I have never seen such a clean ,well organized workshop and I mean ANYWHERE . Your enthusiasm is amazing. What does your wife say about your shop? How about a video on building an adjustable archites / engineers drafting table minim size 36"x48" .
I just got mine yesterday and just spent some time squaring it up. The tall fence inserts are worthless. Not square to the bottom ones at all. Kinda bummed about that, but not a huge deal. I'm excited to use it.
As a guy who has a little homemade workshop in the shed (a quarter the size of a garage) and wants to make guitars as a career, I am so jealous and impressed both I and the dictionary lack the words to express.
1,000 likes? You gotta set your goals higher, man. The videos only been up 6 hours and its already over 1600. Keep up the great and entertaining content. I love seeing your work.
Thanks for the shop tour John the thing I like is the cabinet where the drills & batteries are. Great idea and with space to store boxes of screws and stuff. Even though my work shop is way, way smaller I will use that drill storage cabinet, thanks again for the awesome ideas. From all the way down in New Zealand.
I would recommend the Milwaukee 2739-21HD M18 Fuel Mitre Saw. Great dust collection, great capacity, solid build and just a powerful, reliable machine.
Suggestion on the miter saw dust collection: I have a hose attached to the exhaust port on the saw ( the Bosch 12” glide). The majority of the sawdust makes it to that hose, and I stick the other end of the hose up the end of the the 6 inch dust collector duct, and any dust that escapes the small diameter hose gets sucked in by 6” dust of the dust collector (in my case, a ClearVue CV 1800, which is in the same class as yours.) It works very well.
i laughed at your 30 gallon drum comment, my work modified a 5yard dumpster to catch the shavings just outside the shop, and when its full we just call the trash man and he comes and dumps it like a normal dumpster.. is quite convenient. also at that volume is often a use for the shavings in making wood pellets and barn bedding which is incentive for someone else to take your waste for free. love the tour gave me tons to think about lol
Jfc there must be like at least a half mill. In machines and tools, parts, etc. probably more than a mill considering the entire outfitting of the building to run everything. Quite impressive
Quick tip on the edge sander- put your table at an angle so one end is near the top of the belt. That way you dont wear down one thin strip on your belt.
Enjoyed the tour. Love the "Safety third" sign. I work for a large corporation, and we are always being told "Safety First". I tell them if safety was first, we would never get out of bed, and definitely not drive. One question...I don't see the link for Ashley the lathe expert. Thanks!
You just popped my life, if I have the money you show on this video ,I’ll just love your shop layout!!! You have all the dream shop I dreamed for!!!! You are a very good salesman. If I ever hit the Powerball,I’ll be calling you!!! I just love your shop layout.👏👏👏👏👏🍺🍺🍺🍺👍👍👍🍻🍻🍻😇😇😇
You could just make some backings for your door pulls that are 1" thick, cut a pocket into them the same shape as the door pull but 1/2" bigger than the pull opening and flat across the top (Get your buddy with the CNC to make these...). Glue those onto the backside of your door with the flat side of your pocket flush with the outer edge of the door pulls...No dust!! Great shop by the way, you've got some amazing equipment!!!
I use a old Dewalt miter saw. A simple one that only tilts one way. I made a dust hood around it with a 4" inlet at the top of the enclosure. With a clearvue 1800 hooked to it the dust collection is really good. The floaty stuff you don't want to breathe gets sucked up and the big stuff falls by the saw base and gets vacuumed out once in a while. Recommend Camaster cnc btw:)
Miter Saw with good dust collection and small footprint - Makita LS1019L 10". Has 2 dust collection points and in your shop you can run separate hoses to each to get better airflow. Less money than that Bosch as well.
Hi John, you should go and get yourself a nice Dewalt DWS780 to replace your BOSCH miter saw. Here in Belgium they're thé way to go miter saws when working in a professional shop.
Awesome videos and congrats on your RUclips success! Festool Kapex - wouldn't trade mine for any other. Outstanding dust collection and precision cuts.
I have the Bosch 12 inch glide saw too. Dust collection is good with extraction and average with just the bag. My other option was the Festool Kapex but at twice the price the Bosch is fantastic. If you are thinking about the Bosch glide saw be careful because some of them have alignment issues from factory like my first one did and it couldn’t be adjusted out so I had it replaced.
Great video! What's the total sqft of your wood shop? I'm looking to build something similar and I'm trying to get a feel for how much space I will need for just areas to walk and move around.
For the Miter Saw dust collection, Fishers Shop has a neat jig that can be made for it that helps a lot. I think he may have the same exact saw. Check it out!
Look at the Makita LS1219L 12" Compound Sliding Miter Saw. I got the same Bosch as you did a couple years ago and am thinking I should have waited for the new Makita.
So you have sponsorship - that's really awesome! And you have all of those really cool expensive precision tools in your shop. But you didn't build your own woodworking bench? What does that say for your cred my friend?
Does JET make microphones? If so, you need to 'axt' them to hook you up. Audio has a tendency to fade in and out. PS, I just found your channel yesterday, and LOVE the content. You’re my new best friend!
I mean this with all due respect, I don't really care about your opinion as much as I just truly enjoy watching your videos. Remember, I said "with all due respect".
@@John_Malecki your tools are just overkill for my amateur self. And lime green is also my favorite color sooo. Hahahaha. I really do love your videos. I will watch whatever you put out. Don't worry about me, you do you.
Great video and Shop. I saw that you stayed you are not a Marine, nevertheless, Semper Fi from all is Marines for your support. In addition I had the Ridgid 12” compound miter and recently upgraded to the Festool Kapex. Will not go back. I also noticed that you stated your router lift was the MLCS powerlift pro. If so how do you like it compared to a Woodpecker, Jessem, Or other top router lifts?no head to head with the auto lifts and other lifts. That would be a good video!! Thanks again. Keep up the good work
Just watched your interview with black rifle. If you ever want to get out with someone and do some whitetail hunting I have property in South Eastern Indiana and Central Kentucky. Always looking for a new hunting buddy to chase whitetails as well as dove.
DONT FORGET!!!! HUGE BUNDLE DISCOUNT CODE AT THE END OF THE VIDEO johnmalecki.com/product/ultimate-workshop-storage-plan-bundle/!!!!
Hey John I just went to order your shop bundle ended up paying 35 for it because the page link expired i wasnt sure what to do now
The AMERICA discount link doesn't work for the freedom plan bundle. Will you please reactivate it?

I have a sawstop and it’s one of the best investments I’ve ever made! Has saved my finger a couple of times
You should stop woodworking! I dont suggest knifemaking either
Thank you for your enthusiastic warm welcome 🇨🇦👍🐻❄️🐻
I really dig your shop, cool setup
love your humor GREAT SHOP
Wow,a great Comprehensive workshop
You have my dream shop dude 🤩
That’s what I’m saying
También tienes un taller único Jair, felicidades a ti y tu equipo
I come from Iran. You are very good. I enjoy it
My dream😍😍
Amazing Workshop
Basically used every brand of miter saw but festool. Gotta say as far as the "slide" and build quality feel the bosch is probably my favorite saw
Looks like a hobby shop to me.
Love my makita 12” sliding miter saw. Great dust collection.
I have the 10" and I agree. The side rail Makita is awrsome
I just got mine yesterday and just spent some time squaring it up. The tall fence inserts are worthless. Not square to the bottom ones at all. Kinda bummed about that, but not a huge deal. I'm excited to use it.
I had no idea John played for the Steelers!!! Now I love him even more!
Awesome shop John. The only thing I'd don't see is a fire extinguisher. Huge shop with wood and metalworking needs some fire protection...
I’m beginning to look for new work surfaces for metal work....... so yeah go ahead and inspire me with a metal work table build!!
did i see a first cav flag?! that’s awesome! my grandpa flew cobras in vietnam and was ecstatic when i showed him this
It was a gift from one of my amazing fans. Love supporting the troops !
Perfect workshop and tour!!

the new dewalt dual power is the best miter saw ever made

Thank you for not doing what every other shop tour video does. Spend the entire video apologizing for and explaining why you have nice tools.

I just bought your Plan Bundle, great job. Thank You! Very Nicely Done.
Knew this was going to be great when we started with the old Yinzer line. Couldn’t find better dahhhn at giant eagles (or even Hills!)
Gotta love the Yinz !
As soon as I heard Yinz, I had to watch the rest !
you have a beautiful Workshop man! keep up the good content.

I hope your fixed air line has droppers and water traps for the condensate.

Nice shop! Try adding a French cleat to all wall space. (I put one 72" AFF) Everything moves easier when its just hanging off a cleat.
Well, if Jet sponsors you go with the Jet 12 inch compound duel bevel miter saw
Great video! What's the total sqft of your wood shop? I'm looking to build something similar and I'm trying to get a feel for how much space I will need for just areas to walk and move around.
