The 2022 Kia EV6 GT-Line Is A Sporty Electric Stinger-Like Crossover
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 1 окт 2024
- The #KiaEV6 is part of an ambitious electric vehicle strategy from Kia to introduce 11 new EV's to market by 2026. The #EV6GTLine is the sportiest variant of the #EV6 until the #EV6GT comes out at the end of this year. This all-electric CUV offers either rear or AWD, up to 320 HP, and 310 miles of range. The #GTLine will even sprint to 60 in 4.5 seconds, which is the exact same time as the #KiaStingerGT. It goes on sale next month at a starting price of $40,900 before the $7,500 federal tax credit.

I have been looking forward to this one for a while. I’m highly considering the GT-Line for my next lease
I love the styling. This car reminds me of the Hot Wheels cars I had as a child.
@Elom Saroy +++++++h+
I was wondering where I recognized it from, it really does look like a hot wheel 🙏🤣
It's beautiful! I thought the same thing.
Just needs some redline tires 🛞
It rapes tesla by how fast it charges 😂😂😂
This seems like an EV that I’d actually consider buying. IMO they killed it with the rear end design (in a good way). Front is a little meh.
Write me ☝️ ☝️ for more insights and mentorship..
How funny, I thought the front is a bit better than the back - that middle hump/line in the hatch breaks the flow for me
Strange, I think the front looks great with samurai headlights, the rear on the other hand looks a bit fruity with that sharp edge along the taillights
Kia and Hyundai are killing it man

Unfortunately most of their cars are not available at the dealership.
Man, This Brand - New Kia EV6 Is Definitely Amazing. Also I'm Totally Love The Design On This Vehicle. But Also Kia Is Not Playing Around With This Vehicle & Tesla Needs To Watch Out, Here's Comes Kia. But Great Review Sofyan.
Wow, buttons! A neat, normal car. No annoying updates that change your entire vehicle interface (tesla)
Kia is killing it. Banger after banger. I really like their EV platform.
KIA has been knocking it out of the park with their new line of cars, both ICE, Hybrid / Plug-in Hybrid and Full EV in both styling, design language, tech, performance, EV Range and Pricing
Man, the EV6 looks so good! Definitely feeling some FOMO having pulled the trigger on a different EV. Great to see more competition out there and I'm looking forward to catching a glimpse of them on the road.
Im waiting for the vinfast 7 and other ev’s that are bout to make their debut late this year. Exciting!
Fomo on a EV 😂 now that's a first
What did you spring for?
I recently went for a Model 3 cuz I do love Tesla’s and the ioniq just didn’t do it at all for me. Don’t know if I fully regret it since the Kia is significantly more money with less range and as someone that’s owned kias before Ik the depreciation on them is an issue, but man is it beautiful and it would’ve been the only EV I’d consider over the Tesla.

Kia will be the next Best Car Manufacturer.
Take a screen shot for future reference.
That red looks really nice.
I test drove the AWD yesterday and man it's quick off the line. Too bad the dealership markup is $10k over MSRP or I would have purchased on the spot. Kia should not allow this, especially on a brand new car on a brand new platform because I'm sure this will affect sales number, making the first model year look like it's not as popular as it could have been. A lot of people I've talked to on the dealership lot are saying they love it but they're not going to buy $10k over MSRP. Sad.
Sounds like Los Angeles, CA? 😔
@@KWPS San Diego, but yeah pretty much the same lol
Love how it looks more like a station wagon than an SUV

I think I found the sound of the car very amazing despite it being electric. It just sounds futuristic to be fair when your stepping on the accel.
Without the sound of a sports exhaust you will be bored of it in a day.
@@DEVILTAZ35 not when they are winning ;)
UNDER 4.5 SECONDS???? What the hell. I thought it was a bit of a exaggeration, like Teslas claim of 1.99 seconds for the Plaid Model S. Color me impressed.
holy what? 1.99!?!? thats too much power I would legit wreck the car.
People have managed just over 2 so it wasn't much of an exaggeration really. In any case all this power is worthless unless you want to run a house with it while it's charging overnight. Now that would be interesting tech.
@@DEVILTAZ35 True, but its a bold claim that doesn't hold up with a true 0-60 including rollout. I assumed something similar with the EV6.
I always have thoughts like this. Take EV6's interior and Ioniq 5's exterior and mix into a vehicle... That would be fantastic.
100%. Don’t care for the white plastic in the ioniq.
The only cars with a decent interior from Korea is Genesis . The rest are just cheap plastic crap for the most part.
Ioniq5 exterior is nasty
For the 360 view you can switch the color of the model car ; it’s in the settings.
I think it looks good! I'm basically at the point in my life where I don't care it's a Kia lol.
lol. Yeah me too. It's like Hyundai. When I was a kid, they made pretty crappy cars, now they have some pretty nice vehicles, and have gained a lot of respect.
The South Koreans have really stepped up their game in the last few years. I am very interested in what Kia, Hyundai, and Genesis have in the works right now.
Can't wait to see the gt, car seems pretty damn quick too! 4.4 is moving for a normal version. Wonder how it does in the quarter mile the Mach e does after 60 where as the Y doesn't.
its not a normal version though. Its gtline with dual motor and AWD. The RWD single motor is slower
@@zubastik2992 this is a non gt. It's a normal version 😂 most people in colder climates will buy the awd dual motor variant. Makes the awd Mach e look insanely slow @5.3 seconds or slower.
@@IReahpZz it's one above the base so technically no
@@zubastik2992 technically you’re being too technical lol
@@robertmcgee3616 is it bad?) Am I wrong thou?
Looks very cool. Extremely excited to see the GT at the end of the year!
Great job by KIA. Will get one as soon as the dealers get off their $10K markup jag. Hopefully supply chain insanity ends by Summer. Too bad the established makers don't adopt Tesla's online ordering (even if the markup is baked in). Nice review!
Sofyan blessing us with a great late night upload. Thanks and keep up the great work!

I look at the exterior of this, and think, "Wow. The Tesla needs a redesign." :)
Seeing this vehicle is what got me interested in EVs in the first place. I've done tons of research over everything available in the market and almost settled for a Model Y Performance. There are things I don't like about Tesla that could easily be improved if they cared enough. So, I'm back at this vehicle. I'm going to either get a fully loaded GT-Line or the GT. They just need to price the GT below MYP. We'll see.
Write me ☝️ ☝️ for more insights and mentorship..
So which car did you end up getting? I recently picked up a GT with an awesome deal. It was still more expensive than the MYP but to me it was worth it.
This EV6 has already won multiple COTY awards in Europe! It should do very well in the US as well. I certainly prefer this to the Ioniq 5, though that's really cool too.
Is Ioniq 5 the same size? Do you know
@@verynick Almost the same. They're platform mates.
Yet compared to the BMW the interior is a plastic joke. I am not even into EV's but it's clear BMW is streets ahead in design quality. The awards are obviously rigged to pick Korean crap over German to begin with.
@@DEVILTAZ35 lol. Believe whatever you like. But after all, Kia is not a luxury car brand as BMW claims to be. Probably shouldn't expect them to be the same.
Ionq 5 N is coming out, apparently.
I think the Kia EV6 has the best interior compared to the other EV interiors, because of the ergonomics. My gripe with most EV’s are that they ditch the volume and tuning knobs and they put the climate control system into the infotainment screen (such as the VW ID4 and Tesla products). I also like the size of the gauge cluster (compared to a lack of one in some Tesla products and the teeny tiny one in the VW ID4) and how there are still traditional switches for the doors and windows. There are also the heated/ventilated seats are outside of the infotainment screen, in-which I think it will make it easier for users to interact with the interior compared to the competitors.
wow! Nice and your presentation skills are fabulous. Thanks for your clear, crisp delivery.
As a Chevy salesman and Bolt EV driver, I'm really liking what KIA is doing.
Looking at the Chevy EV's coming down the line, I think Chevy will be fine, as long as the dealerships don't do what Kia dealerships are doing, $10-$15k over MSRP is a joke.
Would have been better if KIA gave it an actual name instead of just numbers and letters.
I have my eye on the GT version as this car looks great from all angles. The one thing that really stood out and bothers me is that in the US version the rear turn signals are on the top light bar, and all the other reviews from foreign countries have it on the lower part where the diamond patterned chrome trim is located. It looks way cooler to have the lights on the lower part and I am bummed about that change. Hope they would offer an aftermarket fix for this!
I just picked up the Kia Niro EV and it is pretty amazing. I leased so in 3 years hopefully things are back to normal and I can get a Telluride EV
Things are not going back to normal Dwight. Not sure if you read articles or watch news but everyone says we aren’t going back to pre-Covid life. And politicians don’t want us to. Money and power are at stake.
This car in red is beautiful and is something new. Personally, I would prefer the Ioniq 5 if I had the choice. I am looking forward to the smaller EVs from Kia and Hyundai.
Yes, Ioniq 5 is better than Kia ev6.
Only advantage of Kia ev6 is a little faster and interior is better looking than ioniq 5.
You don’t think the Ioniq 5 is ugly?
@@_gokz I've been driving the 2017 Ioniq car. and i didnt really like the the plastic-ky concept which is now brought on to ioniq 5. I like ioniq 5 to be more spacious and comfortable. And also yes, you are right, Kia had always design to be more sporty (ie : Stinger). But now i'm in dilema to choose Ioniq 5 or EV6 GT. ATM, my preference is the EV6 GT really has the power as in 740 Nm torque, also max speed 260 KM/H.
Kia & Hyundai certainly are masters of this craft they're doing in which they give you certain reasons to choose either vehicle even though they're the same platform.
Some pros I'm seeing to the Kia:
-Bolder styling, even if by just a little.
-red color option (fuck you Hyundai wtf was that shit).
-Smaller, more enthusiast friendly handling & ride height.
-Superior infotainment setup & peak sound system.
Cons:
-There's piano black plastic everywhere, which is disgusting. I don't remember seeing any of it in the Hyundai.
-Seemingly less high quality switchgear & HVAC materials to the Hyundai.
-Cargo capacity took a hit with the DBX style tailgate.
-No extended ottoman for max recline as you wait for a charge.

That is correct, it will not work unless you are standing right next to the car.
All I want is a real electric Stinger. Basically a Model S competitor without the self driving features that adds cost.
I wish these electric vehicles were more affordable. 50k is too damned expensive to be affordable by the vast majority of the (at least) American public in the current environment. Car residuals and the mark-ups are killing us consumers.

Sure, these EV's appear awesome at first glance, but as an Avid RC-car/flashlight/tech guy of 40 years, The BIG question here with all these EV cars is how much will the performance degrade over time, and what are the long terms costs? All batteries slowly degrade starting from day 1. And the more you discharge and charge them the worse the battery performance becomes. Just think of your cell phone as an example. It's definitely not like the first day you got it, is it. And It's not like a ICE where you just change spark plugs, filters and add some injector cleaner. There's no refreshing these batteries. You just eventually get to a point where they have to be replaced which = big $$. No wonder all the manufacturers are going this way, they see big profits in battery replacements down the road.
Mine was delivered on Monday (in the UK, 3 weeks before its ETA). I really like it so far.
Which trim did you get and how many miles are you averaging? Also, is charging it less expensive than gas?
I was gonna purchase the g70 a bit more than a year ago then i read about kia/hyundai releasing EVs and I waited. The Kia EV6 had me sold. I'll wait for the GT trim first before I make the dive. I'm glad you're highly praising it :P
Do we know anything about the AWD range when in eco mode? I've heard that the EV6 only uses the rear motor in this case. I know the AWD weighs more, but how does AWD w eco range compare to RWD w normal/eco range?
