Hey RG, that was by far your best interview ever! I am 53 and I realize how much Paul’s life mirrors my own. The interview was so great because it explains how many of us are making the decision to give the Philippines a try. I will be there for my first scouting trip in February. I’m already in countdown mode to 62. Just have to grind it out a few more years until the kids are on their way out. But thanks to you and Paul I see the light!😂
Just come as a tourist first. Check out many islands. It's still very much a third world country in many areas. You will have to temper the expectations a lot.
Fabulous interview paul old dog is not the regular guy next door paul is more than that a man of humble beginnings but I believe that’s what actually made him and equipped him with good old fashioned wisdom he’s a fantastic guy
Great interview! Paul is just one of those really decent human beings who deserves and found happiness. His channel content is great too. I hope he stays with the RUclips community for many more years to come.
Of the bloggers I know, Scott and Paul are probably my two favorites. Paul's life story is kinda like a modern day Job, but very inspiring. Scott, I love your humor and personality, and it's very nice to share your experiences and see different places in the Philippines. If I was ever blessed with the opportunity to come there, I would love to meet you both, and Mae of course. She's an amazing lady! God Bless You guys!
Bravo. This was such a pleasure to watch. Paul is just amazing. I hope I can meet him in person when I visit Duma. Scotty, thank you for this interview. It’s fantastic and you are so good at interviews.
As a subscriber to both of you guys, I was anticipating an interesting and fun interview, and I wasn't disappointed. Good stuff gents ! Wishing you both all the best, from Graham in Panagasinan, and thanks for sharing with us Paul.
Great interview. Given the numerous interviews of the Old Dog already out there, you were able to get new information especially on his early adult life.
RG, this is the first time I watched your channel and when I saw that you were interviewing Paul, I watched it to the end. Great interview and yes, you ought to be interviewed also. Watching from Chicago, a Filipina from Pampanga.
Paul is a natural story teller. He reminds me of my grandfather. That's one of the reason he was good in creative writing. It's also why his channel is so successful.
Love this guy Paul. Despite the marriages, children and careers our lives ran parallel. For me? i retired from Law Enforcement with 2 pensions in 2007. My journey started in the Dominican Republic from 2007-2011. After a failed rental car business in the Dom Rep, i did go to Thailand in 2008 with a side trip to Cebu. i finally met my Filipina wife in 2010 and married her in 2013. Yep, living a great life now, between Texas and Davao City. Congrats to Paul and many more years of happiness! ~Scott & Cherryl~
Kudos to Paul for his brutal honesty. It's not easy telling folks your Mother was an alcoholic. My Sisters and I had the same experience (our Mother ws an Alcoholic/addict) until we were old enough to extract ouselves from that Hell and move out on our own.
Great interview Scotty. I have watched most of Paul's videos and watched many others interview him and you managed to pull out some new information and keep it very interesting with your questions. The Old Dog seems like a really good guy and it is great to see that he is living his glory days.

Wow, The Myth, The Legend interview with Paul/Old Dog was very interesting. Paul and I share similar parallel tracks. Oddly enough, I never got married, came close several times but freedom & independence is a powerful thing. My Dad said to me when I was 6 or 7, "Never Get Married Until Your 65". At the time I thought it was strange but never forgot those words of wisdom. Fast Forward to today. Retired at 52 and decided on Thailand after several recon visits. Don't get me wrong, I still feel a Filipina is the Best Women Of This World, I just needed more modern living conditions, which I found in Pattaya.
