I know you may be getting tired (I heard you say that in one of your videos) but I want you to know that you, and people like you, are a beacon for me at times. During Covid, I found Charles online and resonated with his philosophy on life. I bought his book, The More Beautiful World....Then, because I listen to and am gravitated to NDE stories, I came upon Drew's story and wow, here you both are! I am impressed and in awe of the profound artwork produced by Drew. He had a keen since of spirituality as demonstrated through art prior to his illness. I purchased copy of A Life Well Lived, and although the art style (bold funky colors) does not fit with my warmer colored room, I have found a spot for it and cherish it. Thank you for this discussion and the energy/vibration it holds/puts out. A thought occurred to me while listening that wasn't expressed, but probably would have been if the discussion had gone a little further, regarding how to deal with a psychopathic personality or people choosing a dark path, when we want to increase the level of goodness and decrease the level of suffering in the world. This is my answer to that question. To recap the video a bit for context so this answer will make sense, in the video they were talking about how people had told Drew, who went through a 'positive' (near-death) experience "for" all of us; "Thank you for going through that experience for me; I'm glad I didn't have to go through that myself (and yet it touched me and affected me to see you going through it)." We can, in a similar way, internally in our experience of our life, respond to the psychopath or to one we see as choosing a dark path. We could say, "Thank you for going through this experience for all of us." (because by the time our souls graduate from this wheel of incarnation/re-incarnation, we have all played both the bad guy/gals and the good guy/gals) In the case of someone playing the role of a "bad" experience (ie, of being psychopathic, or choosing a dark path, or even just something we personally don't prefer)- we can thank the psychopath (or anything/one we see as 'evil') because thus we have just in our own mental experience, broken the bond of 'separation' : of seeing ourselves as separate from that evil/bad/dark/psychopathic person or thing. By seeing a bit of our larger connected selves in the seemingly dark/crazy ones, this acknowledgement of our inter-connection helps us to stay out of a "judgement" mindset - and helps to create an invitation, as Charles said, for their choosing a different path if/when desired (as discussed) so we are not by/with our resistance to it, holding that 'bad'/'evil'-ness in a pattern of it not being able to change itself/it's path, by our resistance to it which functions to hold it and cement it into place further by virtue of our lack of acknowledgement of our interconnection with it - with ALL of creation, including the so-called 'bad' parts. What you resist/separate yourself from, persists/doesn't change/can't change until we stop resisting and separating ourselves from it. This is the MIRACLE of creation-when we suddenly wake up and realize that ALL of creation including the seemingly bad parts, are actually rooted in an unconditional, non-dual Love or Connection (opposite Separation) power of the Universe/Creation. That forgiveness is the rule in an un-conditionally (non-judgemental) loving Universe and that ultimate goodness will always 'win' out in the long-run, and evil is temporary because love/uniting force of creation persists beyond dualities of seemingly right and wrong, yin and yang, black and white, dark and light. Karma mechanism of Universe/Creation is how we evolve and learn it is not meant to punish us. God doesn't punish us, nor does He/She/It create evil - it's only evil from a judgemental, duality-level of consciousness. Transcending into non-duality, unconditional love and forgiveness and presence with our moment-to-moment experience and constant forgiveness of ourselves aligns us with that vibration. And we realize that judgement is a huge waste of energy/time/presence that could otherwise be spent more productively and happily in constant effort to aligning ourselves with non-judgement as a force for goodness in the world whereas before, we thought we were adding to the goodness of the world BY our exercise of judgement - of us deciding what we think is good or bad, and then supporting or not supporting it accordingly. By transcending our judging mind and the dualities inherent in it we thus align with that unconditionally present love-and life-giving energy always present beyond negative and positive - thus we have transcended our own judgment, and are now Be-ing that positive vibration that we want to 'send out.' And now I forgive myself for writing such a long comment! :-)

Really appreciated this. I had a similar moment of horror and sadness when i was about 8, realizing that everyone I loved was going to die and I didn't know what that really meant - nothingness? Then a dream when i was 10, of seeing a great uncle who had just died, and him assuring me there was no real end and that all was well. That experience stuck with me. I have ever since, hugely valued stories of those who have died and been revived, and the echoing of that message that it is all so much bigger and more beautiful than we can conceive of - it is a message that I never tire of hearing in new ways, so I thank you Charles, and Drew for bringing this to us.

Ha, randomly listening to this and hearing you guys speak on these kind of experiences and hearing the similarities with mine is nice. Knowing (in frame of mind to my experiences) what you guys are talking about. Mushrooms helped to wake up to God(not religion) around 25 years ago. Changed the whole thought direction of my life. My whole paradigm. And then just a couple nights ago i smoked some dmt and had the experience that my soul friends family were just on the other side rooting for me, that were not alone and that nothing here really matters. It's just a show but that it does matter and we have to find our reasons why it matters to us. We have to make a decision. We have to choose. I didn't know that Charles had a relationship with psychedelics. Listening to a couple of his videos yesterday and as I was listening I was like it sounds like he's trying to bring people to the understanding that we are the creators of our reality. But if you tell people how much we are the creators you'll sound like a crazy person and they'll stop listening so you kinda have choose your words carefully. Anyway the message I perceived is the messages Ive received on psychedelics extremely clear a couple of times. I just watched the video and it moved me deeply. By watching it I felt deeply connected and it brought some missing vibrations to my conciousness. Not that I didn’t knew about it somehow, but now I can see a bigger and way more clear picture of everything including myself. And it is not only seeing, it is knowing by feeling it. This was really important to me and I desperately needed it to continue to find my way in this world. I know this experience will change some stuck vibrations in my being. Thank you so much for sharing your story and your insights. I cannot fathom what you and your wife must have been through and what it took to make it back. Apart from the NDE, it makes you view things differently. The people in power act upon a very specific worldview they have. When you believe there is no God and no order in the universe and especially in the material world, then it´s up to a certain "elite" to establish that order doing whatever they deem "necessary", building "order" out of a perceived "chaos". Then you can use anything (nature, animals, humans) as a commodity, believing it has no consequences. And while I believe that there are powers of dark and powers of light, it´s not about - symbolically speaking - fighting/ignoring the dark but shining a light (offering love) into the darkness, as Charles said: seeing them for who they truly are - but have forgotten about: beings of light (who took the wrong path).

What a story ! I don’t think he had any choice in coming back, for whatever reason. To me the whole experience speaks to how mighty and generous our creator is, to send him back. It’s for a reason that only God knows. But probably goes back to the same reason why we’re here in this realm, we are here to serve , serve our creator, by living a “good life” according to Gods expectations and demands from us. God has given this man a second chance, perhaps a more powerful one than all the second chances we all get by simply waking up everyday. My only wish for this man is to use his second chance to deliver gods will and further his message to humanity.

It's what I tried to do for a long time, I've come close to death many times, but we just aren't all welcome everywhere. When someone is going through something so horrific, and being isolated to also be scapegoated by everyone, including people who don't even know us, it can be very triggering for someone with a history of trauma. Some people are going way too far online. I still see the potential in people, but I also have to protect myself.
Speaking of the billionaire, I have such painful compassion for what someone may have to go through to make the choice to get out of the hell of separation they traveled so deep into to find their way back to the Light! Shedding all those layers of darkness could make this Drew's journey back to health look like a cakewalk! Imagine awakening to the horror of the pain they caused others and having to feel that!!! The purification process is real, don't you think?
It's good to have an understanding that there exists a much greater truth beyond just this game of subject/object, me/not-me. It's also good to understand that the game is ongoing. If one chooses the side of good (which may not exist in the realm of absolute truth, but it certainly exists in the realm of subjective truth, i.e. the game), then one must necessarily come into conflict with evil. To determine the merit of good hating evil, one must consider: the purpose(s) of the game, if hating evil helps to defeat evil, and if there exists any merit aside from winning the game. To the first consideration, nobody knows the purpose of the game (except for me, of course), so it's kind of a moot point. To the second consideration, hatred is passion and passion is fuel. Look at how many people were filled with negative emotions that fueled them to success. Me hating the people dropping bombs on children motivates me to action. Me realizing the unity of all things motivates me to do nothing. To the third consideration, it's another moot point, because nobody can know anything outside the game of knowing. I should also say, hatred for evil should be directed towards evil. If the most evil person of all time stands before you defeated, and genuinely apologizes, the hatred should disappear, because there is nothing left to hate. Were the Big German Baddy to have genuinely apologized for doing all he did, there is no reason, at least to my mind, why he shouldn't be welcomed into society with open arms (albeit under a watchful eye). This may just be my justification for hating bad people. I could be completely wrong; I probably am. If I was smarter, I would have written less. Love you Charles!
Charles, have you watched the movie Melancholia? In one scene one of the protagonists says: “the earth is evil” and “life on earth is evil…nobody will grieve for it”. What if this statement is true? Isn’t all life and all that is good condemned to end? To go through illness, decay, loneliness and death? Needless to mention the cruelty visited upon human being, even at the womb, and animals and nature by our own civilization, our own society, including animals, as life feeds on life, and it always ends in a heartbreaking plead for mercy. Even if we were to turn this world into a man-made paradise, we are cursed by old age and death. What if this is a prison? If so, shouldn’t we pray for this prison to be destroyed? Catholicism encourages not having children…could there be a connection to the aforementioned questions?

The most amazing thing is that many animals, including human beings, are biological, chemical-mechanical machines that are experiencing a state of conscious awareness with a stunning degree of sharpness. If there are any metaphysical elements that define us, then they are interacting with what we call "matter". And if they are interacting with matter, then they are _measurable._ Thus, if anyone is convinced of the existence of karma, afterlife(s), 'universal consciousness', souls, etc., please work to directly measure these phenomenon. Interesting stories of what a brain, -a brain literally designed for hallucinating reality, hallucinated as the body was slowly shutting-down, are simply not good enough, and never will be. She suffered “almost as much as he did” oh I don’t think so. Extreme extended physical torture, facing one’s own death, crawling out destroyed to endless rehab grappling with a total breakdown of personality … The fact she’s there for a piece of the limelight shows ego’s competitiveness and insecurity which might be her lesson to grapple with. As to how to get on the ‘god’ vibration many nders have said meditation and I agree. If we open up, invite in and make our OS the energy that underlies everything instead of the ego yes it could spread and lift the world. Because what you find left when you silence the ego is the wave energy of consciousness itself, and it’s 100% positive, pleasurable, creative, joyful, all knowing all accepting. Money, power, praise - nothing can beat the feeling of existing in it for even a moment. Just be, others see how you feel, they want it too, and the ball rolls. Hate rolls too, but its fuel is limited so it will always burn itself out.
This is the problem with Buddhism. It tells you not to connect to the world that is passing away. Christianity, an incarnational religion, teaches a man how to be in the world - loving service - without being of the world.

Really appreciated this. I had a similar moment of horror and sadness when i was about 8, realizing that everyone I loved was going to die and I didn't know what that really meant - nothingness? Then a dream when i was 10, of seeing a great uncle who had just died, and him assuring me there was no real end and that all was well. That experience stuck with me. I have ever since, hugely valued stories of those who have died and been revived, and the echoing of that message that it is all so much bigger and more beautiful than we can conceive of - it is a message that I never tire of hearing in new ways, so I thank you Charles, and Drew for bringing this to us.

Ha, randomly listening to this and hearing you guys speak on these kind of experiences and hearing the similarities with mine is nice. Knowing (in frame of mind to my experiences) what you guys are talking about. Mushrooms helped to wake up to God(not religion) around 25 years ago. Changed the whole thought direction of my life. My whole paradigm. And then just a couple nights ago i smoked some dmt and had the experience that my soul friends family were just on the other side rooting for me, that were not alone and that nothing here really matters. It's just a show but that it does matter and we have to find our reasons why it matters to us. We have to make a decision. We have to choose. I didn't know that Charles had a relationship with psychedelics. Listening to a couple of his videos yesterday and as I was listening I was like it sounds like he's trying to bring people to the understanding that we are the creators of our reality. But if you tell people how much we are the creators you'll sound like a crazy person and they'll stop listening so you kinda have choose your words carefully. Anyway the message I perceived is the messages Ive received on psychedelics extremely clear a couple of times. And since those experiences the universe has continually given them to me throughout my life. Obviously I could and probably am projecting but I'm OK with that. Lol. Peace

Thank you so much for sharing your story and your insights. I cannot fathom what you and your wife must have been through and what it took to make it back. Apart from the NDE, it makes you view things differently.
The people in power act upon a very specific worldview they have. When you believe there is no God and no order in the universe and especially in the material world, then it´s up to a certain "elite" to establish that order doing whatever they deem "necessary", building "order" out of a perceived "chaos". Then you can use anything (nature, animals, humans) as a commodity, believing it has no consequences.
And while I believe that there are powers of dark and powers of light, it´s not about - symbolically speaking - fighting/ignoring the dark but shining a light (offering love) into the darkness, as Charles said: seeing them for who they truly are - but have forgotten about: beings of light (who took the wrong path).

With all the scenarios playing out in our country, the Philippines, I am reminded again to respond in love and compassion especially in these times where so much is happening in our region - Southeast Asia. What a story ! I don’t think he had any choice in coming back, for whatever reason.
To me the whole experience speaks to how mighty and generous our creator is, to send him back. It’s for a reason that only God knows. But probably goes back to the same reason why we’re here in this realm, we are here to serve , serve our creator, by living a “good life” according to Gods expectations and demands from us.
God has given this man a second chance, perhaps a more powerful one than all the second chances we all get by simply waking up everyday.
My only wish for this man is to use his second chance to deliver gods will and further his message to humanity.

It's what I tried to do for a long time, I've come close to death many times, but we just aren't all welcome everywhere. When someone is going through something so horrific, and being isolated to also be scapegoated by everyone, including people who don't even know us, it can be very triggering for someone with a history of trauma. Some people are going way too far online. I still see the potential in people, but I also have to protect myself.

Speaking of the billionaire, I have such painful compassion for what someone may have to go through to make the choice to get out of the hell of separation they traveled so deep into to find their way back to the Light! Shedding all those layers of darkness could make this Drew's journey back to health look like a cakewalk! Imagine awakening to the horror of the pain they caused others and having to feel that!!! The purification process is real, don't you think?
It's good to have an understanding that there exists a much greater truth beyond just this game of subject/object, me/not-me. It's also good to understand that the game is ongoing. If one chooses the side of good (which may not exist in the realm of absolute truth, but it certainly exists in the realm of subjective truth, i.e. the game), then one must necessarily come into conflict with evil. To determine the merit of good hating evil, one must consider: the purpose(s) of the game, if hating evil helps to defeat evil, and if there exists any merit aside from winning the game. To the first consideration, nobody knows the purpose of the game (except for me, of course), so it's kind of a moot point. To the second consideration, hatred is passion and passion is fuel. Look at how many people were filled with negative emotions that fueled them to success. Me hating the people dropping bombs on children motivates me to action. Me realizing the unity of all things motivates me to do nothing. To the third consideration, it's another moot point, because nobody can know anything outside the game of knowing.
I should also say, hatred for evil should be directed towards evil. If the most evil person of all time stands before you defeated, and genuinely apologizes, the hatred should disappear, because there is nothing left to hate. Were the Big German Baddy to have genuinely apologized for doing all he did, there is no reason, at least to my mind, why he shouldn't be welcomed into society with open arms (albeit under a watchful eye).
This may just be my justification for hating bad people. I could be completely wrong; I probably am. If I was smarter, I would have written less. Love you Charles!
Charles, have you watched the movie Melancholia? In one scene one of the protagonists says: “the earth is evil” and “life on earth is evil…nobody will grieve for it”.
What if this statement is true? Isn’t all life and all that is good condemned to end? To go through illness, decay, loneliness and death? Needless to mention the cruelty visited upon human being, even at the womb, and animals and nature by our own civilization, our own society, including animals, as life feeds on life, and it always ends in a heartbreaking plead for mercy.
Even if we were to turn this world into a man-made paradise, we are cursed by old age and death.
What if this is a prison? If so, shouldn’t we pray for this prison to be destroyed?
Catholicism encourages not having children…could there be a connection to the aforementioned questions?
And if the purpose is contrast, then there will always be contrast.

Anita Moranjis used her NDE experience to inspire others. To show others there’s a different meaning to life. Perhaps that’s his purposes too. We need more NDE people speaking about their experiences to show that A) there’s no big man in the sky that’s going to judge us, B) that we are intrinsically connected to everything c) that our real purpose is to love and take care of this earth d) and that materialism, capitalism etc is a dead end road for us all.

The most amazing thing is that many animals, including human beings, are biological, chemical-mechanical machines that are experiencing a state of conscious awareness with a stunning degree of sharpness.
If there are any metaphysical elements that define us, then they are interacting with what we call "matter". And if they are interacting with matter, then they are _measurable._ Thus, if anyone is convinced of the existence of karma, afterlife(s), 'universal consciousness', souls, etc., please work to directly measure these phenomenon.
Interesting stories of what a brain, -a brain literally designed for hallucinating reality, hallucinated as the body was slowly shutting-down, are simply not good enough, and never will be.
And if you think this 'measure it' requirement is too harsh, consider that it has underscored literally every discovery in human history, ever.

She suffered “almost as much as he did” oh I don’t think so. Extreme extended physical torture, facing one’s own death, crawling out destroyed to endless rehab grappling with a total breakdown of personality … The fact she’s there for a piece of the limelight shows ego’s competitiveness and insecurity which might be her lesson to grapple with. As to how to get on the ‘god’ vibration many nders have said meditation and I agree. If we open up, invite in and make our OS the energy that underlies everything instead of the ego yes it could spread and lift the world. Because what you find left when you silence the ego is the wave energy of consciousness itself, and it’s 100% positive, pleasurable, creative, joyful, all knowing all accepting. Money, power, praise - nothing can beat the feeling of existing in it for even a moment. Just be, others see how you feel, they want it too, and the ball rolls. Hate rolls too, but its fuel is limited so it will always burn itself out.
I think that Billionaire meant exactly what he said. People get off on that.
