I would love a remaster of this game where they took the chance to finer tune the platforming/physics and costume system, because honestly the vibes of this game still go so hard.
I was born in 01, and I got this game when I was like 5 or 6. This is the game that made me fear any type of spooky horror game. A few years later, I was like 13 or 14, and my friend convinced me to play a game called Siren. That absolutely solidified my fear of horror games because even he was scared playing it. That being said, I'm now 23, and honestly, I could play through it now, but it'll always be a little scary for me since it's basically like childhood drama at this point.
Mystery Mayhem is my favorite Scooby Doo game. To me it felt more like Scooby Doo than the plat formers. More horror and love it being similar to Luigi's Mansion. Have that horror Halloween vibe while also being goofy.
when i was a kid, i never liked this game as much as 100 Frights but it was still one of my favorites from my mountain of licensed games. i found a ps2 copy recently and started replaying it, so this video couldnt have come at a better time. another great video man, hope this gets the attention your 100 Frights one did 🙏🙏
This game and Mystery Mayhem always used to disturb me a lot, the menu music particularly. Where 100 Frights had a jaunty and cheerful soundtrack for the intro screen, the other two felt less whimsical and more actually terrifying lmao
One of my biggest regrets is not being able to beat this when I was younger before my disk just died. Thanks for reintroducing me to this genetically-titled nostalgia bait
I love playing this game! So many times I replace the game over and over So many great levels and my favorite level was when player became ninja or kung fu Master and have to battle other ninja. Man, the nostalgia feeling of the game. I still have a copy of my PS2 version of this game
One of my favorite things about this game is the incredible soundtrack! The sewer theme, in particular, is my favorite. Me and especially my brother would play this game so many times.
Tak and the Power of Juju is another THQ game i have nostalgia for and im sure plenty of other people would like to see that but i think other platformers from that era may be more popular to talk about. not a licensed game but one of my favorite 3d platformers on the same console is Jak and Daxter. video essays about games like this are always good and i like the way you talk about them.
still floatin on nostalgia. honestly theres not much in life that can give you the warm feeling these classic game we grew up with do. glad to see ur still posting 🖖
@@ethanator611 tome as in book and in the UK copy I got as a kid it is a game called Scooby Doo and then Tome of Doom whereas RUclips so I'm guessing the American version calls it Mystery mayhem
@@Cheesecake_666 I was thinking it was a UK region thing but Google led to inconclusive results, it's 100% Mystery Mayhem here in North America "and the Tomb of Doom" freakin' rocks so hard as a title and is way too good for the game its attached to
What an interesting breakdown, really enjoyed watching this! Unmasked holds a special place in my heart as the first ever PS2 game I ever played. I wish the game was more expanded though, I remember leaving underwhelmed after having just 3-4 levels before each boss. Maybe one more world? The first level repeat was a dud for sure.... P.S. Blow their minds with the world 3 skip next time 🤯 Keep it up!
I agree that another world could've changed the game up a bit. I personally do like the MFM repeat but they fs could've done it better. As for World 3 skip is an ability only those with immense power should know, it's too dangerous to show to just anyone 😎
Never played this one, but yeah, don't subject yourself to Mystery Mayhem. Getting that one after playing Night of 100 Frights as a kid was such a letdown.
My brother settled he didn't like this game too much because he finished at 99% And item he missed was in one of the homeworlds (you can't go back to them)
The 10,000 Volt Ghost and Medieval and Nautical Exhibits prove that the Robin Hood costume is the best one in the game seeing how they’re the only levels and enemies that are creatively designed around it. I mean the circus level always felt annoying and stupid to me, but the Medieval Exhibit in particular made clever use of the costume via the knight statues, although I wish they went further with it. The same goes for the octopus and the rest of the targets in the Nautical Exhibit. Although the costume upgrade tokens are nothing but pointless, but great👍 job on the review.
I played this game a lot when i was a kid, though I only got it because my dumb self thought it was 100 frights. I tried to play it again a while ago and mubber was so annoying i stopped before i even reached the amusement park
Wow... I forgot about this game. I got this game from a movie gallery back in the day and made it all the way to the final boss fight and never beat it. Before I knew it, it was time to return the game. I'm not even going to finish this video because I have some unfinished business to take care of

The Guitar Ghoul is my favorite boss in the game. It pretty satisfying to hit the boss with the spiders while dodging the lightning bolt.
May the algorithm bless this one like the Night of 100 Frights video. You knocked it outta the park here.
This is the BEST Scooby-Doo game. I've been screeching it for years. It's a great platformer.

Through Emulation I played both 100 frights and unmasked and I enjoyed Unmasked more.

6:46 good job for making me jump a mile high while wearing earphones
The Bowser noise from 64 for the Scooby slide was genius, hilarious AF, AND EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING ABOUT 😂🤯😂👏👏👏
I loved everything about this video mate!! I played and loved this game as a child as well and it still looks appealing to play
Thanks for talking about this videogame. Scooby-Doo is one of my favourite franchise. Saludos desde España
You have to do a review on mystery mayhem.
I don't think I ever finished this game but the nostalgia from the beginning levels is real
I played this game multiple times as a kid. Loved it. Wished there were more levels.
Please please please keep making more content. You’re extremely talented
YES FINALLY
ONE OF THE MOST UNDERRATED GAMES EVER YES YES YES
This game and Mystery Mayhem always used to disturb me a lot, the menu music particularly. Where 100 Frights had a jaunty and cheerful soundtrack for the intro screen, the other two felt less whimsical and more actually terrifying lmao
Yeah I didn't mention it but I had similar feelings when I was younger with the menu music!

I wasn’t sure if I played this one till you started talking about that mubber 😂 yeah it all came rushing back
I only played the game boy version as a kid. I had no idea this game had a much cooler version

I’d guess you don’t wanna talk about mystery mayhem because it’s too scary. it’s all good bro i get it

This video is just an absolute masterpiece and I'm so happy I'm here to witness it 😂😂😭😭😍😍🙌🙌👋👋👋👋

unmasked was fun based on what bit i played if it but i always preferred night of 100 frights
Loved this game did. Still do I do.
I mean, I did just subscribe because I thought you were the "Scooby Guy"
Will you cover Scooby Doo and the Tome of Doom? Also named Mystery mayhem sometimes? I think its the best one.
Sometimes?? The name 'and the Tomb of Doom' has never been used to my knowledge

It's funny, I played the ds version recently, until the cartridge broke in my system and almost bricked it
I still love this game its the only Scooby-Doo game I own for two consoles
When i played this when i was little i could never get passed the guitar ghoul boss fight so i just stopped playing lol

Idk if you ever played this game as a kid, but I’d like to see you do a review on Rocket Power: Beach Bandits, I’d be curious on your take on it

another Coley banger
I remember playing this one and getting bored in the first few levels so I never got to experience the cool dragon boss fight :(
Wonder if he’ll review Mystery Mayhem?
NOOOO I'M PLAYING DEAD BY DAYLIGHT WHILE LISTENING TO THIS IN THE BACKGROUND HAHAHA
