The crux of the matter as I have understood, it's a depreciating asset which is blessed with a heavy taxation. Person who need a car to meet the family needs will definitely buy a car basis on his budget. The only point that needs to be kept in mind is to be careful to what one spends. Once we all are financially educated we will find our way to save money.

Imagine people who fit their family of 3,4/5 in a scooter risking their lives. Now these people loot and it would never not be a problem if this is a functioning bureaucracy,But unfortunately this a corrupt immoral system,Where IAS babus loot half and the rest is in politicians pockets as money for their fun and next election. What is left is going in freebies ladli,SC/ST welfare,What-not. Very little being spent on R&D and education,Less job opportunities for skilled,It just sometimes feels like this country is a grindzone in a game only for you to server hop to a place with better loot i.e West. Country where babus with 1L salaries are earning crores in corruption,Politicians sons run over innocents and they are served no justice. And then FM comes out boasts of GST collection like mera desh badal raha hai superpoaar,Lol nahi your looting the commoners. Sometimes feels utterly dejected and want to move out i have much opportunities to do so,But i am too nationalistic to go I just have to live like this and can just imagine myself being the annoying uncles and chacha's at hotels and tea stalls always discussing politics and cussing them out.
