Some people put the seat low to have proper headroom, and other set it higher. With that being said, I am about 5'8" tall and with the seat placed as I like it, I can say that it is a seating position that it a bit lower than in my Niro EV, but still comfortable and not as low as in a Model 3.
@@EV-olution thanks, that definitely puts it higher than my forte 5. Just don’t want to crouch that low anymore to get in my car. I get my ev6 some time in 2023 sight unseen. Haven’t seen a single one here in Vancouver
Since you’ve owned a Niro and now have an EV6, can you tell me how the EV6 compares in reference to rear trunk space. Do you find you can haul as much “stuff” as you did with the Niro? I have an EV6 on order yet I am still a little concerned with trunk space. Thanks.
The EV6 has a much deeper, and wider trunk, but the rear hatch being more sloped takes away from height at the rear, but I still managed to put a full sized mountain bike in my EV6. I would say it is similar space, but shaped differently. With the seats up the EV6 wins, but with the seats down the Niro EV has a slight edge.
I was behind you in traffic crossing the Champlain bridge earlier today. The EV6 looks nice
😎👍 Small world! I was going to see my mother 😎
It's good to have you back!
Thank you 😎
As far as charge port, I find it fine in the front as a person with a garage.
@@EV-olution yeah I guess that makes the side a good middle ground
Wife and I both purchased the new EV6 Wind RWD on Feb 14th and love them. I have the red like yours, and she has the Glacier. Car rides so much better than the 2020 Niro EV that I traded in. Also, I might note that I contacted TuxMats and they said they are waiting for a prototype to arrive so that they can test fit. Said it should be a couple of months, but they added me to their waiting list. Love their mats, and thank you for suggesting them for my Niro EV! You have a great channel and am looking forward to more videos of your EV6!
Thank you, and I am glad I could help. Congratulations on your dual EV6 purchases!
Thanks for sharing your experience. I appreciate it.
Awesome man, so happy for you. And the amount of bloopers growing at the end is a nice bonus.

Thank you, it is an amazing car, but I still loved my Niro EV.
Surely adding the option to have the startup sound on or off would be a simple addition for the E-Niro in a software update...
Having myself a 2019 eNiro I'll try to stick around on your new videos though I'll miss your good advices and teachings on the eNiro.

also Great work Andre, you looked so happy that you learnt something new on how to use the boot of the car! and GRATS on 1 million views, keeping it straight to the point and honest as well as the outtakes (Y)
Thank you very much. I thought I had figured everything out pretty quickly in the EV6 and was pretty happy to learn that there was something new 😎. I am going to make a "Hidden Features" video like I had done with my Niro EV.
I would love to see you do a video about the EV01+ wheels for this car and range difference between the stock wheels like you did with your Niro!

@@evodessey thanks, I will have a look and contact my dealer.
Love the car, love the colour, will probably buy one in a year or two, but as my Kia Nero 4+ is just a year old I’ll will to wait to change it.
The e-Niro 4+, if I recall correctly, is pretty much the same as the Niro EV SX Touring top trim that I had, and it is an excellent car. It offers more head room than the EV6 and has a lower monthly payment 😎, so excellent choice for the next couple of years.
Good info ...Thank you! I have a Kia EV6 on order nd it it is expected to be at the dealership next week.
Glad I could help and congratulations on your EV6! You may be interested in my last video about hidden EV6 features: ruclips.net/video/LD5HnEej-gw/видео.html
Man I love you're style 😂
Awesome as always and never leave those bloopers out 👌
Thanks, I really apprecite it, and I am glad I can make you laugh 😎
No, not silly, auto hold is one of the most underrated great features!! I bought my X3 because of it... this EV6 is a real contender for me in the future!
indeed, once you have auto hold, you keep looking for it, the only annoyance it is a bit "clunky" when you put it into reverse, but it is damn handy for moving through town!
Always enjoy your presentation. Also look forward to the included outtakes, where you turn into the Muppet Chef. Don’t take that badly, I’m a Muppet fan.
LoL that is not an insult, it is hilarious. I had not made the connection... And thank you.
congrats..its a beautiful car.. i ordered one myself and trading in my niro ev. how is it with no rear wiper?
Thank you very much. The lack of a rear wiper is not an issue because of the steep angle of the glass and the lower spoiler that prevents the turbulance from getting crud onto the glass.
Excellent, André, et j’ai beaucoup apprécié notre balade a bord de ta voiture hier au Salon EV à Québec.😄
Merci beaucoup, et ça m'a fait plaisir 😎
Love the car, André, especially the colour. How are you finding the lack of rear wiper though? I could see when you were driving that rain was building up on the rear screen. No chance of a camwipe either I guess?
Congrats too on 1 million views - your style is much more relaxed than you were back then, and the videos much better as a result. :)
As for the Camwipe, unfortunately not possible on this car and I am going to miss it.
And thank you very much. Lots of practice and not stressing about trying to make things perfect seem to help 😎. Thanks again, I am glad I am getting better at this.
Great video, thanks Andre. We're still enjoying our 2020 Niro but I love the look of the EV6. Haven't seen one in person yet.
There are two reasons she did not take the Niro EV:
1) She is very analog and the Niro EV has too much tech to her liking.
I have found that it is the little things too:
1) The absence of any "black cladding" around the wheels and lower body line etc means the end of the arduous task of trying to keep these areas looking black and not dull/faded grey. Great improvement on the EV 6 over the Niro. (I went through a lot of "Back to Black and elbow grease to try to keep them looking good). Check out the amount of black cladding all over the 2023 Subaru Soltera - yikes!).
2) The flush handles mean no more nail scratch marks in the handle recesses
3) The rear hatch opening under the hatch means no more nail scratch marks on the opening sill as my eNiro wound up having
Now i want a ev6 instead of my e-niro. Nice review, great work!
Thanks
@@EV-olution
When you say it's much larger, is that the overall size alone or, are you referring to the interior?

Continue these videos with many explanations all of them relevant and interesting.
Merci Denis, j'apprécie, et félicitations pour votre achat.
The rear visibility is great and not having a rear wiper is not an issue. It is not like the Ioniq 5 rear window and stays clean on the EV6.
Thank you very much. There are a few little things, but those will be for a future video 😎
I agree, the retro futuristic design of the Ioniq 5 is excellent.
Great report, looking forward to more. ;-) (from the bloopers: I prefer Kerosene powered Hood Struts myself...lol)
😂😂😂
Congrats on the new car :)
Thank you very much.
Hi Andrè can you remind me, did you report on headlight degradation, around the headlight rims.? If so which video...Thanks for the good stuff.
Hi Andre, great review
I have had my E Niro for 1 year now, and I attended the launch of the EV6 at my local dealer.
I also look forward to seeing and reviewing the new Niro EV.
the frunk on the RWD ev6 is larger, its smaller on the AWD as they needed room for the front motors
Correct and if I am not mistaken the RWD frunk has a 50L capacity.
not here in Canada, the rwd gets the same frunk as the awd. Safety concern, a small child can fit in that frunk and it can't be opened from the inside
@@patricelarochelle7295 exactly. Thank you.
Sound quality of the stereo
Charging time in the winter at charging stations. Apparently the lack of preconditioning renders it a loooong process
Pre Heating the cabin while the car is plugged in. Problem with Ioniq5 and Ev6?
Dead 12v battery
Looking forward to your other videos on the EV6.
Looking forward to see what you will find out about the EV6 because I have to wait until the end of 2022 or might be beginning of 2023 to get mine :(
Best regards, Peter
Thank you for following me and congratulations on your EV6 order. It is worth waiting for.
@@EV-olution ok good to know about 18".
Other than them I don't know what to suggest because I bought mine from Costco not knowing if it was any good, but knowing that I could have returned it if it had been garbage.
while watching your review i noticed there is no rear window wiper anymore? how is that done now?
I made videos about both methods in 2020, here are the links:

NO SKILLS REQUIRED! Kia Niro EV Secret Tech Info - ruclips.net/video/pVVEoe7HhRw/видео.html
As per your comment, looking forward to a segment on winter wheels and tires for the EV6. Hint: I am not a 'steelies' fan. Maybe a fall project.
It's already in the works 😉

Congratulations on your purchase, you will love it and it is worth being patient for. Thanks for watching my video. I have 2 others about the EV6 that may interest you.
Main advantage of Kia EV6 vs Niro EV is: 1. its bigger battery/more range and 2. its much faster charging speed.
Those are some, but I have to keep some things for other videos 😉
Curious about the Auto Hold. Can you set it with the memory settings? for example, on for driver 1, off for driver 2?
I don't think so, but I will test.
I heard the EV6 was able to tow, is this true, and if so how much weight is it able to
Great video, my wife really loved the bloopers 🤣
The Canadian EV6 is rated to tow 1043 Kg, or 2300 Lbs, and I am glad your wife had a good time laughing at me, my wife does it all of the time 😉
@EV-olution great that was the last thing I need to hear as I have a boat and was hoping it would be able to tow it 👍
I work for a Kia dealership in the US as a service writer and my backshop technicians do not like these things. Happy to give more info on what we're seeing (both good and bad) if anyone is curious.
If you could post a list on Facebook I can format and use the information in more places. You can find me as André Laurence on Facebook.
I’d be interested! I’m scheduled to pick one up in two weeks.
Im not on Facebook so if you can park here I’d appreciate it.

@@juliajames711 Absolutely. With the EV6 so far what we are seeing as far as issues are the following.
- Automatic door handles make creaking noises when folding in/out
- The onboard electric heater pump controlling the A/C and heat has failed
- Some body/trim pieces may come from the factory unsecured
- Most parts for repairs are not even available yet as the vehicle is brand new.
Don't give away all of the secrets, I am making a video about hidden features 😎. The Niro EV has the same feature.
Hello you do know you could turn the rear interior light on in the e niro by pushing on the lenses
I am pretty sure my 2019 did not have that. I will have to find another 2019 to test that on. Thanks.
Here are the differences -
Pack 1 vs Pack 2:
- 19" Wheels instead of 20"
- Manual door handles, not automatic
- No sunroof
- 6 speaker sound system instead of Meridian 14 speaker with sub
- Missing active sound design
- Synthetic leather seats
- No HUD
- No V2L adapter
- No heated rear seats
- No cooled front seats
- No cargo cover
It is difficult for me to offer advice on Pack choice because it is a personal choice.
@@nimbala8814 glad I could help.
@@EV-olution Excellent, merci beaucoup!
@@andrelindqvist6775 I would have loved that, but I don't think Kia will do it.
@@andrelindqvist6775 Bjorn has confirmed in a video that Kia will release update to do battery preconditioning.
I hope that is true, and I would think so since the Genesis GV60 has the preconditioning option.
can you turn the 5x bib bib totaly off when you start the car by using the settingt in cluster?
I want one but REFUSE to pay 11,000 usd over MSRP
@@EV-olution What size winter tires should one install on the 18” Fast wheels 235/60R18?
@@bobstevenson4396 I have not looked into it yet since the winter tire season is over here. I will start researching things late summer.
Unfortunately the Canadian version of the ev6 does not have the ski pass through nor the buttons on the mirror for the garage door.
Jalousie!
Il est possible de venir essayer la EV6 au Salon de la Voiture Életrique de Montréal le 22, 23 et 24 avril. J'y serai en bénévol des essais routiers.
New Niro ev is coming soon. Nice ev 6 too.
Yes, but from what I have heard it is only expected in 2023 or later in Canada.
@@EV-olution ya.
This man is agent Smith
I know what you are thinking Mr. Anderson 😎
How is the battery performance in winter since it came in winter. Also i see you have Soul EV how is the range of that.
@@EV-olution Thanks for the response next phase is to convince wife for the big splurge.
@@pragneshprajapati273 not a problem, just send her to the article that I shared on my EV-olution Facebook page, that shows that owning an EV costs less over time even though you spend more to buy it than a gas equivalent.
Anyone have a source for mud guards for the EV6? WIth those 255 tires they are needed.
Kia has listed some for the regular and GT-Line EV6. I will be getting some and making a video about it.
EV6 has been delivered in Norway since late August 21 and have had it's first serious winter test.
Just some comments on the different equipment
Don't blame KIA for a useless frunk on AWD, that's importers choice, not KIA, here you only get frunk on the RWD
Winter test report on EV6 with studless tyres.
The RWD is extremely good on winter conditions, so save your money on a long range RWD EV6
I cancelled my order on EV6 when it was delivered because of the seats, found the seats in e niro better.
Again, importers choice.
Hi,
Did you find the warning sounds in the Kia EV when backing up annoyingly loud?
I never found it loud in my Niro EV and I don't notice a difference in the EV6. It is fine to me.
What is the seat height from the ground? Trying to see how much higher it is than my forte 5. And how much lower than our niro
@@haroldbernard3505 you won't regret it 😎
Since you’ve owned a Niro and now have an EV6, can you tell me how the EV6 compares in reference to rear trunk space.
@@EV-olution so then, two golf bags, two pushcarts and a couple of suitcases and I’m good to go 😉
Thanks for your answer.👍
@@Juleslechat LoL, it all fits with the seats down :-)
You sold the Niro - how dare you. Also, it has a rear wiper!! The EV6 is a beauty though.
I really was sad to see it go and I will miss the Camwipe dearly.
