When he shoots the brother and gets in the man's face with the gun and asks if he wants to see another magic trick. Was very intense when I saw it in theatres, never seen Chris be so intense.
The best part about this scene is how he carries his revolvers. How someone back then actually would have done it. Unless you're Wild Bill, the whole dual wielding wasn't really a thing. You had 2 because it was faster to grab the second gun than to reload the first.
the only difference is that they didn't have fast draw holsters but quite the opposite, holsters that held the gun tightly. Not what it's shown in movies =) A common issue in the old west was people losing their guns, not actually getting into 1v1s o 1v2s or whatever
I seriously hope Pratt gets more roles like this. Obviously he fits the 'Goofy Badass' probably better than Jackie Chan (stunts excluded) but that smolder... I'm moist. Medium rare.
I love watching Cowboy movies, I remember me and my dad watch classics like Wyatt Earp and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. This movie was equally as memorable as those 2.

Aeredhael Redfalen no it’s not. Just because he loves his guns doesn’t mean he would care about them or their guns, the guns they just tried to kill him with... The stand up western character like the you’re eluding to more than likely wouldn’t have kept the guns and throw them because he wasn’t a thief, and wouldn’t want to have been called a thief by taking them, having respect for their weapons has nothing to do with his character.

Killing the guy in self defense is one thing, but then stealing his property, technically now the property of his next of kin (who is right there) changes things.
Faraday was actually really nice given that most people would've killed two guys given the situation but instead killed one who really pissed him off and letting the one who likely was the mastermind go with a warning. And he even explains why the guy died and showed that he wasn't a hypocrite by leaving the gun. It sucks the guy lost his brother but it could've been MUCH worse
Who else saw it on live television and had to go to RUclips to rewatch that scene? Back in the day we had to ride across/downtown or if you're lucky...walk into town just to rent a movie for a night or two for $12-15 (probably less ) cant remember . Each day late they charge (approx) 2-5 bucks a movie . In the western times, they were all in the spotlight making their own movie with their wagon wheels.
For anyone who wants to know, this isn't the original version. This is a reboot of "The Magnificent Seven" from 1960. I watched as a kid with my dad and it was great. Definitely recommend it.
The only movie I find Pratt dead serious was in this one! Faraday may not come out as a direct action movement character, but that's what makes him so dangerous besides being a master gunman, the cunning and smarts and charisma.. Freaking damn good movie and acting by all actors. Masterpiece
"Fun fact: the small revolver Chris uses is a legit real gun, it was loaded with blanks, sure, but it was a real gun." - Alec Baldwin agrees with this comment.
I've been too stuck on red dead redemption 2 lately, so when Faraday was picking up the guns, all I thought was "Lancaster repeater" when he picked up the lever action, and "bounty hunter role"(in particular) when he holsters his revolvers
Am I the only one who feels sorry for the brother who likes magic? it was kinda precious😭
Well he said he wanted to kill him instead of get the money and leave so he had it coming.
