    I've been sending requests over and over again, but I can't get in touch. When will you resume your work? You can do it even if there is a virus situation as much as replying to customers? If it is a company, please handle it properly. Too bad.

    Is there a remap yet for the 2018 Ford Fiesta 1litre eco 140. I had a reply back from Superchips recently stating it was still being developed due to new eu emission standards. Would the remap become available in the new year perhaps.
    Many thanks.

    So can you add the original map back on anytime.? Whats the benefits of this over a dealer map. The bluefin is £150 more expensive. Can you sell it on? Or use it again for a new car etc etc

    • @superchipsuk
      @superchipsuk  6 лет назад +1

      You can swap between original and remap as many times as you like on the same car :) Bluefin allows this flexibility via the handheld, which some customers value when they change cars often or if the car is very new. If you don't change car often or you don't feel the need to apply and remove the remap, then you can get the same remap from the dealer for less.

    Hi. Just bought one. Can I take the map off and flash my original back on? An flash new map back whenever I want?

    • @superchipsuk
      @superchipsuk  5 лет назад +2

      Yes you can. Bluefin alternates between installing the stock calibration and installing the remap. You can do this as many times as you like on the same car.

    Hi will your maps meet the manufacturer emissions for the new proposed mot requirements?
    Cheers

    • @superchipsuk

      Mapping is designed around MOT requirements and shouldn't be affected. Again, this is a technical query though which isn't best answered via RUclips, if you have specific technical enquiries please drop us an email files@superchips.co.uk

    1, do you get a variety of different maps ie pop and bang map and stage 1 etc maps?
    2, I have a 2007 corsa vxr will this connect straight to my car or do I need to get my ecu programmed to enable the blue fin to communicate with my car?

    Can I purchase a second hand bluefin on my Ford Focus ST225?
    Will it work??

    • @superchipsuk
      @superchipsuk  5 лет назад +1

      This is a complex question as there are 3 different hardware types and about 30 different firmware variants of Bluefin. In general, yes it is possible to purchase a new remap to use on an old handheld, but what will happen and exactly how much it will cost will depend on many factors. If you are considering purchasing a second hand Bluefin, please email sales@superchips.co.uk for further advise, it's more complex than we can adequately cover in a RUclips comment :)

    What's the difference between Bluefin (not available for my Peugeot 308 2014+) and the Superchip (available for my Peugeot 308 2014+)?

    • @superchipsuk
      @superchipsuk  6 лет назад

      Bluefin is a programming tool that allows our customers to apply our remap to a car themselves. The actual remap specification does not differ between Bluefin and the fitting centre - both come from our HQ and both are based on development work completed here - it's just the method of application that differs. For technical reasons, not every vehicle is compatible with the way Bluefin functions, therefore some cars (like your Peugeot) can have a remap applied at a fitting centre using a laptop, but cannot be programmed with Bluefin. I hope this explains it for you :)

    • @dlonrazurc
      @dlonrazurc 6 лет назад +1

      Very clearly explained, appreciate it. Sadly, there's no fitting center here in the Philippines to do that. But I have another car where Bluefin will work. Cheers!

    How many cars can i remap with one purchase

    • @superchipsuk
      @superchipsuk  6 лет назад +6

      The easiest way to think about it is one purchase = one car. The Bluefin handheld is a programming tool which works on one car at once. The maps are essentially vehicle specific, therefore the Bluefin "pairs" with a car, and you'd have to purchase a new remap file if you wanted to use Bluefin on a second (or subsequent) vehicle. This action unpairs it from the first car, and pairs with the second.

    • @dramen

      Is there a chance it'll simply never happen, and you'll have to create something new for 16 cars onwards? I mean, I know Vag is making it pretty hard for you guys to develop the bluefin for it (I mean, I think it's been over 5 months now has it?!) I am starting to wonder whether just a flat out new product from scratch would of been a better investment of time, after all, you remain the only company that makes a bluefin like product otherwise i'd of gone revo months ago but need the bluefin tech to go back and forth.

    Can I use my Apple Mac to get the software

    • @superchipsuk
      @superchipsuk  5 лет назад

      Hi Tom, the software only works on Windows PC. No important data is stored on the PC you use, and you can connect from any PC in the world at any time as long as it has an internet connection, so even if you mainly use Apple it's usually possible to get hold of a PC for the required time to use the Bluefin :)

    can I use an android tablet instead the pc? does the program run?

    • @superchipsuk
      @superchipsuk  5 лет назад

      You'll need a Windows PC with an internet connection to get the software working. Nothing Bluefin related is stored on the PC so you can borrow one if you don't have access to one yourself :)

    Awesome video Superchips. I'm very tempted to do this for my mk4 Mondeo 2.2 tdci. Are they proven reliable? I know this must vary on car but what sort of warranty do you provide, if any?
    Many thanks and keep up the good work.

    • @superchipsuk
      @superchipsuk  6 лет назад

      Our Warranty runs in line with the manufacturer's statutory warranty. We don't offer any cover on a car which wouldn't be covered by the manufacturer, simply because we'd end up fixing things that weren't related to the remap. You can find detailed descriptions about what is and what is not covered by the warranty on our website here www.superchips.co.uk/s/warranty

      Superchips Ltd got ya, thanks for the reply

    • @superchipsuk
      @superchipsuk  6 лет назад +1

      No problem :) In terms of are they proven reliable... well, we've been in business for over 35 years, and you don't last so long by creating products that break cars :) Just because there's no warranty for legal reasons doesn't mean we're not concerned, and everything is designed to be within tolerances of what the engine can cope with. As long as your car is well cared for and in good mechanical condition, you shouldn't experience any issues.

    • @XXB4XX
      @XXB4XX 3 года назад +1

      I'm not superchips, but can confirm that some manufacturers have a count on the ECU thay shows it's been flashed or how many times it has been flashed.
      I personally wouldn't be doing this under warranty, but most manufacturers would never go into that level of detail if you had a problem, especially if it's something non ECU related

    • @mikerelvas
      @mikerelvas 3 года назад +1

      @@XXB4XX I know that VAG have a so called TD1 code that allows the manufacturer to know if the vehicle has been remapped and later discovered Ford does the same by seeing if the ignition counter has been reset, which happens when you flash the ECU.
      I’ll think about remapping after warranty.

      Totally correct! There are some early Ford and Mini vehicles which have a pre-programmed Bluefin, which will offer you the option to install straight away. These are relatively rare though, the vast majority works like above.

    I made a request over and over again that I would like to reset and use the blue fin that I have handed over to me, but there is no contact. Even if you are absent because of the virus, you'll probably be absent for months. It seems that you can reply by e-mail and provide services without contact with people. I think it's best not to value the customer as a company's position 👎
