I hope the future comes soon for you. These things are very useful for a good workflow in the DAW. If you have any questions about it when you finally get one, let me know. Also thanks for listening to the music!
Thank you for showing us some of the features of the unit . I do have a question which is can you have the display go up onto a monitor so you can have a bigger work area? It would be great to see all 24 tracks simultaneously. And if you can wow they really update the unit. I really sense already that this task count 2400 is a winner. It would be nice not to have to Use protools. We're mostly using this live. And thank you for sharing FIXX
Thanks for this! Question: Do you know what the Midi In is used for / capable of? I see people on forums saying it cannot be set as midi slave (Which seems to make sense) but it leaves me wondering what the Midi input is used for then..
@lochlandoyle8158 I'm not sure what the midi is for yet. I've never used anything midi. I'll look into it eventually though maybe I can expand my horizons.
I didn't know they weren't available in stores yet. I ordered mine from Sweetwater. The nice man from Sweetwater may or may not have known that I was wearing the hat at the time. When I made the phone call he said they didn't have them yet but that they would within days and it would ship immediately. That's how I got mine so quickly. Thanks for commenting! 🖖
@@lonesomeharmonic Have you ever had that experience where the car in front of you takes its sweet time going through the traffic light, even as it's about to turn red; because they know they're gonna make it through fine? And you know they didn't give a damn about the car behind them. Yeah. That feeling. That's how I feel about the Tascam Model 2400 vis-a-vis all the online reviews by all those who ALREADY HAVE ONE, and most of those guys were sent one for review anyhow. All of the commentary surrounds the unit, but nobody makes any commentary about how it is maddeningly out of stock at all the usual retailers. And though the total lack of inventory is not an aspect of the unit per se, it might as well be... for what's the difference between unit that doesn't work, and a unit that you can't even possess? Oh well... who gives a sh*t, when you've already made it through the light. Sucks to be me. And I have to say... it's making me hate Tascam.
@@vandytalk Damn I hope you get one soon. I think I got lucky. I'm not the brightest blip on the radar and live a little under a rock you could say. Also I'm still confused about how to use certain features on this thing. They don't send a hard copy user manual with the unit. My gratification is delayed.
Great video. I just purchase the same mixer for Sweetwater and then come with the manual. Sweetwater did send me the link to download the manual but you have to call tascam1-800 number and tell them that it didn't come in a manual and it takes about 2 weeks what the lady told me and you have to have a picture of your serial number of the model that you have email it to them. So hopefully I'll have me a book in 2 weeks
@danap8044 Yes, I have the newest firmware installed on the Model 24. I haven't tried to update the firmware on the Model 2400 yet. Maybe if I did it would work with the existing game model mixer settings panel application that I already have installed on my pc. But still, I don't know where to find the download for that thing either way. I remember having trouble finding it when I first it started using the Model 24. This video is disgraceful. Do you think I should still leave it up? Maybe I'll make a tightly edited version of it. It might be good for laughs.
@@lonesomeharmonic I would contact your Sweetwater sales rep and tell them what's going on. I think maybe Tascam hasn't realized the software isn't uploaded to their site.
Looks cool! Here in Canada they are just over $3000... but.... I can see one in my future. Love your music.

@@lonesomeharmonic right on. I already bought mine, bummed once I heard you say you might sell as I would have bought from you
I wish there was a 4 band EQ
@@levelletate4551 Where? Like on the main output? I didn't notice that yet. I'm going to take a closer look when I get around the machine.
Can you unbox the answer as to why this unit isn't even available anywhere for purchase? Maybe your funny hat helped you buy one, I dunno.

Any luck yet getting the 2400 connected to your computer via usb?

I heard that NASA is going to make a limited run of rca to quarter inch adapters next year.
This is all way too weird for me.....see ya.
RCA is not a professional contractor and that is why they changed it. A y cable from Amazon is nothing compared to the price of the 2400
