Def Leppard rocks !! The way they stood beside Rick when he had his accident shows how amazing they are as individuals. As a band, they can control the stage to this day. Love this song, it's a bit softer but it still brings it.

Rick Allen lost his arm before they started production of the Hysteria album. He fully expected the band to continue production of their songs without him; replacing him. But they promised him, they would wait for him to recover, wait for him to learn to drum only using one arm... and then went on to produce their most famous album EVER! The backing layers are cut with Elliott, too, but the depth is the real deal backline vocals, not just Elliott layered 10 times

One of the rare releases that doesn't have a bad song on the entire thing. I remember buying the new cassette when it came out , not having to FF to the next good track in the car was a first just crank it up and rock out without touching it.

To me this song always meant that when you finally connect with your special someone, not only do you feel that rush of "hysteria", you also can't help but feel a little in awe of how the stars magically aligned to bring you together.

Their name was tribute to Led Zeppelin, and when they first came out, I had this dumb-ass resentment of them for it. But I pulled my head out as. I realized not only what great musicians they are, but what great people they are. The whole Rick Allen thing, plus the fact that their A&R guys must have been telling them that that easily make Two albums from each of their records with all the hit-worthy tunes on each one. But they wouldn't cheapen the quality of their product. They stand by their fans like they stood by their drummer.

Best album of all time in my opinion. This album as it all, great ballads, great songs and the best beats as this band was at their peak back in the 80's 👌 👍 wish you guys RobSquad the best, and when you have a chance please 🙏 react to "Have you ever needed someone so bad" or "Where does love goes when it dies" from the best band in the world and neighborhood 😀 the one's and only DEF LEPPARD

THey friggin' RAWK. Their timing was perfect too. MTV had just gotten big and their videos played all the time.

This concert, Hysteria in the round, was my second favorite concert of all time. Only behind Queensryche Operation Mindcrime. This was Rick Allen’s comeback after his accident. The crowd went wild when he came out and got on the drums. It was also the last concert I saw with Steve Clark before he passed 😢. Love this whole album! 💕🎶🎸🎶💕

mind crime tour, & I definitely liked it better than the def lep show. even though my seat wasn't very good. The best live shows I ever went to were iron maiden, & DIO was really good live.

Jay & Amber, as ravenous Def Leppard Fans (like me), I have to inform you that the band is putting out another album on May 22, called "Diamond Star Halos". I've heard a couple of songs from it, and.... yeah, it's amazing. As for your next Def Leppard song, I had to review the eight titles you've already done so I don't recommend something you've reacted to. You can do "Foolin", "Animal", "Armageddon It", "Rocket", "Make Love Like a Man", "Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad", or "Stand Up (Kick Love Into Motion)". To answer your question - Def Leppard's big breakout album was in 1983, Pyromania. It was one year later that Rick Allen lost his arm. Their follow-up album, Hysteria (which this is the title track of) ,was released in 1987, by which time Rick had been able to perfect one-armed drumming.

The album was supposed to come out in 1986, but singer Joe Elliott came down with the mumps, of all things. (It's much worse for adults than children, as I understand.) Rick had reported back for duty at the end of 1985, which is pretty impressive.
The album was the last for guitarist Steve Clark, who drank himself to death during the production of the next album. (The band had given him six months off to get sober. It didn't work, sadly.)

One of the best lyrics ever “dream me off my feet” Can never listen to this song just once l, it has to be repeated at least twice back to back. To me the lyrics on the surface are about meeting a lover that you cannot resist because the fire is so hot. It may also be on a spiritual level because they connect in that way it’s makes the attraction so much more intense.

I get a very strongly emotional reaction to this song. It’s the guitar playing for me, there is so much feeling and heart in it. Steve and Phil together were amazing and Phil and Viv still are. If you get the chance to see them in concert I highly recommend it. If you want to hear a really different side to Def Leppard try Slang. They tried to go in a different direction but it didn’t play well for some of their fans but I love it.
