I forgot how much I truly admire Antonio Banderas! I saw the movie with he and Madonna in the Cinema so many years ago and I was mesmerized and had to purchase the CD...until I wore it out!

Evita was playing on cassette tape in our van when we were in a rollover car accident when I was in 8th grade. That was about 25 years ago, and I’m still such a fan!
I agree, Antonio Banderas' version of ''Circus'' is the best of all I could find on RUclips. He is real, not wooden. He tells the story in his song. And those dancers are fabulous, and that is the work of a gifted Choreographer. The most wonderful dance moves on such a small stage, strangely in perfect harmony with this amazing song that capitulates the entire story of Eva Durate and Evita Peron. Can we see the entire dance? I tried to count how many cameras were used, looks like a dozen at least. The film exists, and this fan, all the fans, want to see it. A 3 minute film to share with the world, please! And Colm Wilkinson is next in line, also a great expressive perfornace. I had never heard of him but obviously the audience at Albert Hall knows him!
I watched the movie without understanding the plot, and songs like High Flying Adored confused me as to whether I was supposed to hate Eva or not. But it’s so beautifully done that I’m not sure how much I mind.
The movie makes changes to make Evita more sympathetic. Evita in the original album and musical was more power hungry and the lyrics were much more critical, which added to the Che Guevara-like character in the original musical.
I adore Antonio Banderas from the very beginning - Desperado, Mambo kings, Take the lead ...etc. Hi's brilliant actor, singer and dancer. He can charm everybody as he's done with this unforgettable performance!
