The process that the gentleman describes, i had to endure 3 days of that.
And for me, the anesthesia shots did not numb my scalp completely because apparently i am what the doctor referred to as "bleeder".
I had 5 thousand implanted hairs and i felt pain on each. I've been hit by cars and this felt worse.

Your doctor could have easily dealt with this by using a different local anesthetic.

As a highly trained healthcare pro ie anesthesiologist, and yes, the local does burn ask my pregnant Moms when I'm doing epidurals. Onward, Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok,Thailand is a very recognized international hospital by the WHO (World Health Organization). Thailand care is top notch and lots of Americans have big surgical procedures there. Personally, I would recommend the executive/holistic physical there. Not meant to be a DOWN POST , about 25 years ago , a good friend of mine went to NYC to have a PARTIAL hair transplant, he wanted me to do the same , I refused...

I saw him a few months later , HE HAD LESS HAIR , it never grew back...

I too had 2 hair transplants with similar experiences.
1st one was 5300 hair follicles & the 2nd one a year later was about 2,500 hair follicles.
My cost in 2005 was $5 per hair in the USA. With an anesthesiologist for 10 hours and 4 nurses + 2 doctors .
The hair from your sides do not fallout or die as the hair on top of your head does.
The hair on top of your head has a natural disease that causes "Male Pattern Baldness"
So your transplant is your own hair , matching the color, shape, DNA and they are placed to match the rest of your hair patterns in groups of 1, 2 or 3.
FYI - Your donor side hair is without the disease and will live and grow till you die ❤
