I just ordered my first pair. Hopefully I ordered the right size 🤞🏽
Thank you for making the video we didn't know we needed ✨✨ so thorough, helpful, and straight to the point !!!
Of course!! 😊 Thank you so much for watching!
Thank you for showing everything up close, I really liked your video!
Of course! Thank you for watching! 😊
Hi! Thanks for making this!
Hi Stevie! Thank you for watching!
Just ordered some and am excited to skate again. I'm 28 and vividly remember going skating during the weekends as a kid, but had forgotten about it. Last year, we took our students skating as a field trip/reward (middle school teacher) and I had a blast at the rink
That's awesome! I'm glad going to the rink was able to reignite that spark again for you. I hope you enjoy your new skates!
Just want to add that the newer generation Moonboots also have a much thinner but denser tongue starting beginning of the year. Most people dont notice cause both are super comfy but theres more plush in older ones i liked more sadly but it will flatten quicker & thus the newer will give support longer. I noticed cause I have skinny feet & skate my moonboots daily!
My Mirrorballs i got from an August direct preorder in Nov. The tongues are ~ 2cm thick looking down on them & stitching looks a bit diff than newer ones which look ~ 1cm thick & feel denser. When i put both on you can see my Mirrorball ankle looks wider & hits slightly higher as a result.
MLR CS confirmed all this occured around beggining of 2021, so when i got my Night fevers in February & freaked out & DM & they assured me theyre better long run.
Sadly my skinny heel slips a little in my newer Night fevers. So Im adding a layer of Faux Minky fur (10-15mm piles) to line my tongue kinda like Reidell w the Shearling instead of an insole to get more plush.
Great catch! Hopefully adding in that layer can give you some more padding. I can’t wear mine anymore due to my ankles not being padded enough 😞
@@wheelymoose oh wow you should def try this - I use mine for light cruising on rinks/outdoor good surfaces for dance/rhythm because i need all the flex.
I also have Moxi panthers (wanna be jacks lol) that i use for trails so i totally get needing support I dont feel as safe in my Moonboots honestly no big treks & you rely a lot more on ankle strength ya know.
If you still have yours I def recommend trying a tongue liner w Minky Cuddle, strips are $6 in amazing colors on Etsy. Ive seen 2 DIY done well one w Shearling like Reidells!
I was actually considering selling ones that can attach temp or permanent on my Etsy ‘Rhapsodic Threads’ or I can do special orders for peoples skates to fit narrow feet better esp cause many good skates are less ‘plush’ style ime. I just stocked multiple color blends very moonlight style blacks & greys.
But whats also cool is MLR posted the new light blue skate this week & it has NEW PLATES finally!!! it has a set screw on the adjustable stops. Im so jealous & they are also now painting ANY plates to look cute & last longer & so far no price increases on new plates🤞🏻🤞🏻 i mean its $70 for ship to & from plus paint & then a smaller upgrade on direct skates im not clear yet maybe $30?
@@LynleyCat I’ll have to try that out! Thanks for the recommendation Lynley! I’m excited to see how these new plates compare to the old ones. I’m hoping that I can get a pair of the new blues to try🤞🤞. It’s awesome that they added the option to add the powder coating to your plates AND have the ability to send them in too!
Thank you for highlighting these differences. I just got a pair of cosmetic blemish moon boots and I wasn’t sure if it was gen 1 or gen 2. But now I know they are gen 2 based on the heel 🛼😊
Of course! Thank you for watching! 😊
Thank youuu soo much for your video!!
Of course! Thank you for watching! ☺️
Great video! Also your ears are super cute:D
Thank you so much! ☺️
Wow u only have a few subs we gotta change that 😧 I’m new sub now lol! Will you review the prowlers when they come out? If they did any updates on them
Thank you for subscribing!! ☺️ I will try to get my hands on them and see if they have the updated plate🤞
What is the main intention for this boot since it is more flexible in the boot neck ? Dance skating ?
I would say either dance skating, just cruising around, or trail skating would be the best uses for this boot. Basically anything that won't cause a lot of impact on the ankles (i.e. not the best for park skating)
New sub here! Can’t wait for more videos~~
Thank you for subscribing!
A drop just occurred. Anyone know if the plates were upgraded?
I haven’t heard about them rolling the new plate out yet. I’m hoping this spring will be the last drop before the new plate. I’m keeping my eye out for the new plate to review it!
I think new color- light blue? Also saw a story they may powdercoat colors on their plates instead of diff ones. Which makes me think its not happening for awhile.
I just wish they had the lock screw for stops otherwise I like the plates for my needs.
Moonlight actually recently replied to one of my comments saying the new skates coming out like Aquamarine will have them!
I love your ears😍
Thank you! ☺️
Are they aggretsuko ears ? 😻
@@Smallbootyhoe3869 No but they are very similar! 😊 These ears are based on sugar cookies
