Oh! Mick Ole Friend...........you certainly hit home for me with this video....Champion effort. Done many a jaunt in them areas, and your cam views and stills are so loaded with too many brain waking memories. Thanks heaps mate.....Plus, that RX Loco, my ole grey matter seems to relocate a memory or two of my youth shoveling tucker for that boiler...Wow! Am so awakened....Thanks Mick & Sally...Luv you folk.....Cheers👍
Gee Dennis, sounds like you really did enjoy that one, such a lovely ares to be in. I sometimes wish that I had a few more years in the steam era before it all disappeared. I can recall some of it, but not too much.
Great road trip - nice suprise news at the close - on a road (and ferry😊) trip to Tassie...on the road by now? safe travels - happy adventures. Now to this vlog stunning scenery - as I have said before your vlogs are informative and interesting intros to places to put on our must visit/ revisit lists. Thank you Jan Adelaide P.S. thank you for the "memory thoughts" - Tassie 4 weeks 2023 - never to be forgotten
Thankyou Mick and Sally for another most interesting and informative video. We love seeing all the great places you visit and looking forward to more of them soon. Happy and safe travelling to both of you from Norm and Jenny ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😊
I just l-o-v-e those sunsets!! Wow, wouldn't it be nice to have that view permanently with glorious sunsets each night!! It would be like having a painting that always changed colour each day. I do hope that you enjoy your trip to Tasmania! It is one of my most favourite places to visit. I have done three trips - two with my Dad before he passed away & the third one on my own as he had a car accident a week before we were to leave. I much prefer visiting Tasmania in late November as the gardens are at their best this time of the year. February they were not so great. Also if you want to visit the Lavender factory, then you need to do it before they mow it down in late January/early February so I missed out on seeing the plants in all their purple glory!
I might have mentioned it before, my son and I are now fishing regularly on the Gulf coasts. He travels down from Sydney, then we travel together from Canberra. It doesn't surprise us, but many jetty fishers are trying to catch breakfast lunch and dinner. We predominantly catch and release, but will always donate a squid or two and a legal size fish to those who we deem to be homeless or just poor.
Stanley great place must go and see the penguins come home And if you do the Tarkine Drive do leave early! Via Marrawah (Green Pt Road- Beach Rd car park - surfers - to your left we saw surfing seagulls!! Mini waves in a channel and we watched enthralled as they surfed!! We have it on video) Safe travels Jan Adelaide
So much to see and so much to do, we might have to retire to the island🤔 We are now at Sulphur Creek slowly making our way to Stanley so will be looking at most if not all that you have mentioned here, thank you.👍
Hi again Mick and Sally, Mick of years ago I heard grain vessels load up at Port Adelaide and or at Wallaroo, and then for deeper waters they go down to Port Lincoln to top up, if that is still the way they do it, I don't know, your videos are very impressive, and thank you for them very very much. Mick
Hi again Mick and Sally, pedestrian crossings are not valued in New Delhi India, if your tired of living, your welcome to go and try to cross one, wow Mick, what a Great country we all have here in Australia, I wonder if it is going to continue to be so. Mick
Gee, glad we are not intending on going to New Delhi😃😃 Hopefully our country will not change too much while we are still around, scary though where it is headed.
@@justcruisinwithmicksally837 Yes Mick, our country is in something not right, seems someone else is in charge, and is letting the now government to clean up the Australian traditions for them so they can bring in their own, it's hard not knowing what to do, or how to go about it, your videos are Great, sad I can't join you now and then, or try crabbing the way you do, thank you again. Mick
Bonsoir Mike. JPhB
We are currently in Tasmania in a town called Smithton where the outside temperature is 19.4 degrees Celsius. We have been having a lot of wind in Australia now for the last yer or so, seems more than usual. Take care my friend.
@@justcruisinwithmicksally837 Bonjour Mike et Merci pour ta réponse. Au plaisir de consulter une prochaine visite de l'Australie. Prends soin de toi ! Prenez soin de vous ! JPhB from France.
Once again, Mick, you haven't disappointed. Amazes me the infrastructure involved when dealing with grain exports etc (Can't provide any more knowledge than you on the conveyor belt setup, I'm afraid). Have you a Video of Arno Bay by any chance?
We have not been to Arno bay since we started RUclips so unfortunately the answer is no. We might be going that way later this year if we survive Tasmania ok.
Can offer suggestions where to visit what to do: Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary- VIP tour $90 pp but it's was special and we had one on one interaction with a Tassie Devil And Evendale Markets ....country and interesting ( both nearbye as is Don River Railway) Safe travels Jan
Always open to suggestions of what to see while here Jan. I just Googled both and they are near Devonport and we are heading towards Stanley tomorrow morning. We will keep the locations in mind and might be able to look at them when we return back to the Devonport area prior to sailing back to Geelong.
20:35 that's a Rotunda where the military bands used to play. In some towns with military presence, a military band will play - it's almost a lost cause.
Nice new road up the top and down the hill at moonta caravan park that’s my work mick that was me that said Gday at the service station that morning. Tports is the new grain facility so it’s dock half way so they load out of wallaroo and lucky bay to get a full ship the Wallaroo jetty they can only half fill because the water isn’t deep enough then they go else where to fill the ship
Moonta Bay Caravan park are doing some great improvements there, looks good. Thanks for the info on Wallaroo, lots of money spent there to handle the grain.
I dont have a 4 wheel drive or caravan. So I do appreciate you sharing your experiences with a video. I share you video with Chinese friends and other international friends. It would be good if when you show the map and showed the road that it was slower. To people not familiar with English names it happens too fast. Why doesnt the fullscreen tab work?
You do what I do, stop the video!! I do this several times on occasions, today only once as I realised that in S.A. on the York Peninsula they also have a Paramatta which we have in NSW, only ours is the second important city after Sydney itself.
Our caravan is a full on road van so any place that you see us go, you will know it is ok for something that isn't off road. If there is something that you would like to view and think the video is rolling too fast, hit the pause and once ready start it playing again. To run the map any slower would be a great turn off to those who know the area. Your full screen issue is something that unfortunately, you will have to ask someone to show you how to do it.
20:32 Australia has the most WWI and WWII memorials in the world. I won't go politics but a Prime Minister 'decreed' that it shall be so. And so it happened. In the past, no politics, a certain Government, cut off the funding. Small towns are at the mercy of donations for upkeep.
Interesting that you should mention that Australia has the most, I have always felt that Australia has never cherished its history very well, good to hear.
A little piece of paradise. You try for some southern calamari next time you are over that way, Mick. Loved the video
Calamari, for sure next time🙂
Caught my first ever tommy ruff of the port Hughes jetty back in 62.
I wonder if they are about now like they would have been back in the 60's

Just have to love a beach location with the water to the west👌😃👍
What stunning sunsets at Moonta Bay,
I'm heading over for Easter
Thanks for showing me around 😊

Great vid, just curious about your Landcruiser, what year and model. Petrol or diesel. 🤔👍
2016 VX diesel V8

The grain loader there is owned by T port. Nothing really to do with the size of the ships just a different grain handler to viterra.
Cheers mate.👍
whole area just gets so busy these days sadly
The peak periods must be a nightmare at times, we are just so lucky we have the time to choose when we visit the area.
That was a sand crab you were holding not blue swimmer
Sorry, it was a Bluey
