Excellent video, thank you for sharing! I'll be trying this out. Just a very quick one: At 4:21 in the "Audience controls" just above the "Advantage audience+", I noticed you didn't change US (or add the countries you included in the new lookalike audience), was this by design?
I did exactly what you did, but I only get a ton of engagement, but only a very low percentage of followers. How long does it take until this switches? My profile is clean and looks good, also the posts are nice. Or does it make sense to run a prospecting engagement campaign and retarget the engagers with the profil-visit campaign? Please help!
Your profile may look clean and good to you (and I'm sure it does), but that doesn't automatically mean your target audience will feel the same. You need to give them a strong reason to follow you so you'll want to test different incentives and elements.
@imalvaroberrios sure. Do they buy stuff though ? My worry is this... if I use traffic objective early on with a new account and start a lookalike audience from my engages or profile visitors, then my pixel will be diluted with lower quality people compared to using the sales objective on a campaign for example?
@@steveniannelli2756 yes but typically you have to engage them on your end, they're not going to just magically buy from you. The people who experience the most success with this send a DM to their new followers, initiate a casual conversation and then eventually many of them end up buying.
Does Instagram ads trully damage organic reach? I recently started a personal brand, and a was getting 200-1000 organic reach, but recently my latest 6 videos jus stopped and dont get a like even, and I posted some ads before that. Could this be the case that the ads damaged my organic reach? Should I consider starting a new page and avoid ads?
Hi great video, thank you! Just a quick question: what should the conversion rate be from profile views -> followers?

Sorry for the delayed reply. But yes, my only intention was to target this US in this campaign.
Thank you!
You're welcome

Helpful video. Is this basically the same type of follower you will get if hitting boost post on instagram post and optimising for profile visitor's ?
Yes it is, but the benefit of doing it through ads manager is that you'll have way more targeting options available to you.
@imalvaroberrios what is the quality of follower like using the traffic objective ?
@@steveniannelli2756 yes it's on par with that

Can we do detailed targeting to followers of competitors if competitors don’t run ads?
If your competitor is a HUGE figure then yes. If not, no.
If I don’t run lookalikes, should I do one interest per adset or can I add multiple interests?
You can run multiple interests as along as they're similar interests. I.e., you don't want to have McDonald's and Nike in the same ad set

Personally I haven't seen ads ruin organic reach. If anything, they usually help organic reach.
@@imalvaroberrios Same here
Don’t have this option yet, will Meta add it soon?
Yes you should be seeing it soon
@@imalvaroberrios I don't have this option at all 😪
Boosting reels will kill your organic reach.
Agreed. And if you watch the video you'll see I don't talk about boosting.
Also pro accounts
I have better reach and engagement with personal accounts
@@imalvaroberrios So hitting the "boost post" button on a reel on the IG app will negatively impact your organic reach?
