My Grandfather used to claim that cows could "smell" electricity. If the fence was on, they wouldn't touch it, and if it was off, they would walk right through it.
We had one cow that could sense or smell the electric fence. When it was off she walked right through it without a care which caused the rest of the herd to follow her onto the neighbor's property. As long as it was on she never bothered to test it. Smart cow we had to let us know when it wasn't working. I finally sold her when two years straight she rejected both her calves. I claimed she was deranged when she refused to allow them to suck.
Your channel just proves that Farmers are some of the hardest working people. I know it's a lot cheaper but I'm all for fixing old instead of buying new. *That's a long trip Ethan. Glad you both made it back safely.*
Long haul with a top speed of 35 MPH. The width of the disc makes it a harrowing experience hauling down the highway... Thank the Lord everything went well for them
I enjoy watching your videos and I really like the Massey Ferguson tractors when we farmed my dad had a small Ferguson a 150 first tractor I used growing up
Ethan is Right about having to Cross Over the Mississippi River to get into Missouri from Illinois. 500.miles, 16’ Wide and 40-mph. Ethan and Wife are Brave. 👍🙏
I think the cat wanted to show everyone that her eyes are bluer than yours. What a slow long trip. I sure hope the machine works the way that you want it to. You guys are quite the fabricators and restorers. Your family have so many talents.
always touch the electric fence with the back of your hand because if it is hot, your natural reaction is to jerk your hand away from it. if you touch with the palm side, your going to grab a hold of it and get more shocks, not what you want. Pinto just wants some loving from her favorite person. Ethan has a funny bone too with his jd joke. my dad told me that cows have hair on the end of their noses that can feel the electricity. the boss cows will try the fence if they want something on the other side.
Thank you for the video good luck with your new tillage equipment also for your love kindness and your loving family working together with a faithful family God bless y'all ❤
LOL, Rhonda, You have a new child in the form of a loving 4 legged fur baby, that cat chose you for a reason, whatever it is you'll eventually find out. Luv when Kevin buys new to you old stuff and fix's it up to like new condition. DANG that's 1 big tiller. Ethan is starting to show his humrous side which sounds like Kevin almost, at least to me. (which is Kool) Naughty cows, LOL.
Wow you guys are lucky you can pull stuff like that down the road here that's against the law in Canada BC you have to have a truck in front of you flashing lights and says wide load and a truck behind you this is flashing lights in wide load Anything over 8 feet wide is classified as a wide load here in Canada
The stock trailer turned out great! Pinto reminds me of a tabby I had in my early teens. It would ride on my shoulders as I rode my bike around. It would also lay in the weeds and ambush rabbits. The wildlife seem to think it'll be an early spring. The black buzzards which normally return mid march, are already back and perching on my dad's barn as of a week ago. Enjoy the blessing of bright sun and warmer days. May God's grace smile on your farm and family.
The companies all base things on optimal condition. I've never seen optimal condition since we have clay too. Looks like this will be an early wet spring
Happy Sunday, Rhonda!😊😎☀💙💙💙💙💙💙🌷💖💖💖💖💖💖🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇👍. Pinto is a cute cat and she jumped up on your back and did a pose on the camera. Awwwww!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍. That's nice!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍
We’ve had an unusual winter these past 2-3 winters… here in upstate NY around the Syracuse area, usually we get absolutely hammered with snow from Lake Ontario.. usually we get around 200” from November - March.. and we used to get deep deep freezes… today it made it to 60 degrees… unreal… congrats on the new tillage tool.. hope it serves you guys well.. great video
Thank you guys for the video. You're a video I was always reminded me all the hard work that goes in the farming. It's not just getting up and milking and feeding cows. So much has to go to make everything work together around. I love you guys. Thank you for the great memories❤❤
Love your cat. We have a siamese cat also and it's a very lovable animal. Spring's just around the corner here in Pennsylvania and can't wait to start the garden. Thanks for your update!
Well Ethan, you came into my state to get the vertical till, I hope you and your wife had a good trip. When it comes to having or maintaining a profitable farm, you have to do all you can to save costs. I think saving all the money on the rebuild and repair work makes good sense. Good luck with the repair on the spreader and the Challenger. I hope you all have a blessed week.
We used to have a reel disk. We liked it in dry soil but the reel would plug up if the ground was damp at all. We replaced it with a kuhn exellerator that we really like
That had to be a grueling drive for Ethan and Abby. Always enjoy watching the boys perform their magic. That Cat has your eyes. That was like spiritual. Bravo Girl, How many takes did that take ? because you nailed it. Thank you and of course God Bless you...
We love the reel disc best finish tool we have found they just don't go very deep. If you're having weed problems, they won't help. One pice of advice about them don't over grease them. One pump per bearing ones ore twice a year more than that you'll be replacing them daily
The stock trailer looks good. I would like to have one like that but we live a little too far apart. I'm sure you won't have any problem finding a new home for it.
Hola que buenos que son es la primera ves que veo los videos y es que asen de todo des de España un sa ludo y que tengan mucha suerte en todo lo que hagan
Stock trailer looks great. Cats. I was surprised to learn how long they live. I have several that are 22 years old. A few more that are 12 years old. I did not think that they would be around that long.
Ethan had quite the trip. I know where Missouri is, . . . and we live in Canada. (Those Canada Geese are coming back to Canada to build their nest.) Your Challenger tractor should hand the disker quite nicely.
Awwwww,.....Pinto just wants some luvin'!!! How can you resist those beautiful blue eyes?!?! That blue trailer is a pretty color. Does the jacket come with the trailer?!?!
You guys are celebrities. That coat would probably fetch millions of dollars!!! But we would understand if you wanted to keep the coat for Pinto or Mabel to sleep on.@@acresofclayhomestead
WOW Ronda, your nail polish is very bright and striking 😊. One question, seeing as how the Greenhouse is enclosed, could you theoretically grow things throughout the year into the cold weather months?
I just looked at Dove farms before watching your channel and they are on a similar frequency to Kevin buying machinery doing it up and selling it on but they are in the uk 🇬🇧
@@acresofclayhomestead yes that’s a few hours North of where I live and yes it is a very small town I live right on I-70 35 or 40 miles West of St. Louis, I would assume Ethan would have crossed the Mississippi River either at Canton or Hannibal. You all didn’t by chance buy that piece of equipment from the Heindselman family farm did you?
In my case, I noticed that the field is better when the disc harrow is set aggressively and cuts the ground strongly. Then you need to drive slower, 3-4 mph. To gain efficiency, you need a wide machine. Radishes are already growing in my greenhouse. Unfortunately, we have a lot of rain and water in the fields.
Your boys “ definitely like to give you a little shit when you are recording them!!! Those short words are most cherished.!
When Pinto jumped up on your back and looked into the camera, I noticed both you and Pinto have the most beautiful blue eyes!

COOL CAT!.... Ya did some slow long trips home in my day!

60° here today, too! Crazy, but not complaining. 😊
I have pulled that same tool over several thousand acres of bean ground makes a nice shallow seed bed
ANOTHER VERY INTERESTING VIDEO THANK YOU 😊😊😊😊😊
"you can see right here the brand" :D
You guys have good luck on your road trips. Nice scarf cat.

Your husband or one of your kids should start a RUclips channel on just the shop work and dairy work. Those channels do well.
Love your cat. We have a siamese cat also and it's a very lovable animal. Spring's just around the corner here in Pennsylvania and can't wait to start the garden. Thanks for your update!
I'm eager to get in the garden too!
Nice, should be a great addition
Horse trailer looks a lot better. I think Pinto wants to be a inside cat
aw pinto just some love and to be with you its all good
Pinto loves mommy , colder weather you have an instant scarf neck warmer.
Nice 😺, that was a long haul. The trailer looks good.
Thanks for sharing Ronda great vlog
Howdy from Kentucky and GOD Bless !!!

That cat loves you so much! I laughed pretty hard. 🤣🤣, I knew we would see a second attempt. Now I’ll finish your video.
Shop looks really clean and tidy, Sanders should make a few videos on his channel with his truck progress. It sure is a really nice red. Thanks Ronda!
Good Sunday morning to the Acres of Clay Family HOPE ALL IS GOING GREAT FOR YOUR FAMILY!!!

I have had a few of the Himalayan types and they are all shoulder cats. I think they are affectionate and tend to run cold.

The stock trailer should be an easy sell, sure turned out nice.
that is such a pretty cat wow
Pinto has some beautiful blue eyes
He sounds exactly like Kevin 😊
good agri machine & vehicle repair & nice heifers , calves & cows # ❤️🇵🇰
Thank you all for sharing your journey! I really enjoyed the content!!! Be careful and God bless!!!! Eddy
Great Video 👍

Can’t wait to see the new piece of equipment run. Very good video as always your friend from Virginia.
Send some of that warm air to Mass. It was 12 above here this morning.
We had those temps the other morning.
I had to go on google maps to find out where Missouri was !! I’m from Ireland and our island is only 400 miles long.

Lol, we could possibly throw the coat. 😅
You guys are celebrities. That coat would probably fetch millions of dollars!!! But we would understand if you wanted to keep the coat for Pinto or Mabel to sleep on.@@acresofclayhomestead
🤣
The reel till does a very nice job, except the reel part likes to collect rocks
It's time to promote the Challenger to a higher status.
I want that cat
Now get a big big tractor or 2
siamese are so sweet. they are the most dogg-y of cat breeds =)
Just curious what you do with the stinging nettle? Thanks for the video!
I dry it and make tea. Very high in vitamins, especially vitamin C.
All the kids are getting married ❤❤ I’ll be milking the moomoos myself since Mackenzie got married
WOW Ronda, your nail polish is very bright and striking 😊. One question, seeing as how the Greenhouse is enclosed, could you theoretically grow things throughout the year into the cold weather months?
No, the greenhouse is normally frozen solid in the winter months.
I just looked at Dove farms before watching your channel and they are on a similar frequency to Kevin buying machinery doing it up and selling it on but they are in the uk 🇬🇧
Thanks for sharing this Rhonda, I live in Missouri so I’m curious about where in Missouri Ethan had to go to pick up the new piece of equipment?
Ewing, Missouri. Know where that's at? Small town.
@@acresofclayhomestead yes that’s a few hours North of where I live and yes it is a very small town I live right on I-70 35 or 40 miles West of St. Louis, I would assume Ethan would have crossed the Mississippi River either at Canton or Hannibal.

They crossed the Mississippi at Quincy. 😊
No, that wasn't the farm we bought it from.

Thank you!
you could take the wings off if you had to. then the massey would pull it i think
Nice 👌Thanks (N.G Ind)
Vonderful video Ronda
Ah, but... Pinto luvs his mommy... 🥰🥰🥰❤🔥💖💗
Lest not forget the eyes as mentioned in previous comments
Big piece of gear on hitch for so many hours. *Put it to use. Little siamese likes the eyes?
👋😊
Looking good how are you guys doing how is the weather there
Definitely will find out that you won’t have enough ponies to pull that at optimal speed.
tons of grease fittings
When do you start seeding your plants?
