It looks like the eyes are not just painted on like most modern dolls. They seem to be separate parts that were inserted (like old glass eyes were) or they were painted and then covered with a clear, slightly curved piece of plastic. They're usually shiny and when savanna uses the acetone, only the lashes and eyeliner come off. Because they're curved, it would be difficult to paint eyes on that piece of plastic without it looking weird from other angles
She came out so fricking cute! Btw, if the eyes are insert eyes, you can make a cut in the back of the head, cut the plastic holding them in place and pop them out. You can find the process when looking for Rainbow High or ILY Forever dolls costumization (MyFroggyStuff has a video about modifying the eyes). It's too late for you to change them for this doll but it's good to know for the future!
I lovee the bagel babies!!! if ur hunting for a more adult-like doll body to customize, I feel like the Omg Lol dolls mold would rlly suit them! If you're looking for more chibi proportions, the tween omg dolls could also work (maybe mold on more curves?)
There's a couple Fidgie Friends that could be perfect for this as they come with their own bagel-shaped skirts. They aren't very popular so they should be on sale.
She turned out so great! The curls are so darn adorable and looks really great on her! The bagels looks so soft and perfect. Like she is wearing a squishie toy bagel. Really nice touch. I think for the more mature womanly body, a lol Omg or fierce doll would be a great base. They are like the big sister versions of the small baby lol dolls. They are quite curvy and absolutely high heeled. You could use her current head and put it on a omg body to make it more fitting to your initial design. I love hybridizing dolls so that's the first thing I thought of.
She’s just the actual Bagel Baby instead of the Bagel Babes 😊 These girls are so freaking cute!! If I get better at 3D modeling and printing, or had the time to manually sculpt, I would totally offer to try to help make dolls. That’s what I’m finishing school to try to go into ❤
The face up you did on that doll is stunning! I think the head works really well! maybe you could swap it onto a Lol Omg doll which have more adult proportions!
I think Unicorn Sprinkles from the doll line Fidgie friends would be a perfect base doll for Evie Everything would just have to paint her skin differently
If you put the head in boiled water it'll soften it enough to take the head off without damaging the doll. And then you can take out the hair plugs and remove the coloring from her scalp. At the veryleast it'll make yer new hair stick better, but it also gives you the option of rerooting the new hair to her head.
Hi I don’t if this is your first attempt at costumizeing , but she’s beautiful. I know you expressed some dissatisfaction with her body. There are two methods to make her waist smaller one includes binding the and boiling the doll, the other would be heating the plastic with a heat gun or hairdryer and pushing it in. As breasts those can easily molded onto the body, epoxyscalpt is most popular. Her eyes can also be changed by removing the head and applying pressure. Once you’ve popped them out you can use the original base to make new eyes. I’ll include links for videos on all the things I recommend
