Over a month ago I purchased a version of this that is made by Militado. There are some extremely subtle differences, none of which a non-watch person would pick up on. I absolutely love it and am so impressed with the quality. The one drawback is that the large seconds hand is used for the chronograph function and if you leave it running it drains the batter prematurely. The sweep from the VK61 Meca Quartz is awesome, eliminating the pronounced stutter typical of regular quartz movements. With a coupon, I paid a little over $100 for mine. And delivery was free.
I picked it up last year during an 11-11 sale on Ali. It’s ridiculous how good it is in both design and execution. And the lume practically shames my Seikos.
Really nice bold design. I hope Baltany can make a simple field version without the chronograph complication, adding '6' and '12' markers and using the Seiko VH31 movement. Maybe increase the index markers 5%, but keep everything else identical (except the chronograph pushers).
I own BOTH, the calendar Chrono and the regular field one. They are very nice watches for about 155 each, they came in on thursday...very nice and light weight. I have been looking for a light weight watch for work, a bit of a change than my heavily built diver watches that I usually take to work.
Almost a winner. Silver sub-dial hands are invisible hard to see. If those tiny hands were white for visibility (not silver) this would be an instant buy.
There is an "updated" version with white hands, besides, there is also a "type b" model with triple sub-dial by Baltany that has white small hands too.
3:34 does it also bother you when people leave those warning stickers on their car windows? I do not get why people don’t peel those suckers off. It’s like they think it’s illegal to do it.
It's because the NATO scuffs the hell out of the case back. Sticker protects it. Especially if you are a flipper and plan to sell it after getting bored of it.

Great take on this excellent watch. I have one and would add: it has one of the most flawlessly clear pieces of sapphire I've seen on a sub 1k watch.
