I totally agree. In the past I've used all brands from Estee Lauder, MAC Chanel etc and in my humble opinion this foundation can easily compete. I love it and it's my go to.
Hi Robert, could you make a video explaining how you keep everything in your profesional kit hygienic and clean. What you do while doing someone’s makeup and what you do after. I know you talk about this a lot but it would be helpful if you but it all in one video.

I do that too! Lol. I have to like the smell (or at least not notice it) or not I’ll notice how much I don’t like it all day. Kinda sensitive when it comes to that kinda stuff lol.
@@AngelaSmith_1970 I got myself a palette with lipstick sett and lipliner, from my compatriote brand Glamshop. The lipsticks smell lovely, and they have a slightly sweet taste. Which doesn't take anything from how they perform.
I didn’t do that for a while with my stuff, then I used an Ofra liquid lip and my tongue went across it by mistake as it happens and it was the worst taste and I smelled it and I wish I had never used it.
The Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. I absolutely hate it. It was the first not drug-store brand mascara I ever got, and it legit made me think I just had no idea how to put mascara on. It clumped, it felt heavy and sticky all day, and because it had such rave reviews it made me think I just had no idea what I was doing. Since branching out and trying different mascaras as I got more into makeup I realized that it's just the BTS Mascara that is just so bad.
I swear by fit me too , I have really oily skin but I set it with some translucent powder and some setting spray me it stays all day and looks like my skin
Same! I'm combo to dry so I occasionally drop in some face oil, but I love it. Looks natural, stays well, and somehow looks better the longer you wear it.
Lol! 😂🤣 I wouldn't worry though. Eye primers only really took off after 2000. Before that makeup artists were all using concealer and powder. Use what works for you! 😀
There was this woman in a show here in the States when I was a kid (it was the Drew Carrey Show and the woman was named “Mimi”? and she had this turquoise eye shadow that went up her whole lid like you just did. That’s is all I see!) I ADORE you, btw. Thank you for being such a bright light.
I think all makeup companies should have a foundation match tool that allows you to put in the brand, line and color of foundations that match your skin in order to match their brand and line with you. IL Makiage has that tool and they are the only company I’ve purchased foundation from online that matched my skin perfectly.
Shisiedo has that feature too! If someone sees this and is interested in the brand,go directly to their website! I’ve heard good things about their foundation!
There’s a website called ‘findation.com’ which does that and I’ve found it to be really helpful! The more shades you know you are and you put in, the more accurate shades it gives you ☺️
A couple of years ago I had doubts about my skin tone at Sephora. The lady working there used a machine on my skin and it showed her all the available foundations in my skin tone at that store. It was really cool and the foundation I got was a near perfect match!
I love it! I'm dry-combination skin and it doesn't look dry as long as I use a natural finish setting spray. I love the medium coverage bit can build it up over problem spots. My skin is also super sensitive and often things with more coverage than just a very light cover irritate it but no reaction from this!
Correct me if I’m wrong, but maybe the fitme foundation people didnt like was the pressed powder version. I used to use that as a teenager and realized I hate it when i switched to something else. It’s really dusty and cakey
Seeing the fitme foundation in the thumbnail really drew me in because I’ve used it for years and thought it was quite nice, even had compliments on it so that was a surprise! Tbh I don’t have oily skin though and I didn’t even know it was for that so shows how much I read packaging 😂

Agreed. I have the Festival palette and I reached for it a ton when I first got it. (I just have so many newer palettes now I tend to forget about it but I should pull it out more because it's really good. Even the shades are more notorious for being difficult to formulate are pretty good in that palette, especially for the price. I'll definitely steer clear of their pigments in the future and stick to their standard eyeshadow formula after seeing that mess, haha. I just hope it doesn't deter him from trying them in the future because they have some decent products that are very affordable!
@@katherinedavidson2029 I have the lovestruck, starlet, and mirage pallets. The pigments are really really pretty in them and most have a really nice formula. The here lies jester pallette has most of these colors that spectrum does but they are chalky/patchy. I dont understand how people criticise lip plumpers for hurting when the entire point is to irritate your lips so they swell... Of course it hurts!
The wet n wild foundation- several years ago everyone was loving so I got it. It smells like paint thinner and I can’t even understand why people would use something that smells like that on their face
It definitely stinks but considering the price point it has a very flawless finish. Not everyone can afford 20+ for foundation, im grateful im not in that boat. I always recommend wet and wild for people in a pinch, my mom wears it
I love the dewy one, it looks flawless every time, healthy but not overly shiny. And it doesn’t smell like the regular photo focus one. The dewy one does have a bit of a scent but I like it and I’m pretty sensitive to fragrance
I bought it cuz of the reviews too and god yeah it smells so strongly of paint I just didn't use it. Idc if it's a good product why does it smell like house paint. The shade range is atrocious as well.
Best product I ever tried and bought: Laura Mercier foundation and their tinted moisturizer ( it goes on smooth and looks dewy) Worst: Clinque foundation-- they wouldn't know warm olive skin if i hit them in the face
Agreed, I loved using LM's tinted moisturizer for my everyday looks back when I was slightly paler; I want to say it's been the only foundation I've actually fully used up so far.
I bought a Clinique foundation and it color matched well (I’m very pale so honestly it probably wasn’t hard for them to do) but, the formula would show every bit of texture and as a teenage girl going through all kinds of hormonal imbalances with combo oily / dry skin it was just a nightmare. It was on sale at ulta so I didn’t have to pay full price, if I did I would’ve been even more upset. 🤷♀️
The Profusion palette was SUCH a shame! Those colours looked absolutely gorgeous and I loved how those blues suited Robert...it's a pity they were so patchy and unblendable!
@@ChibiRebelRayges 😂🙈 omg that bad?! Wow, I feel like this is quite comparable to the the 16 shade NYX ultimate brights palette...such lovely colours, a few were okay but mostly non-pigmented and frustratingly impossible to blend properly.

I'm even wearing the shadow in my profile pic😂. I was very pleased. It's my first impression of the brand and I thought they were fantastic, I've never used the little palettes... If they're all like Robert's I'll steer away though 😬😂
I love the 12 shade mattes palette because it’s the perfect nude palette for me (I don’t really do skilled looks though, just simple looks to compliment my eyes)

That eyeshadow reminds me of the 60's and 70's when women just wore a blue wash of color on their lid with thick black liner. Also, the Maybelline Fit Me foundation does look better without powder but it oxidizes quite a bit.
I uses the fit me foundation set it with pressed power then put another layer on. But I use a really hydrating primer under because I have dry skin. I focus the primer on my nose then my skin looks AMAZING!💗
I had that Spectrum pallette and because it sucks, I gave it to my friend for her 6 y/o daughter to play with. She was super excited to receive it, it is very pretty. She played with it once, brought it back to her Mom and said, "Here Momma, you can have this. It doesn't work." 😂😂😂
OOOO please please do a video where you review QVC beauty brands like mally because i absolutely love mally i mean the brushes are amazing 😄 Full face of QVC brands.
I have two profusion pallets and it’s so weird to me the drastic difference in quality. The spectrum pallet is awful.. but the sun kissed pallet is one of my most used and is much better with blending and building up color.
The Fit Me matte foundation was the first foundation i bought myself when i started experimenting with makeup. I used it until it ran out and absolutely no complaints! It stays on really well for me being in a warm climate
Yes! I agree.. Profusion is pretty good! I have their carnival palette (I think that's the name) and it performs very well.. one of my go to, and I've hit pan in a few colors (which is a feat lol)
I'm really surprised - I love that foundation, and I actually have a combo to dry skin that cakes up somewhat easily. But I do mix in a green concealer that's quite emollient and occasionally a drop of oil, and I use a very wet beauty blender to put it on, so that might be the difference
I have so much texture right above where my beadd starts... I don't know why but only the Maybelline foundation smooths it over, the Urban Decay stay naked makes it look awful.
@@peachmylk @aunpaidintern in case you haven’t tried it, the Revlon Candid foundation on top of a basic moisturiser is one of my absolute faves as well, and it looks fkin beautiful on the skin (no need to set). Bonus: when I apply the revlon prime plus pink primer and then while it’s still not completely dry, I go with a putty kinda primer on top, it just makes my skin look like it’s not a dry textured mess (I use the loreal magic perfecting base one but I think it’s been discontinued so any kind of putty/pore filling primer shall work)
What I learned that application is so very important. But that eyeshadow can’t be helped even with correct application. An educated makeup artist actually applying makeup the correct way is wonderful. Thank you sweetie 🙏🤗🇦🇺
From working in retail cosmetics I am 90% sure the people that were blasting some of these products actually have no knowledge on application technique, then blame the product! 😂 Aside from the Palette! That was rough to watch😭
I like a lot of Profusion products, so I pulled it out to play with it just to see how bad it was. I can see why people don't like it or think it's very good, even if I don't mind it. It requires a lot more effort and a different technique than some of their other palettes. I've had the same experience with various inexpensive brands and I've learned it's a matter of just spending a lot more time on an eye look with a delicate hand for blending. Otherwise the colors either muddy up or become patchy. That said, the shade Nautical is still extremely difficult to work with. It's a blue/purple shade and most of the time these shades are always trouble in cheaper palettes, if they even work at all.
As he’s using the eyeshadow palette and slowly coming to terms with how terrible it is 😂💙 Oh no it’s awful...oh it’s actually terrible....oh it’s horrible. Classic Robert, literally the reason I love him!
It's crazy because I have two Profusion palettes and I literally ORDERED the palette he used a few hours ago and then changed my mind and cancelled it a few minutes later. It's wild seeing this video now 😂 I love their neutral & deep/bold palettes but I haven't ever tried the bright colors. Disappointing but I would be a lot more upset if I hadn't cancelled it 😅 it's only $5 but still.

Methinks this man has quite a collection of mirrors. Always paying attention to lil details, I've seen more than a few of his mirrors. He had the Shane piggy, Jeffrey Star one, oh there was a very detailed baroque heavy silver, vintage one, and I'm thinking this one is an antique....
So anyway, that eyeshadow! 😳😲

As an oily person, the Fit Me foundation is a go to.

Great idea! I’m trying to boost this with a reply!!!

Confused why it is in this list. It is not that bad even with my dry skin. Might be the top list drugstore foundation
Same! I'm combo to dry so I occasionally drop in some face oil, but I love it. Looks natural, stays well, and somehow looks better the longer you wear it.

🤣🤣 but for real: give the Gerard Cosmetics Clean Canvas or the NARS ... legit game changers for me!
Lmaooo I bought my first ever eye primer last week! (Still use concealer sometimes out of laziness hehe)
Lol! 😂🤣 I wouldn't worry though. Eye primers only really took off after 2000. Before that makeup artists were all using concealer and powder. Use what works for you! 😀

I ADORE you, btw.
The more shades you know you are and you put in, the more accurate shades it gives you ☺️
ulta has this
Pur has it! I used it with my bareMinerals foundation and it perfectly matched my concealer.
A couple of years ago I had doubts about my skin tone at Sephora. The lady working there used a machine on my skin and it showed her all the available foundations in my skin tone at that store. It was really cool and the foundation I got was a near perfect match!
I really like that foundation - even when i’m dry - it’s so skin-like and buildable + I don’t have to set it. I’m so surprised people don’t like it! 😦
I love it! I'm dry-combination skin and it doesn't look dry as long as I use a natural finish setting spray. I love the medium coverage bit can build it up over problem spots. My skin is also super sensitive and often things with more coverage than just a very light cover irritate it but no reaction from this!
I agree! Love that foundation
I like the dewy one but this one creases for me and looks cakey
My fave too! I sometimes mix a few drops of serum and it is 👌
Robert, you being uncomfortable with being too organized is such a mood 😂
Sending lots of love 🖤
Correct me if I’m wrong, but maybe the fitme foundation people didnt like was the pressed powder version. I used to use that as a teenager and realized I hate it when i switched to something else. It’s really dusty and cakey
There are several Fit Me variations and the Matte & Poreless is the best... in the glass bottle! It's not the same as the tube stuff he has.
FitMe matte & poreless (in glass) absolutely hates my skin. Mature, oily, but surface dry & damage prone. So cakey no matter how/what I prep....
When you look straight at the camera, your eyes twinkles. It's beautiful.
I’m shocked because the fit me foundation is perfect on me :o
Robert's laugh is both evil and wholesome
The way Robert holds his brushes brings me joy. Just something so soothing about it!
Seeing the fitme foundation in the thumbnail really drew me in because I’ve used it for years and thought it was quite nice, even had compliments on it so that was a surprise! Tbh I don’t have oily skin though and I didn’t even know it was for that so shows how much I read packaging 😂

Really choose the worst of profusion for sure. Their 36 pan pallets are so gorgeous but it's so funny watching you try to work with unruly shadows 😂
I thought the same. I have a couple profusion palettes and love them but this looks garbage 🗑
He choose it bcz ppl hate it
😁😁😁
But I agree with u
@@katherinedavidson2029 I have the lovestruck, starlet, and mirage pallets. The pigments are really really pretty in them and most have a really nice formula. There are a few misses and the glitters are good without glue but I'm not a fan of them near my eye. The here lies jester pallette has most of these colors that spectrum does but they are chalky/patchy. I got them on sale and paid 715 for each pallette and are so much nicer than other affordable brands. Their 9 pan highlighter is huge and the formula for those are so gorgeous as well.
@@witacitrusfriend892 of course! It was well chosen in that aspect. I have 9/10 of these books in a Halloween here lies jester pallette. Just curious.... how old are you?
I LOVE how thoroughly you explained why you use certain techniques for different formulations, you clearly understand the product goals. I loved how you used everything in a tailored way to give it the best chance of not failing you!
This video felt very fair.

I always recommend wet and wild for people in a pinch, my mom wears it
I can actually stand the smell because I really like the finish
I love the dewy one, it looks flawless every time, healthy but not overly shiny. And it doesn’t smell like the regular photo focus one. The dewy one does have a bit of a scent but I like it and I’m pretty sensitive to fragrance
I bought it cuz of the reviews too and god yeah it smells so strongly of paint I just didn't use it. Idc if it's a good product why does it smell like house paint. The shade range is atrocious as well.
i'm pretty sure fenty was a lot of people's first experience with cream blush and they didn't know quite what to do with it
Best product I ever tried and bought: Laura Mercier foundation and their tinted moisturizer ( it goes on smooth and looks dewy)
Worst: Clinque foundation-- they wouldn't know warm olive skin if i hit them in the face
Clinique foundation ALWAYS looks orange AF on me, even when i get color matched in store! I hate that 💩
Agreed, I loved using LM's tinted moisturizer for my everyday looks back when I was slightly paler; I want to say it's been the only foundation I've actually fully used up so far.
I’ve heard such good stuff about their tinted moisturizer. I’m a tan olive so I will look into it!
@@lisatolliver2866 This! I don't know how, but even Clinique's lightest, coolest shade looks orange af on me from the get go.

I absolutely love the rubies pallet!! ❤️❤️
I have quite a few Profusion palettes. The Mirage palette was good, it is a hit or miss with some of the shadows but overall I really like the brand
The Fit Me matte foundation was the first foundation i bought myself when i started experimenting with makeup. I used it until it ran out and absolutely no complaints! It stays on really well for me being in a warm climate
“Who out of you, not you but you that work here” 🤣 also, I haven’t tried that specific profusion product but some of the other pallets are wonderful!!
Yes!
But I do mix in a green concealer that's quite emollient and occasionally a drop of oil, and I use a very wet beauty blender to put it on, so that might be the difference
what green concealer do you use?
i love the Maybelline foundation and i am a dry-textured-skin girl!
I have so much texture right above where my beadd starts... I don't know why but only the Maybelline foundation smooths it over, the Urban Decay stay naked makes it look awful.

Same and same!
@@peachmylk @aunpaidintern in case you haven’t tried it, the Revlon Candid foundation on top of a basic moisturiser is one of my absolute faves as well, and it looks fkin beautiful on the skin (no need to set). Bonus: when I apply the revlon prime plus pink primer and then while it’s still not completely dry, I go with a putty kinda primer on top, it just makes my skin look like it’s not a dry textured mess (I use the loreal magic perfecting base one but I think it’s been discontinued so any kind of putty/pore filling primer shall work)
Dry and textured girl over here! I'm def trying your suggestion!!
I'm watching the eyeshadow slowly change color and coverage throughout the video and am absolutely dying.
i'm surprised that profusion palette was so bad, I've tried a few of their other products and thought they were great
I like a lot of Profusion products, so I pulled it out to play with it just to see how bad it was.
Keep us updated on James COVID test. Love you. Stay safe. ❤️
