- Winter Blizzard hits the farm, but that doesn't stop the guys from enjoying the snow.
The cows and calves are all settled in.
I'm keeping the fireplace going so we have a nice hot spot to warm up.
Farmer is thinking of ways to get the ground frozen.
Thanks for Watching!

Rhonda is the best of the best. Good house wife and a good farmer no matter how cold it gets outside. Nice uplifting video.
Thanks!
That’s so true.
Thanks Rhonda for keeping all of us in the loop on what's happening at our favorite Michigan dairy farm!!
Every Sunday means three (3) things. Praise GOD, Rest/Relaxation and Acres of Clay Homestead Channel Video. A Solid Trifecta each and every Weekend.👍🙏
Love that!
Great stuff Ronda, have a safe week👍🙏🙂
Slip a 2 litre plastic cola bottle over your snow push stick and ductape it down or put a screw in to bottle on to push stick...then you won't ram push stick through the plastic roof
The whole family is making bread every day, your farm(money)..Coffee can bread tastes very good too..Use a large size coffee ☕️ can and put your regular dough in it and cook it in the oven..😊😊😊
Good morning 🎉🎉❤
Hello Ronda! Thank you so much for sharing a little part of you with all of us! We love your calming presentation! The bread looked ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Wish we could smell it through the screen! Thank you for all you do through the thick and thin! Blessings from your fellow YouTubing, farming friends from Kansas!
Great last video, love watching the babies bouncing around in their pens. Keep up the good work and God bless your family.
I think Rhonda would rather be a cat, stay cozy and snug by the fire. But she goes on out and gets things done, and probably appreciates that nice warm stove when she gets back in at the end of the day. And then she fixes her family a great meal. She is a rockstar with a great band! 😂👍👍
We had a Ski Whiz when I was teenager in 1970
GOD bless this Family...
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your kindness!!!
Great video!
Great Video 👍👍
Great video as always
It's still coming down on the heavy and snowy almost Midwest and mideast and north of the blizzard 🥶
You are the best wife and farmer wife I know of
Good video. The bread looks awesome.
That little fan was made in Canada... Ecofan - the original heat powered stove fan - was developed in the Bruce Peninsula, an area in Ontario, Canada. Canadians understand a cold winter, but the Bruce Peninsula can be particularly brutal. As such, a wood stove can make all the difference on those days when the cold sinks into your bones and you just can’t get rid of the chill. Getting the heat from a wood stove to circulate faster, and stretching the life of your wood pile make the Ecofan an invaluable addition in living your best winter life.
Interesting facts! Thanks!!
Great video. Enjoy your home cooked meal. Thanks
This good life and good living. I love people like this & it reminds of the older generation and us from the far south.
We just got through a blizzard across Iowa. With temperatures in negative numbers, lots of Iowans are staying inside. We don't expect high temperatures in the 20s until midweek next week. Sure good to have AWD/all wheel drive on both of our Toyotas.
I remember baking 5 loaves bread at a time. We were 4 brothers and a best friend when the bread came out of the oven in minutes we'd be into the 2nd loaf. Can almost taste the bread with melted butter as i type this. Hope all are having an awesome new year
Great video Rhonda, that's some snowfall, stay safe and warm
that log burner looks very nice, love to have one nice video as well.like the snow ski.
Good morning great to see them out enjoying there toys Here at 40 below just to cool for skidooing lol Stay safe Stay warm
thank you
Love to watch your videos 👍🫶
Thank you!
It’s really bad when it snows and the ground isn’t frozen. Messy times
I would love to have a couple slices of that fresh baked bread, looks delicious.
that one cow that is backed into the stall is the lookout for the rest. the roast and bread with homemade butter makes me hungry. when momma made whole wheat loaves, she expected the first one would be eaten before it cooled. so good with a glass of farm fresh milk. we would separate the cream off and either make butter or sell it. ❤
I think you guys are amazing. You have a family business I used to farm with the guy with decide to give everything to his kid and he Hated farm so he sold out. I watch your channel all time I live Apalachin Ny
Great chili weather. Due west in Wisconsin we got a foot of snow and bitter cold this morning.
I miss my wood stove. Had to get a propane stove as I was unable to haul wood in the house anymore.
I don’t know if you folks tire of my comments. I hope it helps the channel. It’s nice to see how you are getting along week by week. We have heifers that lay backwards too, they don’t see freestalls until after they calve the first time. Most of them figure it out though and as they grow, they usually prefer to lay the right way. Cold here today and this week in southern Ontario. I think we often have similar temps and snow fall.
We love all comments!!!!
WWWOOOWWW, I LOVE THAT!!!!!😍😍
Dairy farming is tuff and very demanding. It’s a 7 day a week job no matter what the weather is like. My hat is off to anyone who operates a dairy farm. 👍
We got 10 inches here from the storm
That Fireplace is looking pretty about now. I can't believe Kevin is out there pushing snow in an open cab. Thanks for the tour of the animals, I always love that. The boys are doing what boys do as we all did when we were there age. God Bless
I tell ya it been crazy this year Rain wind and now finally we get snow
Really enjoyed your video
Thank you!
The cow that likes to lay backwards, is so funny. Bread looks yummy!!! How does Mable like all the snow?
Mable loves running and rolling in the snow. 😄
Hi mam very nice. vedo❤
We got a total of around 18-20 inches with the two storms. Somewhere around there
havnt seen a massy snowmobile in years forgot they were even made good for him keeping it running should join an antique club and show it at their shows bound to get some prize
The bread looks fantastic. Another excellent video. Grew up in Wisconsin on a dairy farm and worked in the dairy industry all over the country.
I love to see the working dairy farm videos.
We received over 24” of snow from the most recent storm, now bitterly cold.
Winter is grand!
We have cats that go through the access hole for the milk tank hose pickup. Go to the office, step all over the computer, take a crap on the floor, knock stuff off shelves, pisses me off.
They make such messes!!
WOW ! I have not seen a Massey snowmobile for a long long time. There are great deals for your family when you know what to look for. 😊
Indiana, Northern Cold -6 ,Sunday 14, 20 West windy,Sunny. Thanks ☃️(N.G.)
Burr!! Stay warm!
We have coldness and snow in Kansas
Going to be below zero at night all week. Not my favorite weather. I need your fireplace 😅
Beautiful Tractor blade.
Hope you have a Beautiful warm day wood heater looking Gorgeous love you all from Australia ❤❤❤❤❤l
That first picture of your fireplace looked so cozy!!! Interesting content Rhonda and family !!! Thank you for sharing your journey !!! Stay warm and God bless !!! Eddy
Thanks Rhonda, always enjoy the videos. The cold is coming, stay warm by the wood stove if you can.
Holding our breath (hole in the cover). Could you drill a hole in a softball and attach to the stick?
Your bread sure looks like traditional Finnish coffee bread (pullaa). Mom made regular whole wheat dinner bread and at least 2 kinds of rye bread.
I didn't add any cardamom to the dough.
Beautiful video
Thank you
Looks delicious, stay warm
Hi Rhonda. I hope the snow gets little inside the stable otherwise it could be a problem. Greetings from Italy
Merci Ronda pour cette vidéo. on a enfin aussi de la neige en Suisse mais il fait moins froid que dans le Michigan bonne année 2024 la famille Albert le Suisse
Good morning, I wish we would get some snow but all we have is cold, cold, cold, here in the St. Louis area it’s-4 at 10:20. I hope you all stay safe and warm
Stay warm!!!
Beautiful bread! Glad to see the guys got some time to play in the snow. Back in the early 90's I learned to take a frozen pork roast, put it in the crock pot, cover with picante sauce and just let it go all day. Great pulled and served on noodles or rice. Minus 6 this morning in MO, I think we'll hit 40 by Thursday. Have a blessed week, stay safe, warm, and dry (if possible).
Stay warm!!
Oh that bread looks amazing!!!😋
Well it's -7 below here it's nine Sunday night your a little colder cause your 40 miles north of me stay warm you guys starting getting cold hands and feet get them warm cause frost bite is hell when you get older about ten minutes out today had to get my hands warm take care
Its a different view - all covered in snow. The animals are fine inside.
Beautiful coverage. Maybe you could install some music to help relax the cattle or to help pass the time by. Or install some tv’s so that the mothers can watch the Days of Our Lives while waiting on their deliveries. 😂 Seriously, you all be safe during this season.
We have had a easy winter so far but with that didn't toughen up to this cold that rolled in . Stay warm 😊😊
Look like wonderful bread enjoyed your videos you and your family. Take good care during the cold weather. Look forward to your next videos.
Looks pretty harsh out there, we had -7 this morning and a lot less snow, maybe and inch or so. Had to plug in the tractors and feed the cows, open stationed tractors leave you pretty frozen, so I let my son do it this morning. Your bread looks delicious, I'd bet y'all enjoyed that, I know I would, love breads. Stay warm enjoy your day and hope you have a good week.
👋🏼😎
There's even work to do in the greenhouse in the middle of winter!
Hope your staying warm. At least you have gotten some snow. Something I haven't scene much of the last 2 years. The last 2 storms this week all we got was a lot of wind and tons of rain. Five and a half inches in a week is unheard of in this area.
Yikes! Lots of rain!!
Good Morning Ronda,
The fire looks so invitingly comfy do you get the aroma of the wood burning?
I see you got snow and more falling
As i get older and older i have come to realize i don’t enjoy the snow when i was younger 😢 but i know what you mean by being on a Dairy Farm you have to get out to feed the Moo Moo Mamas and the babies, we had snow but the rain we got washed it away, I’m glad Seth drove Mackenzie to work so that she wouldn’t have to take a chance on driving herself and have something happen while on the road
But after all your chores are done you can get back into the kitchen where it’s warm and do some baking
I too wish i could get the aroma of your baked goods and the fire in the wood-stove well, be safe and stay warm❤😊
We don't smell the wood smoke in the house unless while refilling some smoke escapes
@@acresofclayhomestead Oh i understand, i think that’s why i like Fireplaces more so i can enjoy the aroma of Oak wood burning. Sounds kinda weird right?
We made your recipe for stew from a few years back. It is still a favorite. Imagine having stew when it was -35° C outside last evening. We live in Calgary, Alberta. . . . so coming home from church we must be having a warming trend. The dash was reading -29° C. 😂
rhonda you have the most beautiful blue eyes .winter is often a lot of work dealing with livestock
3:25 Cool Dutch Belted. Those are very rare cows.
Acres of clay I really really love your guys's Dairy I learned so much thank you thank you for taking me along looking forward to seeing more of the dairy. Does Sanders make those little snowmobiles I would really enjoy buying one of them from him they look so fun saying hello from Utah stay safe stay warm God bless
Yes, Sanders does make the snowmobiles. He's sold a few of them.
I am very interested in buying one of them or two thank you thank you for your RUclips channel I love it so March and I love the dairy all the cows and tractors thank you thank you
Send me an email if you are interested. acresofclayhomestead@gmail.com
Need a tractor mount snow blower
Now you know what the greenhouse effect is. It means the temperature inside the greenhouse is much higher than you expect. It is similar to our atmosphere. Kevin is using his head as he encourages the snow to slide off.
Love your videos Rhonda
Thanks!
Hi Ronda, Great Video. Quite a roaring fire you have going. I'm about 120 miles East of you and it snowed 1/2 ft of heavy wet snow very quickly just at dark Friday. It bent the shrubs and trees right over. I was looking out the window at Lightening and hearing Thunder-Snow, (very rare) when suddenly the Lightening really got much brighter: Because my house went dark: Our electricity turnt off. So I had to find my way out into the garage to set up the generator, thank goodness for LED lights on cell phones. I don't have to look for a flashlight in the dark anymore. And for the next 24hrs it was generator time. Today, Sunday, it's sunny and very bright out there, but it's only 8°F/ -13.3°C and windy. We're supposed to be cool and windy for the next week, so it's Winter. Time for "MINT" Hot Chocolate Milk and Cake Donuts while warming up by the wood stove. Thank you for inviting us into your farm life, it's always interesting to see what it's like in the day-to-day life at Acres of Clay dairy farm. It's always a treat, an American treasure to see you and your family. Take care & we'll look for you again. ben/ over in Hartland, Mi.
We love ht chocolate!
Hi Ronda! I just realized your coat has a Seed Consultants insignia on it. I've used them for seed wheat in the past . They must be pretty widespread ,being from Ohio. I'm not spending any unnecessary time outside, either. Stay warm!
Seed Consultant is no longer sold in Michigan. 🤔
Too bad that the rooster who is being bullied can’t stay and the others get the Soup-bath treatment! Nothing beats coming in from the cold and sitting by the wood stove.🇺🇸
We got 15.4 inches Friday in Moline Illinois. Now,we are down to 15 below at night and 6 below for a daytime high, with 20-45mph wind. I guess I didn't realize that your property is on both sides of the road. Looks like Ethan &Sanders are having a good time out there in nature
Stay safe!!
@@acresofclayhomestead always
Good morning how are you guys doing how is the weather there I got snow here in Sinclairville New York looking good keep up the good work
It's cold and windy today.
I had to get under a blanket to watch this video 😂😁🤭🤭👍🙋♂️🙏🙏🙏🙏🐄🐄🐄🚜, before I forget it do you ever fix chicken and dumplings? I would love to have your recipe if so. Prayers for you and your family always youngin!
I haven't made chicken and dumplings in quite a while. That sounds good on a cold, windy day!!
@@acresofclayhomestead that and some butter milk cornbread I forgot that lol
Ronda, just a suggestion, if Kevin made a poker device with a flat board on the end would that be better than just the pole? Less chance of making a hole in the curtain of the greenhouse, does that make sense? I’m just trying to be helpfull
That would be a great idea!! Thanks!
@@acresofclayhomestead or just use the back side of the rake just like a broom beating the dirt out of a rug.
nice video as always. thanks. i have moved south but just talked to a old friend in Howard City north of you he said he is getting blasted with lake effect snow
Yes, today we are seeing more blowing snow.
Iam job need halp🎉
I would love to have a little snowmobile that Sander has. They look like a lot of fun. Does he make them to sell?
He needs to sell some that he already has. He keeps building more...
How much does he want for one?
Why do you say that it could be a HUGE disappointment to buy one?
@user-gy8zf4iy7f I never said it would be a huge disappointment to buy anything.
Sanders gets $600-$800 per snowmobile, depending on what you want.
Don't you just hate them laying the wrong way. Out of the 235 we milk at least 40 lay the wrong way. There are 20 stalls that look out the driveway and they all lay the wrong way. Just being nosey I guess.
Now I have to go out and get some Brioche. Is that what you were going for? I could almost taste it. Thanks Ronda
Yes!!
I heard that Massey Ferguson snowmobile came with a PTO. Is that true?
Not that I know of...
What kind of bread did you make
Brioche
Is the snowblower working?
The lawn tractor needs more weight in the back. The snowplow is too heavy.
@@acresofclayhomestead up bet they can fix it easily
I could get you my address and could just send the bread out my way so you could keep making it 😁😁
🤣🤣
First
Thanks!!
*Meteorologists need to do a much better job of doing their jobs.* They're the only profession that I know that can be wrong more times than they're right and still keep their jobs and make six figures a year.
They need to be careful because more an more people aren't paying attention to them and that can be very dangerous when things actually get rough. They keep saying everything is a "Hundred year storm, blizzard, tornado and hurricane" and it's really not. It's all part of their Global Climate Emergency. They're trying to convince people that the world is in danger of being unlivable if we don't make drastic changes in America and give the W.H.O. hundreds of Billion of dollars every year to "fix it" with the GangreneNew Deal. *It's ridiculous and criminal. *
Sorry for ranting.
*Hope y'all have a safe and warm winter season.*
well i guess there not going to make more videos ,,,So i will get rid of this channel after all these years,,,
