And that was not just any Japanese man. He is Kenzo Shirai. 3 Time World Floor Exercise Champion in 2013, 2015 and 2017. He is capable of scoring 16.000 on floor with a Difficulty Value of 7.2. He was the 1st to perform a Quadruple Twist at a World Championships. Only Shirai and Simone Biles have successfully performed a Triple Twisting Double Salto in a World Championships. The most difficult skill on floor so far. Yulo and Shirai train at the National Gymnastics Training Center in Tokyo Japan. ❤️

Kenzo shirai might be carlos’ greatest rival in the floor exercise during the tokyo olympics.kenzo was the first one to do the triple twist that everybody thought was not possible.injuries just precluded him to be in his best.well just like any other athletes...but i pray that carlos will be in his best form during the olympics🙏🙏🙏

I was jumping with pride when this happened less than a year ago, and now gold medal on the podium, how ecstatically proud I am even more. Caloy will go to the Olympics as the reigning world champion on floors, the thought is just mind blowing. Love this powerhouse, he has beaten the best of the bests, well, technically with the absence of Kenzo Shirai, but still, he's beaten the reigning world champions Arthur Dalaloyan and Nagornyy🤯😍🥰☝️✌🏻🤟🙏🇵🇭❤
