    Bless the people of Moldova, Poland, Germany for all the kindness and for receiving the Ukrainian people fleeing from war, I now have a different perspective of the people of those countries so much admiration and respect.

    We are the poorest country in Europe and so far we’ve given the most help to our Ukrainian neighbors, by far. I’m proud of us and I hope that people will show the same kindness to both us and Ukrainians abroad. ❤️

      My warmest thanks to Poland and all helping the refugee's, my heart and prayers are with all (as inside Ukraïne). I offerred to accommodate Ukraïnians, but were notified: I can't, our country has too many troubles as it is. So, I pray for all.....(I am from South Africa)

    Those 20 seconds with the mother being strong as she says goodbye to her kids, to cross the bridge back to Ukraine as the sirens blare aloud.. incredibly powerful imagery.
    Power to the people of Moldova. Thank the heavens they like a few other nations are being fast tracked into the EU proper.

      I couldn’t stop crying as she was smiling sending off her kids & going back …such a brave woman 🙏🏻 I’m proud to have Ukranian & Romanian blood ….and I’m eternally grateful to everyone helping Ukraine 🇺🇦 & Ukranians …all I can do is pray …I’m trying to cry less and pray more but it’s hard ….entire dad’s side family lives in Kyiv …they are safe for now but I’m scared

      If you are Russian, you should be aware not only about the fact that Ukraine is under attack, but also the Russia. What i mean by this is that actions towards Ukraine will destroy Russia we all knew. You will struggle economicly even more then you are already doing.
      Putin is literally destroying Russia. You guys wasted 30 years of economic development and the very first thing you are known for - your army - is now being embarassed. Think about this. Second/Third "strongest" army in the world, and you can't conqueoror simple, small Ukraine? Regardless of the outcome of the war, Russia no longer will be seen as a military super power, especially if the period of war extends to like year or so

    Humanity at its best, I myself have two friends one from Ukraine and the other from Russia, they were friends before I became their friend, they both are simply absolutely amazing people. Can't believe its 21st century and still countries are at war. In all of this ordinary people like us are suffering. Bless those who are helping without thinking anything in returnn. 🙏🏼

      Most of the people commenting here only feel compassion for certain people and victims of certain wars they are very selective with their sympathy ,do the commenters feel the same compassion for victims of the West's illegal wars or the suffering of kids in Palestine ? ,it seems they only care when one of our designated enemies is involved and then they come on with the hand wringing and crocodile tears ,it's all so phoney ,this isn't a knock against the people in Ukraine who are suffering but a condemnation of the phonies who only feel sorry for certain victims and couldn't care less about other victims of the Wars we create .

    This is what it looks like when people flee the country due war , their hearts are broken and do not want to leave their beloved country, unlike some people who see it as an opportunity to migrate to another country. My parents are true refugees and hated that they had to flee and when it was time to go back, there was nothing to go back to. So devastating.

      @@jismo7 If you think the correct answer to the strengthening of a defensive pact is the illegal invasion of a sovereign nation state then I don't know why to tell you. 'Defensive' being the operative word in that statement. By invading Ukraine, Putin assures his neighbours that they were right to be so wary of him. Bush is responsible for hundreds of thousands of innocent deaths, and the US is at fault more often than not, but not in this scenario.

NATO expaned eastwards, breaking their agreement ans Ukraine broke Minsk agreement. Basically laughing in Putin's face. It was obvious he was going to react. For all that is said about Trump, at least he kept the peace.

    As a Canadian what a great honour it would be for me to be able to offer warmth, shelter , food or safety to people fleeing this horror. All I can do is send money ( I don’t even know where ) and compel my government to do everything they can to stop this monster.

      Canada will accept Ukrainian refugees. Then if you wish you may join a group of individuals who decides to sponsor a family or individual. When Syrian refugees came to Canada 5(?) years ago, I joined a church group sponsoring a family of 4, in Ottawa. They are now well settled in Canada

      Look around for charities that support refugees in your area, or international ones such as the Red Cross. Local groups are organising deliveries of food, medical and hygeiene supplies, clothes and bedding for refugees, or you could simply donate money. It's a little thing, but lots of little things add up to a big thing.

    I sympathise with these people and my heart goes to all Ukrainians. However, I really wish the world would extend the same attitude for black and brown people in war torn countries or people in famine. Caring for people shouldn't depend on the color of their skin.

      I strongly disagree. Millions are raised for black and brown people each year- Red Nose Day etc, I see more people from African nations than anywhere else. Stories about travelling for water and black and brown women struggling for schooling At the moment there is more focus and sympathy than ever on black stories.
