Great job Johnny! I have been mixing on the Avantis since April of last year and it does a great job. There were even some features that you uncovered that I hadn't noticed before. It was a big change coming from a Yamaha M7 and having all the faders at your fingertips, to mixing off of pages but as long as you are strategic with your Strip assignments, DCAs and groups you can make it work to stay on 1 layer during a service. I also have a full choir and orchestra to mix so a more contemporary church with just a worship band can achieve that quite easily. Like you, I would definitely recommend this to a church looking to upgrade their system but not wanting to drop the big money on a dLive. All the best.
That's awesome! I'm glad you've been enjoying your's too! I think we're going to see a ton of churches moving to Allen & Heath over the next couple years!
Great content and overview. The church where I'm MD is getting two of these consoles (FOH& broadcast), but we're coming up on a year of waiting because of delays on the Dante cards. Consoles and all associated gear (I/O racks, personal mixers, etc.) have been sitting in storage since the summer, and looks like the Dante cards are still 4 months out (at best). Anyone interested should be aware of the delays on all the A&H accessory cards (believe Dante are most delayed) as it can bring your install to a halt as you wait - very frustrating...
Do not wait for the dante cards to get the console, get the console asap and then whenever the cards come in they come because you’re going to be wait a long time for it. People are still waiting from 2021 for their dante card orders to show up. Go get your consoles immediately
@@dubanentertainment5783 The consoles and all associated gear (i/o racks, personal mixers, etc.) have been sitting in storage since the early summer (2022). We have no way to install them without Dante. Our current Vi3000 has Dante built in natively, and it's essential in our install. So we're stuck waiting unfortunately.
@@dubanentertainment5783 Haha - that is is for sure. We actually looked into both Waves and GigaAce, but both of those cards are just about as tricky to get right now unfortunately. Supposedly our cards will ship in April, but that's after being told 'for sure' December 2022. We shall see.
Bin sehr zufrieden.
I’m thinking on investing in a solo but there’s something that’s keeping me away from this decision.. I’ve seen many groups online talking about problems with the Avantis failing mid show: either freezing and passing audio but faders not responding or orher issues in that line: have you really used it day in and day out to try its reliability? I’ll be using it even outside in the miami weather. How are they with working in hot weather?
I think it's awesome! I wish it were a little less expensive... but it does have ALL the features of the larger one, just with half the control surface. So the only place it feels limited is in the physical space. As far as everything else goes, it's functionally identical.
@@WorshipSoundGuy aside from the normal(Eq’s, compressors,…..) Gates for drums. Maybe separate eqs for too and bottom mics on a snare? Anything that you might consider standard practice in a church setting these days. Maybe even some eqs or presets for the on board effects. That would cool.
@@WorshipSoundGuy I'll chime in on this - if possible offering packages specific to dPack and non dPack enabled consoles would be ideal. This would be a great asset to have quickly accessible starting points to getting things dialed in. Aside from that general speech, vocal, instrument, drums, bus, and master presets would be a great starting place.

Absolutely! Hi Could you comment on using a Slate Raven Mti2 or MTZ to control streaming mix, be it a Matrix or Ableton Live via Dante.. What other options would you suggest for streaming mix control for the Avantis?

Oh wow. That’s a heart breaker. If possible could you use a GigaAce card option from one Avantis to the next to get signal from location to the other.

Will you ever do a video on your presets pack for Avantis just purchased it, happy to have a starting point
Is the quality of the preamps and audio quality the same as the SQ7?

How does the Avantis solo feel? Does it feel different? Does it feel limited compared to the regular Avantis?

Do you have WSG presets for this yet? Been missing them since we upgraded from GLD series
SO soon ;) Are there any specific features/presets/anything that you'd like to see with a preset package that would make it really useful for you?

It is worth Allen and heath giving to us for free. D pack free please
I don’t like that you have to pay $1500 for software to be downloaded to use it for the reason people buy it
so many misleading statements here. Remember, this is basically a made for TV informercial
