The excited gasps upon seeing Goku’s symbol and then the immediate disappointment a second later were my exact reaction. They’re really just gonna feed Goku to Superman again.

@@johnjordan211, you’re missing the point. Death battle has already covered this matchup, twice. And Goku already lost both times. Making a third one is pointless and redundant when we all know what the outcome is going to be, and we know they are only covering this fight again just to instigate more drama between the Dragon Ball and DC communities.
@@tokusatsukeyblade797 that’s literally not true. They’re trying to fix the mistakes in the first two episodes to make a true decisive episode to represent both characters of how they truly are. Ben Singer heat Goku versus Superman two for obvious reasons, but still .They also are picking specific versions of them this time not saying Goku is going to win, but clearly it’s gonna already be more fair.
For clarification they're using Heroes Goku and Infinite Frontier Superman

Just because we aren’t that excited for Goku Superman doesn’t mean we think it’ll be bad, the team have cooked all season im sure it’ll be great. Just not something we’re hyped about!
As someone who had this as one of their top 20 most wanted I am so happy on how well it turned out
I've heard this next match will be a modern remake of the fight, and Ben Singer posted a tweet saying that they'll be compositing Dragon Ball Heroes for Goku and Infinite Frontier for Superman.
Note: I would mention that both GVS 1 & 2 were updated on the Death Battle Channel in both titles and description saying they were outdated and inaccurate. So, despite what they said back then, Ben Singer is open on doing a Re-analysis on the matchup, hopefully to fix the missteps they had in both of their previous episodes they did with these too.
Aqua said the next episode is the most excited she’s ever been for a death battle and will be live streaming her reaction once the episode comes out

Heads up for the Goku Superman match, they are apparently using the Super DragonBall Heroes Goku and the Infinite Frontier Superman for this fight
Infinite Frontier Superman was a recon in DC that made everything canon. Pre Crisis, Post Crisis, New 52, and Rebirth will be combined.
Superman is gonna blast Goku with mini supremen from his fingers

Goku vs Superman v3 is the “Byleth in Smash” of Death Battle. Unexpected yet also safe and very lame, especially when everything before it has been fantastic.

Actually it would have been pointless since the regeneration didn’t begin till the end of the speech so if Rick kept shooting it would just waste energy he even said hurry up before he started the speech showing how he was waiting for the regeneration to start
They gave him some passing knowledge of Time Lords because he's demonstrated it in canon, so I guess what he knew included that

Yeah it would be nice to bring in new matchups. It makes me think of how Digimon has been treated, with Pokémon being their ONLY opponents (there are only two good matchups there and Death Battle has done neither of them).
