OMG! Finally a shop tour that's not all cleaned up and immaculate. Thank you, thank you, thank you for being human Nick Ferry. Definitely got more than a few ideas for my own shop.
Wow! I too watched it all. And, I did it in 1 sitting. As I have said to my wife, "You've got a lot of "stuff" ( you can re-word that if you wish). You can't throw anything away. That is one of the things that many of us share. Then, "it" has to live somewhere! Horizontal surfaces hold "stuff". Thanks Nick for sharing your work space.
I watched the whole thing. I did pickup some ideas and realized I'm not the only one that has things that never seem to find there home again. Thanks for sharing
Yes, I watched the whole video. It’s great to see an actual working wood shop that’s almost as messy as mine. I especially liked the grinding station cart. It gave me some good ideas for the future.
Thank you Nick, your mess made mine look good enough to skip cleaning it this weekend. Thanks to you my dog and I are going on a fishing roadtrip this weekend. Lookout walleyes here we come!!!!!!!!!!
I somehow found the time to watch the whole video, just happy to see someone else has a cluttered Workshop it seems all I see on RUclips are people with perfectly organized and clean workshops
Like you said at the start, shop tours are very entertaining to see how everyone has their shops set up, they can give inspiration and, knowing how much I enjoy spending time in my shop, I enjoy seeing/hearing how others spend their time in their shops as well. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent was absorbed and have missed my tea break. I'll fret less about the mess in my garage now. The contrast between this workshop and the pristine one in which you made the table sled amazes. Thanks for all your videos.
This is just such an awesome walkthrough of your space. We are so glad we are able to share stuff like this with our customers who are looking to expand their workspaces but also need help organizing them. Thanks for sharing this!
I love the storage on the outfeed table. I've never given those shoe boxes a second glance but I guess now I'll be buying a bunch of them. Thanks for posting, and yes I watched the whole thing.
I sat through it all. Thanks for sharing. It's like going over to a friend's house and talking shop. You're wife must be very patient. She's a good camera operator.
Happy Gillmore, and it's always interesting to see how people lay out their shops. Yours has a lot of thought put into it and there is a great deal of mobility which always helps things. Thanks for the tour, Nick!!
I watched it all! But seeing the length of it I did so in 1.5x video speed. Thanks for sharing your shop! Recently I’ve been keeping a much cleaner shop by watching tool trailer and mobile workshop tours and learning from those because they seem to have the best compact storage ideas and show what’s the important basics. Great video keep it up!
That was probably the most honest shop tour of ever seen yours is a true at home garage shop kind a looks just like mine we do have a dust collection system but yet they're still dust all over the floor we do have scrap bins but yet there's crap still laying on the floor and yes you seem to have to walk around or step over things to get through your shop or you have to move things because you have things leaning up against it same as mine glad to see that I'm notby myself because when you see everybody else's is so clean it's like they never ever use it thanks again have a great day
Thanks for posting this. Yeah, it was a bit long, perhaps, but it was also practical and more transparently realistic than most people's shop tour videos. Your wife did a good job with the camera, too.
This is the most real shop tour on RUclips. I feel like a of other tours are staged in some aspect. I'm glad your making videos and podcasting again. Keep it up.
Watched the whole video and found it easy to do. I think it's your personality that most probably gravitate towards. You have a fun loving spirit, plus not a bad woodworker / maker ! Would really like to see another one of your out takes videos as the one I saw was a blast.
thanks - I'm really just a shop junkie and if people like watching whatever it is I'm doing that's all I can ask for - it sure does make for a nice way to share something that is normally such a solo endeavor
I want a table saw crosscut jig just like yours. I see the details and think that it was so well thought out. Then I see your shop and think OMG.. what a well thought out mess! Then I look into my shop and think it's not yet that well thought out.. and it's just a mess! For every project I plan, I have 3 others that are a work in progress. I feel for you Nick. You are super talented and inspire me with all your posts. Thanks for the honest reveal and your light-hearted, humorous approach to presenting how we all gather "stuff" on all our flat surfaces!
thanks - it may be for better or worse but I hate half-assing anything so when it come to the drawers and projects like the sled I do them how I want them but a lot of times the organization stuff goes undone - ying yang sort of thing I suppose
Whew! Made it, but it took 2 sittings. I think the biggest take away here is the importance of planning to organize any shop to avoid the use of "horizontal surfaces". We are all guilty of just putting things down on a surface to "get to it later". With this video you have inspired me to get to the shop to clean and organize. Thanks Nick !
Watched it all... yes I remember a lot of the videos you referenced even the shop air control panel mark 2 for the theatre cart build... you've made a lot of great videos of great builds. I've enjoyed every minute of every single one, thank you again. Keep going, keep building please... take care, Steve
watch the whole thing and laugh the whole time have the same problem with any flat surface always seems to collect stuff great video nice to see a real working shop for a change thanks for the ride along
I watched it all. I enjoyed the time you took to show us the behind the scenes, so to speak. I love to see what people hide behind their garage doors. lol
Did it. Watched the whole thing. Yep it was long, but you are correct Nick, I love to see other's shops looking for ideas. You inspired me previously and I have piped compressed air through my shop, (including the floor to what will be an assembly table when done). I am still putting it together, but it utilizes a manifold and 4 solenoids with 8 gauges and an exhaust muffler. That all evolved from your compressed air video and the tool cart video. Thanks Nick.
glad to see I'm not the only one that has this kind of lived in shop. i have the same before I start a project I have to clean the areas that I'm going to use.
Nick, I watched the whole video and found it interesting and entertaining. I too have a messy shop. There is a method to the messy shop though. If you can remember where everything is kept and it is close to where you use it, the workflow is that much smoother. Thank you for showing us your shop and some of who you are. Watching your videos has been very encouraging to me and gets me back out into the shop. Keep up the great work. The Lords Blessings to you and your family.
Enjoyed the video. I love that you have a draw full of fireworks! Every shop needs that! Thanks for sharing. I like the idea of the evolution of the shop video.
Yes I watched the whole thing! I'm always wondering what different Woodworkers I have that I don't. I saw a lot of really good ideas especially the Rubbermaid containers. That build you made with the blue shelving, that would be right down my alley! Many blessings to you and to your wife! I'll be waiting for your next video. Some great ideas were shared here. Thank you very much.
Your shop looks like mine. I have to move stuff to work on most of my tools. But, you have put your shop to good use in spite of the clutter. You inspire me. Thanks for sharing your shop with us.
Sorry for being late to the party, I watched the whole video as well. I really enjoyed the honest “working shop” vibe of your video (made me feel like I was in my garage/shop). Nothing worse than watching a clean shop video... can get a real feel for work flow and progressions. This video has made a subscriber out of me!! Now to binge watch the rest of your content. Thanks!!
NIck, I watched the whole thing. I personally want to thank you for your honesty and candor. I believe most of us, whether we are full time, part time, or just plain hobbyists have messed up cluttered shops. Every horizontal surface in my shop is piled high. Half the time I can't find what I need without moving stuff from one surface to another.
Now I don’t feel too bad about my workshop. What you do reflects your passion for the project. I cannot see my workshop being clinically clean ever, because as you I have as my wife says “ too much stuff” I am in Uk and in the process of building a large garage, all my sheds and lean to structures are now full. Hoping when finished it will be better but somehow you give me hope it will be the same HAHa Always love your videos Nick, your down to earth and easy to listen too, keep up the good work Oh and I never saw a broom anywhere!!!
Well I enjoy your videos I am new to woodworking. My shop is also a two car garage and at first it was a complete mess but I have learned a simple trick that works for me. Clean up and put away everything from the last project before starting another. I also labeled all the drawers and cabinets so I don't forget where something is and my wife will even help put things away when she knows where it goes. (wishful Thinking)
I also watched the whole thing!! As someone who is painfully organized this was like watching footage of a hurricane aftermath!! But like, in a good way!!! I'm a sucker for Shop Tour video's as well!!
Great vid! Made it all the way through (although I dozed off a few times) and got a lot of good ideas for my 12x20 basement shop. Now I have to watch it again and take notes to remember what they were! Thanks for sharing...
That's about what my shop looked like yesterday working on all the wedding stuff for my daughter. Cleaned it up today and yes I watched the whole thing..
Hey Nick! It’s absolutely true when projects get interrupted, as “life” happens, one thing I’d like to share, is I started building a storage shelf for the snow blower and lawnmower the snowblower will have a ramp, and the mower rolls under! And I also put my air compressor into an old drawer and mounted it to a small furniture dolly from harbor freight! Thanks, and yes employ the youngins to get into the work. Sam
I tried multiple ways to get my snow blower to be high up but the ramp ate up any room I'd be saving - at the time I had a push mower but now I have a riding mower - I am not a green thumb and I view lawn work as a thing that takes away from my shop time - I can now mow in 14 minutes flat where before it was closet to 90 minutes - for me that's some valuable weekend time
I didn't see any mess!!!!!! You obviously know where everything is. Interesting to see what the kids say in 10 years time!!. Wife didn't even flinch when you commented on the piece you were making for her. Think she must know it's going to be a while. Like the honesty in your videos Nick, this is how it is. Bit like I do. Make my project then clean. Good video Nick, been a keen follower for some time now. Can't wait for the next video!!!!
Hi Nick, I'm with you through the entire video and honestly I am more inspired to finally make videos myself. I thought all makers were all these super ultra-organized people who have all the perfect tools, tables, benches, and storage. Your honesty and candor is appreciated. Especially I identify most with your "flat surface seeking" tendencies. I cannot have a flat space that does not get covered with something either by me or someone else... Amazing! I can so use the 'garage' idea for my seasonal tools such as snow blower, tiller, lawn mower, lawn tractor, etc. I really enjoy your videos and personality and would like to see more regardless of subject matter. Anyway, thank you for sharing your story. I appreciate it. Take good care. Till next time.
Thanks Peter - might as make a video - the worst that can happen is they take away your birthday - my shop is rarely if ever tidy - I know we can't be the only ones
Watched it all Nick. RAW. Honest Entertaining (in a good way) Personal. I’ve been a subscriber for some time now Nick and this video, unpolished as it was, was so relatable, and such an in-site into you, your working environment, and the telling of how it really is. When you watch so many RUclips clips of slick production that show edited perfect technique, it can be intimidating and just a little dispiriting to a relative newbie like me. My very first project was a knock up base platform for pocket screws that was so simple that you almost looked embarrassed to present it - but I learned from it. Years on, and life gets in the way, and my skills haven’t improved that that much, so I relate to your presentation of “it is what it is”. Cheers, and thanks.
Thanks much - yeah my shop really is just in a state of disarray - something does always seem to come up and you have to roll with it - skill level doesn't matter much as long as you're enjoying it - It doesn't matter what I'm making so long as I'm interested in it and having a good time at it
Nice to see a cluttered shop on RUclips I'm always fighting the clutter in mine (20x20) and there are definately some great ideas from checking out your shop thanks!
I watched the whole thing and my OCD demanded copious amounts of coffee, I detailed in my mind what all that would look like in my 2.5 car garage and then almost passed out - Kidding aside I love the video and your wife is good with the camera!
Watched it all the way through, lot of stuff in the shop but gave me some idea's also. In the process of setting up my woodworking/welding shop and got some good idea's from the video. Keep up the videos like watching them.
I thought I was in my shop! Lol. You actually make money with your shop and I just make things for fun now and then and repair lots of stuff. You da man!!
Whew...I made it to the end. Seriously though I didn't even notice how long it was because I was trying to get some organization tips for my shop. Thank you for sharing and don't worry about the "mess". That's how I roll too!!
I watched the whole video and I liked it a lot. Interesting to get a glimpse of a working and living shop. A lot of shop tours come around like sales pitches or like visits on a theater stage. Greetings from Germany
Wow, I can't believe I actually watched the whole thing. I do have to say it is an interesting shop tour, I may watch it a couple more times so I can count the router bits or paint can......
Nick. I sat through every second and it was worth it. Give yourself more credit, your entertaining. One thing I learned from this video is that in your videos everything seems so much bigger. That paper roll on your out feed table looks like it’s 4’ wide in videos. I truly thought you were in a bigger shop
Haven't made it through the whole video yet, but I wanted to say thanks for sharing. So glad to know I'm not the only one who's shop is a "work in progress." 👍
I'm glad I watch this, I have been trying to figure out how to setup my garage for my shop, your lumber rack is what I think I have been looking for, plus the added tool wall on the is. Thanks for the idea...
Thank you for the tour. It was great to see it in its actuality. I have an unheated shop, been out of it for a few months now, looking forward to getting back in it, your video helped me think out some of my storage issues and prioritized tool layout. Watched the full video**
Thanks for the trip around your shop. I enjoying seeing all the things and just how much room you do have.. I have half that much, and some days can’t find my table saw. I am glad to see that I am not the only one that has Flat Top Syndrome.
Watched the whole video. Great shop! But we all agree that its a bit of an mess! I always tell my wife that mine is organized chaos and I know where 90% of everything is most of the time! lol! I did pick up some good tips and pointers that will come in handy for when I rebuild my shop in the coming year! Thanks for posting!
Wow! My wife says I have a lot of stuff. Watched the entire video just to see everything. BTW, your cross-cut design is awesome. I use it every time I'm working in the shop. Very happy I got the plans for it.
Stayed for the whole video, it was entertaining and reassuring that I'm not the only one who works a little messy. Ans like you said if you can find one helpful thing its worth it. Keep it up with the great videos.
Thanks Adam - I see from time to time people comment on all sorts of videos about one particular thing they maybe didn't like and that automatically makes it bad - people should take what they can that's useful to them and leave the rest - but that's too simple I suppose - thanks again man!
It's as much the personality of the youtuber that makes stuff interesting as it is the content. I've been watching you since the theatre cart and it just boils down to entertainment. Release vids when you can Nick, they'll get watched.
Watched it all and it made me feel better about my shop it’s a disaster to but like you said it’s a lived in work shop. Seen a couple thing that I like and is making me rethink mine thank you for the shop tour
Watched it all. I just moved into a new but temporary shop. I've taken over one bay of a two car garage. By the end of the year I'll be moving into a new shop that we are building. I'm going through and watching your shop projects videos again. Trying to get ideas for organizing. Are you ready to build the organizer cabinet? Thanks for sharing your shop. I love that you didn't clean it up for the video and gave us a real view.
Thanks - Angie - I’m ready to build it but my schedule is too full - that’s the number one project I want to get back to - congrats on building the shop - a lot of fun work ahead of you
Remember to check out the article for all the video and tool links - it helps support me making more videos if you buy through the links - thanks!!! - nickferry.com/2018/04/shop-tour-of-my-2-car-garage-workshop-woodshop-ep87/
Although I've been woodworking for decades, I'm looking to start a workshop in my carport soon.
OMG! Finally a shop tour that's not all cleaned up and immaculate. Thank you, thank you, thank you for being human Nick Ferry. Definitely got more than a few ideas for my own shop.
I do what I can
Compliments to your wife for the camerawork. I watched the whole thing because it made feel better about the mess in my shed/shop.
Thanks - she does a great job
Watched it all at normal speed. I too am impressed w/ wifey's smooth pans and tilts. She has more patience than my wife.
Thanks for sharing...
No problem - I'll let her know
I watched the whole thing! Halfway through I started cleaning up my shop. ;)
Now that's efficiency
You gave a me a idea for full sheet ply storage in my one garage shop. Floor space is always hard to come by
Thanks Nick for sharing your work space.
no problem Tom - sounds like you know the problem all too well
Watched the whole video. I enjoyed your shop. Good job on your wife’s part. That’s a working shop!
Thanks much man!
How’s the weather down there Bob?
Glad to see im not the only one that has pieces and parts all around the shop. And yes I watched the whole video.
Thanks much
I stuck around for the whole thing. You're right no matter how many shop tours I watch I always pick up some tips and tricks.
that's the beauty of them - thanks for sticking it out!
I watched the whole thing. I did pickup some ideas and realized I'm not the only one that has things that never seem to find there home again. Thanks for sharing
no problem Jim - there are people like us out there
Yes, I watched the whole video. It’s great to see an actual working wood shop that’s almost as messy as mine. I especially liked the grinding station cart. It gave me some good ideas for the future.
Thanks - it works pretty slick - makes it so much easier to use them
Enjoyed the entire video. The hunk of Osage Orange made me drool. Nice tour. Thank you for your time and your wife for her videography skills!
Thanks - from Ted C Alexander on youtube too - I he gave me a decent sized slab too - he's a really good friend
Thank you Nick, your mess made mine look good enough to skip cleaning it this weekend. Thanks to you my dog and I are going on a fishing roadtrip this weekend. Lookout walleyes here we come!!!!!!!!!!
Save some for me!
I somehow found the time to watch the whole video, just happy to see someone else has a cluttered Workshop it seems all I see on RUclips are people with perfectly organized and clean workshops
It is refreshing - as I mentioned I'm a messy creature with a lot of projects going on
Like you said at the start, shop tours are very entertaining to see how everyone has their shops set up, they can give inspiration and, knowing how much I enjoy spending time in my shop, I enjoy seeing/hearing how others spend their time in their shops as well. Thanks for sharing.
thanks Chris - it really is a cool thing to see how different everyone's shop layout is
Excellent was absorbed and have missed my tea break. I'll fret less about the mess in my garage now. The contrast between this workshop and the pristine one in which you made the table sled amazes. Thanks for all your videos.
Well worded - the more I zoom in, the cleaner it gets haha
I watched from start to finish Nick, and I am happy to see that it's not only me that has a messy shop! Thank you!
messy shops unite!
This is just such an awesome walkthrough of your space. We are so glad we are able to share stuff like this with our customers who are looking to expand their workspaces but also need help organizing them. Thanks for sharing this!
thanks
Watched it all, and survived.....did have to pause for an "environmental" break. Always a pleasure spending time on your channel.
Sometimes the environment calls
I love the storage on the outfeed table. I've never given those shoe boxes a second glance but I guess now I'll be buying a bunch of them. Thanks for posting, and yes I watched the whole thing.
thanks - they work out pretty good for a lot of smalls in a shop
I sat through it all. Thanks for sharing. It's like going over to a friend's house and talking shop.
You're wife must be very patient. She's a good camera operator.
Thanks - she really is great - a lot of patience and we enjoy working alongside one another
Watched every bit of it...much appreciation for taking the time!
Same here - thanks for watching!
Happy Gillmore, and it's always interesting to see how people lay out their shops. Yours has a lot of thought put into it and there is a great deal of mobility which always helps things. Thanks for the tour, Nick!!
No Problem - thanks for checking it out!

not only watched every minute, went back and checked out some parts again. good job, my friend.
nice - I appreciate that!

Thanks much - some clean up for tour videos but I sure didn’t make it a mess for the videos
Thanks for posting this. Yeah, it was a bit long, perhaps, but it was also practical and more transparently realistic than most people's shop tour videos. Your wife did a good job with the camera, too.
Thanks - and it’s even messier at the moment
This is the most real shop tour on RUclips. I feel like a of other tours are staged in some aspect. I'm glad your making videos and podcasting again. Keep it up.
thanks much - means a lot to me

We are all guilty of just putting things down on a surface to "get to it later". With this video you have inspired me to get to the shop to clean and organize. Thanks Nick !
glad I could help - something tells me I'd still have horizontal space issues even if I had twice the shop size
Watched it all... yes I remember a lot of the videos you referenced even the shop air control panel mark 2 for the theatre cart build... you've made a lot of great videos of great builds. I've enjoyed every minute of every single one, thank you again. Keep going, keep building please... take care, Steve
the support is greatly appreciated Steve - thanks!!
watch the whole thing and laugh the whole time have the same problem with any flat surface always seems to collect stuff great video nice to see a real working shop for a change thanks for the ride along
I watched it all. I enjoyed the time you took to show us the behind the scenes, so to speak. I love to see what people hide behind their garage doors. lol
Thanks - it is always cool to see folks setups
Did it. Watched the whole thing. Yep it was long, but you are correct Nick, I love to see other's shops looking for ideas. awesome - if you do any social media post a picture of the setup and tag me in it - I would love to see what you came up with!
And I thought my shop was messy. Now I don't feel so bad. Thanks for making my day. LOL
that's what I'm here for!
Best Quote - "...I was between table saws..." I can't stop laughing...that says it all buddy.
Haha - it’s a lifestyle thing I suppose
glad to see I'm not the only one that has this kind of lived in shop. i have the same before I start a project I have to clean the areas that I'm going to use.
messy seems to be my style
Nick, I watched the whole video and found it interesting and entertaining. I too have a messy shop. There is a method to the messy shop though. If you can remember where everything is kept and it is close to where you use it, the workflow is that much smoother. Thank you for showing us your shop and some of who you are. thanks for the kind words - all the best to you as well!
Enjoyed the video. I love that you have a draw full of fireworks! Every shop needs that! Thanks for sharing. I like the idea of the evolution of the shop video.
Thanks - never know when you'll need them
Well done. You and your better3/4 kept my attention for42 minutes. Medals deserved. Love to you both.
Ps. Greetings from Ireland.
Top of the morning to ya - I kept your attention longer than I can keep mine - medals for both of us!
OK Nick, made it to the end. I always pickup something from you, but in every shop tour. Thanks!
thanks much Dan - glad you did the whole deal!
No problem - glad you could pick up some ideas - the best to you as well!
Your shop looks like mine. I have to move stuff to work on most of my tools. But, you have put your shop to good use in spite of the clutter. You inspire me. Thanks for sharing your shop with us.
Haha yep - it ebbs and flows - glad you can relate & I appreciate it - 👊
Sorry for being late to the party, I watched the whole video as well. I really enjoyed the honest “working shop” vibe of your video (made me feel like I was in my garage/shop). Nothing worse than watching a clean shop video... can get a real feel for work flow and progressions. This video has made a subscriber out of me!! Now to binge watch the rest of your content. Cool cool - glad to have you along for the ride - let me know if you have any questions
NIck, I watched the whole thing. I personally want to thank you for your honesty and candor. I believe most of us, whether we are full time, part time, or just plain hobbyists have messed up cluttered shops. Every horizontal surface in my shop is piled high. Half the time I can't find what I need without moving stuff from one surface to another.
no problem Robert - we are all good at making messes it seems
Came back and watching again...there is some gems in here!!
Thanks - glad you think so and can pick up some ideas
Now I don’t feel too bad about my workshop. What you do reflects your passion for the project. I cannot see my workshop being clinically clean ever, because as you I have as my wife says “ too much stuff” I am in Uk and in the process of building a large garage, all my sheds and lean to structures are now full.

Always love your videos Nick, your down to earth and easy to listen too, keep up the good work
Oh and I never saw a broom anywhere!!!
That may be the only thing I can't find, a broom - cool to hear you're getting some more space - I could use a little bit of that too
I love this! I thought I was the only one who had reason to cry when stepping into the disast... uh, shop.
You are not alone!
(wishful Thinking)
thanks - I try to clean at the end of projects too - it's when half a dozen projects overlap when I run into problems
I sat through the whole shop tour. I enjoyed it. I wish you posted more videos more often. I really enjoy your take on projects.
thanks Larry - hoping to have a pretty full year of videos - a lot of cool things coming up on my schedule
I also watched the whole thing!! As someone who is painfully organized this was like watching footage of a hurricane aftermath!! But like, in a good way!!! I'm a sucker for Shop Tour video's as well!!
thanks for checking it out man!
I love the way you are so honest and real about things Nick
much appreciated buddy - seems as though you are the same way on social media - sometimes people just gotta be themselves
Great vid! Made it all the way through (although I dozed off a few times) and got a lot of good ideas for my 12x20 basement shop. Now I have to watch it again and take notes to remember what they were! Thanks for sharing...
haha - second viewing probably won't be better than the first
That's about what my shop looked like yesterday working on all the wedding stuff for my daughter. Cleaned it up today and yes I watched the whole thing..
Thanks Gary - always tons to make with weddings!
You are fun to watch! Down to earth and not showy. I like that.
Thanks - glad you think so - I'd like to think I am but never know how I come off
I watched the whole thing... I’m just starting to set up my 2 car garage as a shop, and got some great ideas from you. Keep the videos coming Nick!
thanks Jeff - glad to hear you could pick up some ideas
Good to see an actual working shop. Not some show piece. Yeah you like to talk, but you are so easy to listen to. Great tour.
I appreciate that - wish my wife thought the same way around the thirty minute mark lol
Watched it all with interest. Glad someone else is untidy!!
Thanks - we are not alone - #messyshopsunite
Sam
I tried multiple ways to get my snow blower to be high up but the ramp ate up any room I'd be saving - at the time I had a push mower but now I have a riding mower - I am not a green thumb and I view lawn work as a thing that takes away from my shop time - I can now mow in 14 minutes flat where before it was closet to 90 minutes - for me that's some valuable weekend time
I thought I needed to clean my shop today until I watched your shop video. Nick, I love your authenticity. New regular vewier.
Thanks Donald - glad to have you here - it is what it is...a mess
I didn't see any mess!!!!!! You obviously know where everything is. Interesting to see what the kids say in 10 years time!!. Wife didn't even flinch when you commented on the piece you were making for her. Think she must know it's going to be a while. Like the honesty in your videos Nick, this is how it is. Bit like I do. Make my project then clean. Good video Nick, been a keen follower for some time now. Can't wait for the next video!!!!
Much appreciated man - nicely worded - it's not a mess if I know where it is!!
I made it all the way to the end and I have to say I'm glad you finally made a shop tour video.
Thanks - I don't know what held me back before
I watched bits-and-pieces and got through the whole thing. Thanks for your time to do this..
Always appreciated Tom!!
This made me happy because my shop is usually a mess too but it's my mess and I get it.
you sir are a realist - as am I!
Watched it all Nick.
RAW.
Honest
Entertaining (in a good way)
Personal.
Thanks much - yeah my shop really is just in a state of disarray - something does always seem to come up and you have to roll with it - skill level doesn't matter much as long as you're enjoying it - It doesn't matter what I'm making so long as I'm interested in it and having a good time at it
Nice little shop... a ton of stuff to fit in a 2.5 car garage. Watched the whole thing and got some good ideas for my own shop. thx!
thanks - yeah it is packed pretty good - glad you could pick up a couple ideas!
Nice to see a cluttered shop on RUclips I'm always fighting the clutter in mine (20x20) and there are definately some great ideas from checking out your shop thanks!
Thanks Dave - it is what it is and I wouldn’t dream of changing it
I watched the whole thing and my OCD demanded copious amounts of coffee, I detailed in my mind what all that would look like in my 2.5 car garage and then almost passed out - Kidding aside I love the video and your wife is good with the camera!
Haha thanks - and I’ll let her know her skills are appreciated - I have to suck up to her so she’ll do it again when I need her to
Watched it all the way through, lot of stuff in the shop but gave me some idea's also. In the process of setting up my woodworking/welding shop and got some good idea's from the video. Keep up the videos like watching them.
Glad to hear you could pick up some ideas - now that you mention welding I completely forgot to show my trailer where my welder is
I watched it all...glad to know that I'm not the only one with a messy shop
You are not alone
Thank you for showing the entire shop! i really enjoyed hearing your reasoning for all of the different features in your shop. :)
no problem - I'm glad you liked it!
I was going to clean my shop after I watched this... now I don't have time 😆
I should have put a disclaimer in the beginning, hahaha
I thought I was in my shop! Lol. You actually make money with your shop and I just make things for fun now and then and repair lots of stuff.
You da man!!
whatever makes the world go round!
Whew...I made it to the end. Seriously though I didn't even notice how long it was because I was trying to get some organization tips for my shop. Thank you for sharing and don't worry about the "mess". That's how I roll too!!
Good to know - messy shops unite!
I watched the whole video and I liked it a lot. Interesting to get a glimpse of a working and living shop. A lot of shop tours come around like sales pitches or like visits on a theater stage. Greetings from Germany
thanks - glad you liked it unpolished
Wow, I can't believe I actually watched the whole thing. I do have to say it is an interesting shop tour, I may watch it a couple more times so I can count the router bits or paint can......
thanks - never can have enough bits
Nick. I sat through every second and it was worth it. Give yourself more credit, your entertaining.
One thing I learned from this video is that in your videos everything seems so much bigger. That paper roll on your out feed table looks like it’s 4’ wide in videos. I truly thought you were in a bigger shop
thanks for the kind words - wish the shop was a whole lot bigger but I'm happy with what I have - always weird seeing it in video
took a few starts and stops but I made it...It is always fun seeing other shops, and I can appreciate a lived in shop for sure!
I watched from start to finish Nick! Your wife is great with the phone video gig, so smooth!!
Thanks Dave - she a good sport to say the least
Haven't made it through the whole video yet, but I wanted to say thanks for sharing. So glad to know I'm not the only one who's shop is a "work in progress." 👍
No problem - wish I had done one sooner
I'm glad I watch this, I have been trying to figure out how to setup my garage for my shop, your lumber rack is what I think I have been looking for, plus the added tool wall on the is. Thanks for the idea...
no problem - the added "wall" space it makes was probably the best part
Thank you for the tour. It was great to see it in its actuality. I have an unheated shop, been out of it for a few months now, looking forward to getting back in it, your video helped me think out some of my storage issues and prioritized tool layout.
Watched the full video**
thanks man - glad you could make it through the whole thing and pick up some ideas
Watched it all. Now I need to do a shop tour so I can see the evolution of my space. Also I like the grinder table and dust collection system.
Thanks - do it - I'm hoping it'll be a cool sort of time capsule
Thanks for the tour Nick, lot's of good ideas to incorporate into my own shop, I watched the whole thing!
Thanks - glad you could make it through the whole thing
Thanks for the trip around your shop.
I enjoying seeing all the things and just how much room you do have..
I have half that much, and some days can’t find my table saw.
I am glad to see that I am not the only one that has Flat Top Syndrome.
flat top syndrome is a real thing and effects a lot of us - thanks!
Thanks for sticking it through - always a work in progress
Wow! My wife says I have a lot of stuff. Watched the entire video just to see everything. BTW, your cross-cut design is awesome. I use it every time I'm working in the shop. Very happy I got the plans for it.
thanks - I am very proud of that design and plans!
Nice video Nick, I watched it to the end and it made me realize my shop is clean. Love watching your videos keep up the great work.
Thanks - glad I could assure you there is messier out there!
Stayed for the whole video, it was entertaining and reassuring that I'm not the only one who works a little messy. Ans like you said if you can find one helpful thing its worth it. Keep it up with the great videos.
Thanks Adam - I see from time to time people comment on all sorts of videos about one particular thing they maybe didn't like and that automatically makes it bad - people should take what they can that's useful to them and leave the rest - but that's too simple I suppose - thanks again man!
with u i laugh at a messy shop others not so much. the electrician in me makes me think of the 4 letter word== make it NEAT. luv the humor
Haha - thanks!
It's as much the personality of the youtuber that makes stuff interesting as it is the content. I've been watching you since the theatre cart and it just boils down to entertainment. Release vids when you can Nick, they'll get watched.
I really appreciate that - hard to remember all the time but good food for thought - thanks!
Great video. Thanks. Love to see that my shop isn't the only one that looks like that
you are not alone
Watched it all and it made me feel better about my shop it’s a disaster to but like you said it’s a lived in work shop. Seen a couple thing that I like and is making me rethink mine thank you for the shop tour
no problem - it's all a good mess right?
I watched it all. I'm glad I'm not the only one with a messy shop. I might have to make my wife film a shop tour video now lol
thanks - she was a good sport about it
I live in Michigan you gave me an idea for a snow blower garage I love the idea . Thank you Nick ! And Yes I watched your entire tour :).
thanks Keith - in MI you are no stranger to snow either
Oh wow... I made it to the end..... thanks for the tour
thanks Kevin - glad you made it through!
I watched the whole thing, love the messy shop shows that you use it!
Thanks - I agree!
