@@davidvaldez2363 from the levels that this album possesses from Bruno Mars being an amazing Musician, singer, songwriter and producer and Andy being an amazing Drummer and Singer along with all the man played instruments you must be out of your mind if you think Drake or Kanye are on the same level artistically as these two, let alone Bruno. I am excited for both of those albums but this one is gonna take the cake.

I always appreciated Bruno's voice and talent, but i wasn't too keen on the songs he wrote for himself. But the stuff he's making with Paak?? FIRE. It still showcases the undeniable talent he has, along with a very talented group that is as stunning to witness.
The stuff he wrote for himself was to draw a certain audience, I believe for money. If you listen to the stuff he has wrote for other people or even songs like his own Gorilla showcases his true skill set.
I completely agree with you on this. This is FIRE but I never cared too much for most of Bruno's solo stuff.

@@chi2twn It's a hit song by Vaughn Mason & Crew called "Bounce, Rock, Roll, Skate"..1979 i believe ..song played in all skating rinks..no color barriers..just good clean fun ..back when going to the skating rink was a regular weekly/weekend place to be at the beach too..70's thru early 90's. 4:00 Skating rinks and skating is still popular in Black culture. Especially in the south.
They take a couple productions like Quincy Jones with MJ and Chaka khan and Rufus of the late 70s. And all the Gamble & Huff songs with the MFSB . But if I can guess the song that inspired "Skate" is "AIN'T No Stoppin Us Now". But definitely this is the Philly Sound. Great song, great vibe. Awesome video remininding us how beautiful our Black women are. You guys are helping an old man reminiscing the best in the 70s and early 80s of grooving vibeing, feeling good.

i think what many people miss about that XXL cypher is while it was an "honor" he didn't have much to prove. Compton had already happened with him being the most featured on the album. Malibu was already out which end up being Grammy nominated. and the tiny desk (which is to this day still the most viewed with 74million and counting) came out a month later. A lot of his "best work" according to some people was before that cypher so maybe it was him not taking it serious enough that made him not "show up". 2016 is arguably one of the best classes they had from a "where are they now" perspective but he was and is in an entirely different lane than Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Yachty, Kodak Black, Denzel Curry, G Herbo, Dave East, Lil Dicky, Desiigner and 21 Savage.
