For a more comparable and simpler option, I'd suggest having a look at the Allen & Heath Qu-16 or Qu-24 mixers which feature multitrack recording direct to a USB drive or over a USB connection to a PC or Mac.

Yes, I've used quite a few of them in the field. Personally I have not had any issue.
