"Truff" Black Truffle Hot Sauce Review

- Truly one of the most intense hot sauce experiences one can have without crying. Truff is a potent elixir of black truffles, peppers, garlic and cumin where the headline ingredient is truly the star.
Beautiful packaging and a beautiful color belie an extremely challenging experience that rewards patience with waves of complex aroma long after taking a bite. I have to recommend this as a one-off experience. And, when taken in serious moderation with fine food, I think it would be a great addition to those special-occasion meals.

I got some for Christmas, and it is soooooo good. Wasn't expecting the sweetness, but I think it hits all the boxes for texture, sweetness, and heat.

If I may recommend something to you, if you live near a kroger or ralphs, try private selection mango scotch bonnet hot sauce, for a 3 dollar hot sauce it is one of the best I've ever had

My daughter and her boyfriend love the original. Bought a white truffle bottle as a surprise. It certainly is pricey.
I got some for 13 dollars
I just tried this and I though it was WAY too sweet. The sweetness ruined it for me. I feel like it should have been more tangy, and less sweet. I may use it to cook with, but not sure I like it as a condiment.
They fixed it in the white truffle version, but I agree that there's an odd sweetness to this up front that's kind of out of place. Appreciate you watching!
I was at my in laws house recently and my father in law says hey you cook, tell me what you think. I kinda think its a stronger version of franks. You smell that black truffle when you open it. I think it's good, but the price they have has me going man shit.
I'd like to think I'm a part time Chili-head, but one of the best hot sauces I've ever had is not even that hot. It's called Iguana Gold Habanero Island Pepper Sauce!! Try it out!

Sounds like a tricky sauce to pair for sure! I’m not a truffle fan so may stay away from this one 😉 A company I’ve been loving lately is Maritime Madness here in Canada. They have a great range of sauces, a good ghost brittle and a challenge brittle which I’ll be doing this Saturday. Check them out sometime, they have a signature taste across most of their sauces (mainly a great garlic backbone), just stay away from the hot honey. Tastes great, 0 heat.

I just had it on a couple pieces of cold leftover artichoke and spinach pizza lol. Not as bad of a combo as I was afraid of. Now that I'm used to the sauce, I taste more garlic than anything. Sweet, sweet garlic...its really not bad, but it's definitely not perfect either.

Not worth the price at all but good flavor, sweeter than I'd like however. It's worth about $7 / bottle at the most.

The marketing is great, but that's about as far as it goes. It got me to buy it, but it didn't get me to enjoy it.

@@chunntv I currently am a senior cook and do all the ordering. For 2 oz black truffle whole is about $38 from a restaurant supplier. Meanwhile restaurants charge about $7 per gram for white truffle. I'm curious if they just use the oils which is much cheaper. Looking forward to your video!

Did he say black truffles have a fruity aroma??? Lol no they do NOT! They have an earthy aroma...exact opposite of the spectrum. I wonder if he's ever actually tried a black truffle

the taste is so.. funky? you notice the smell first. you hardly taste the spices, kicks in the end, the truffle taste is just, yuck. not bad, wouldn’t use it again.
I remember this one being really funky up front and settling into kind of a super-stinky sweetness. It's been so long I'll have to revisit with their "hotter" version!
