I tryed bleeding the cartridge on my 2005 crf forks and after I put the fork cap on and try to compress the damper rod the oil comes out of the holes. what is the problem?
Hi hello we have the same forks...i dont know how much i fill the oil,,what is the standard fo filling the oil of my suspension? And is it ok the center thing i dont know what to called it😅 not to remove because i only want to change oil seal and dust seal
@@Fixyourdirtbike I ended up making a tool. Cut a piece of plate steel to fit the fork and tig’d a socket into it. But that’s good information to know if I want to easily adjust the fork oil level. Thanks for the reply.
@@Fixyourdirtbike so my shocks say race tech so its probably after market setup that's my guess cuz I dont think it comes stock like mine just got this bike 2 days ago

Do you have a website where I can find and buy the tool for the damper? I can’t seem to take it off with anything I have.
I think its a race tech goldvseries valve will that be same or different seals?
They are probably different, but you can get replacements directly from Racetech.
Can i add oil to the up chamber without unscrewing?
No, you need to unscrew the cap from the compression damper.
Are those KYB or Showa twin chambers?
These are KYB 48mm forks.
So I rebuilt the set of forks and now they over extend it looks like. The inner tube slides way farther out than it should what did I do wrong
How much farther do they extend than they used to? It if both forks or just one? Can you send me some pictures on FB?
@@Fixyourdirtbike yes what’s your Facebook? It’s about 3/4 inches and I can shove them back up but they fall right back down

If I don’t have the tool for the damper can I add oil through the bleeder hole on top?
Yes

My crf450 has different top on shocks it has like a little blue button?
It's probably a bleeder valve.
