Hey bro, I am looking for a ev6 gt line rear wheel drive . Just wondering how do you charge the car at home .did you buy the home charger the Kia recommend?how fast is charging at public charging station? If you have to choose between Tesla y rear wheel drive and ev6 gt line RWD , which one will u choose? Thanks
Ok, thanks for questions on charging. A standard household 3 pin socket will take forever (1.3kw - 40 hours), but a 350 kw public charger does 10-80% in 18 mins. A standard public charger at 50kw throws in 40-50% per hour. But everything is on curves. Charge is fast from low, charging is slow at over 80%. I’ve installed a home charger (Evie I think) but I have 3 phase so I get about 10% per hour. The trick is to plan ahead and just stick it on and leave it. Most of us have the car in the driveway most of the time.
18.8 kwh/ 100 km would cost $ 7.50 at 35 cents per kw charging at home. 😮 my diesel ⛽️ 12L/100 costs me 😢 about $21 so about a third of the running cost. But off peak rates might be 20-30 cents per kWh 😮 so it's appealing
I don’t like how Kia put the plastic on the back of the front seats… it looks nasty and cheap & it scratches & gets dirty. Also for an $80,000+ car there’s no rear air vents… not really worth the price tag in my opinion.
Excellent review as I can confirm all your points. Ours is the same as in your review: EV6 GT-Line AWD (just in red) 11-2023 designated as a MY24 model. I can confirm that the car is capable of 233KW charging as we tried it out on a 350KW Super Charger. We charged from 56% ~ 80%. Charge at outside temperature of around 29C started at 133KW and peaked at 233.46KW before slowing down again to around 150KW. Charge time took 9 minutes for 21KWh. We did get the V2L external adapter as part of the purchase (no extra charge) and the excellent V1 Mains charger that can be adjusted from 8A ~ 12A...all part of the package. We added the boot rubber mat and the foot mats. I can recommend both of these. Car is excellent in all the main points and ours is driven mainly in ECO and REGEN "3", as even ECO has got more then enough pickup when needed. So far we got 3K on the clock and it just had it's complementary service check.
5.5 secs 0-100 is pretty good. Kind of almost nipping at the heals of SS or xr6t but far more refined and better build quality. I still love my SSV even if it's not very green LOL

@@robbertdewal68 they’re just air vents with no controls.
@@breeana2879 True I would have thought a car worth over 80k would have at least 3 zone climate control, far cheaper cars have!
2 years wait?...tell them their dreaming.

Paul, please always do a horn test. A horn that sounds like a budgt tweet is not good.
NO! EV's are expensive in Australia because our various Federal and State Governments are actively punishing people who want to buy one. Import them into Australia as a Coal Mine and they would be almost free after the Govt subsidies.
I would buy this instead of the Tesla M3. Splendid car. Only negative from me is the boot space & the frunk.
Could be a great EV but I just can’t get past “wing mirrors”. Why you have to adopt ridiculous British terminology is beyond me. Motor vehicles do not have wings.
When are you going to do a Tesla review
where is the ideal charging location on cars? i have seen them in different locations? your chargers sometimes require nose to tail parking while others are conventional parallel.
Where are the front and rear fog lights?
In WA, drive away between $80k and $98k now... competing with some great cars at those prices.
You miss a lot of things, including emergency reverse braking, passenger departure warning, heads up display lane departure warnings etc
Sure drives better but for me i cant praise enough the looks of the ioniq 5. Best looks out there period. Still i will never pay anything close to 80k for any depreciating asset. Rather put it as part of a deposit for a house!
Think rear end is as ugly as a smashed pie
The GT AWD full spec in other countries costs 70,500 AUD. Why is it almost 130,000 AUD? Like almost double price? Why? I genuinely want to know.
Exchange rates, taxes and what the market will bear. When demand exceeds supply anything goes.
@@SirGregoryFamilyRUclips 70,500 was with the exchange rate. Demand of EV is declining. Must be tax.
20:42 You should bring the 2022 F1 cars here and see how they handle the bumps.
Much sportier EV than Hyundai and prettier too!
Tuned for Aust. roads… Aust Potholes tune???
U must hate Plano black 🤣🤣
Liked your review. You looked like you enjoyed driving the EV6. If you get a chance to try charging it, that would be great. Thank you.
How does the inside of the bit where you charge the car get so filthy? Is it not properly sealed and protected by the elements? Strange stuff...
Hi paul. Subscription from me is how i show you that i really enjoy your videos. Maintain the standard. Perfecto!
Love from Brunei 🇧🇳
Its really nice all round but where it lacks is the price vs the Tesla model 3, once kia can drop its price's on there EVs they could dominate the market
I do not think the design looks good.
