I live in Australia. I can buy 7 to 8 iPhones in just one month's salary. I bought my iPhone 12 Pro in year March-2021 using monthly EMI with 0% interest for 3 years. I am still using it. I had Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge which I bought in 2016 and it stopped working hence I had to go for the new phone. I never used iPhone before so bought it in March-2021. Next time I will buy iPhone 18 or 19 if Apple comes up with some significant innovation. Only fools can buy it with full upfront payment even though EMI with 0% is available.
This is one of the points that everyone misses. In US, an average person can buy 5 iPhones with his one months salary and in India, even if you are in the top 5%, you can barely buy 1 iphone with your in-hand salary.
