- HOW TO get more HORSEPOWER in your car || Bluefin install on my Focus ST.
today guys and girls, we are going to give my Focus ST a Stage 1 remap using the Bluefin by Superchips, with the 3" exhaust system and new intercooler, it should give the car 60BHP more than it already has, the question is, how easy is it? spoiler alert... VERY EASY :)
As way of a disclaimer, i'm not a mechanic or in the motor trade, i do these videos for entertainment purposes and to hopefully inspire you guys to try things yourself. That being said, if you are not confident in trying this type of work yourself, please seek professional help, don't rely on a youtube video alone.
I added bluefin to my 2010 focus XR5turbo ( Australian) back in 2011...I think all up it took about 40 mins. It really brought the car alive. I had heard that Superchips had gone bust and that reviews in recent times had gone from good to bad. Shame
Yeah i believe they did go bust, it is a shame as they were a good company 👍🏻
mate i got exacly the same car ford focus xr5 2010 but i cant find this bluefin anywhere that i can buy in australia can you help and point me in the right direction to get one for my car thanks.
They are nkt bust i have just bought 1
Their website is alive...@@DaveRebuilds
Does this map all modes?
Can you put the map on Sports Mode Selection and leave Standard at factory.
This way you can choose the remap when you want it?
Or does it remap standard and then sports mode is even faster?
So this was for the ST not the RS, so didn’t have different modes. Tbh, I’m not even sure if bluefin still exist, I think they went bankrupt during the pandemic, could be wrong tho?!
mate i got ford focus xr5 2010 could you please send me the link for this blue fin chip i cant find it anywhere.
Sorry dude, bluefin went bust during the pandemic and ceased trading as far as I’m aware. Possibly try dreamscience, I have used their maps on my mk3 RS and they were pretty good and easy to use 👍🏻
@@DaveRebuilds ah ok mate do you have a link for dream sience chip for my car and would it work good on my ford focus xr5 australian car thanks again.
@@emptyzone8542 hi mate, it’s www.dreamscience-automotive.co.uk, they have a selection box on the site that allows you to select the make and model that you have/they support 👍🏻, hope that helps 😃
@@DaveRebuilds thank you very much mate I appriciate the help.
@@emptyzone8542 no worries at all :)
Ok, it starts... But then? Where's the sequel? 🥳
Lol good point, I never did get around to doing a road test on camera😂
Did you notice the difference once remapped?
Yeah, it was noticeably faster, it wheel spins in 4th lol
Dasi's Garage do you find you’re burning a lot more fuel.
F4R Ducky a little bit more but it’s not using loads more. I think if/when it gets a stage 3 map it will burn a ton of it per mile lol. Also depends how heavy my left foot is deciding to be when I’m out in it 😂
F4R Ducky I would add though, I believe bluefin (or superchips) went bust during covid, so I’d check before you order! Another good alternative is dreamscience, I’m bringing out a video this week on the dreamscience map install for my RS if your interested in how easy it is to do
Dasi's Garage look forward to it👌👍
