TRX Straddle Press Up to Pike

  • I think this would be another great addition to my press to handstand circuit. It is truly a full body exercise, which works on all 3 elements of Strength, Stretch and Control!
    Loved doing this! My arms look gross from this angle though, too manly! :(

    @AnitaGoaTV you have a choice of either the x-mount (that is the ceiling mount) or the door anchor. if you are going to attach it permanently in your studio, then get the x-mount... if you are going to travel around with it, then get the door anchor, or you can get both as they are not that expensive (X-mount = US$ 34.95 and Door Anchor is $24.95)... if you have something like a chin-up bar in your studio, or something you can hang it from, you do not even need the ceiling mount. :)

    i love the gymnastics inspired trx moves!!! im planning on getting certified to be a trx instructor in february, and would love to try out some of these moves!!! thank you!!!!!

    @AnitaGoaTV thank you for your response. it might be best for me with the door mount as i most probably will travel with it and use it with clients. and then use it in the gym (chin up bar as you recommend). i am excited to work on it with handstands etc. thanks for your inspiration, this will be my birthday gift to myself! and to everyone else i train :-)

      Maybe... your name sounds very familiar..... did you take Pilates with me? hehe! Seriously, have you tried the parang handstand push ups on the TRX? Works your shoulder as in a shoulder press but with bodyweight, balance and "core" stabilization so you're not swinging around ;p

    My good friend was once a fat. He went from 285 lbs of pure fat to 217lbs of pure lean muscle. We thought it was phenomenal! I just registered myself as I wanna strengthen. He used the Muscle Building Bible (Google it)...
