Do you play pcvr on your quest 2?
I don't play anything else. The only app what I bought on the Q2 is Virtual Desktop :D
Actually I don't see too much difference between my friend Valve Index what I wanted to buy first. Just it was not on stock anywhere.
The wireless PC vr is really cool but, I just don't like it because it is really hard to get full body working with it.
I was setting it up today and I had the stupid three dots issue and no RUclips vids helped so I used vr desktop and I have used wired before and sure it was better but now I was having issues vr desktop is so much easier to setup
@@hungaro7964 Ditto. I have only bought Virtual Desktop on Quest and have only used the Quest for PCVR. However, I prefer my HP Reverb G2 and hardly use the Quest 2 anymore.
yesss
i have quest 1 and 2
You don't need a great internet connection unless you're playing multi-player, what you need is a great local connection to your Wifi. The best solution is to have a dedicated router that your PC is plugged into directly and that is line of sight (preferably 15' or less) to your quest, and have nothing other than your Quest and the PC connected to it. WiFi 6 is probably better but honestly WiFi 5 works just fine, the most important is that it be line of sight to the Quest and not be supporting other traffic.
For anyone considering doing this, I wouldn't even bother with the cable. You might get a slightly sharper image, but it's not worth it for the aggravation of the cable IMO. As for playing wirelessly, if you're only going to play once in a while then Air Link is probably good enough. If you're going to play PCVR regularly then spend the money and get Virtual Desktop, it's far superior. And spend the $50 for a dedicated router, it's well worth it (there are plenty of videos on RUclips showing you how to set this up).
dawg will 15 mbp internet work💀
@@catsanesss5050 Yeah. It might suck for multiplayer though.
@@catsanesss5050Broooo, I thought my 95 mbps was still slow... I only got that last year and was like 8 mbps before that, though, so I know your pain.

i have a great pc (ryzen 7 5800x, 2060 32gb ram) but the oculus app says i don't meet the minimum specs? how does that work steam vr benchmark was great but the app doesn't think so? also when it does work there are visual glitches everywhere and it barely even loads
sadly i never heard this before i am sorry
Let me tell you, my PC specs are: Radeon 6950XT (16gb) Ryzen7 3800 8 cores 16threads 32gb system ram 4tb NVME. And Oculus still tells me at the top of the app that my PC does not meet the min system requirements. Go figure.
I am still able to play with zero problems, but everytime i open the oculus app there is big blue banner telling me my PC does not meet the min requirements.
@@fundamentalBaptist1711 i figured it out its just the cord recommendation is usb3
It’s hilarious how he just keeps saying BEEFY PC and never just says PC
So if I do that would I be able to play the pcvr version of blade and sorcery nomad
yes exactly but keep in mind the nomad is getting the big crystal hunt update next week
So I plugged it into my computer and now the headset turns into the meta start screen goes black then turns off in repeat and I can’t restart it….
disconnect it and restart it again make sure you update your headset
@@VRelitythanks that worked!!!
awesome what games did you play first?@@void_ark_
What confuses me is what software should be running and in what order to start them and where do I launch the games from? So do you need Oculus app, Steam and SteamVR running on PC. Do you launch game from within headset or Oculus app or Steam??? Also do I run SteamVR first then Oculus then plugin the headset? I've been trying to get this to work for months, one day it works next day it crashes or game doesn't load or just sits there spinning like its loading! One time I'll be in a big open white space with a grid, next it's a starry sky with mountains in the distance, WTF is going on, very confusing.
I recommend you just play with the oculus link cable itself that way you don't have to worry about this. you can do it wirelessly but connect it to your pc and start it up from your pc and make sure both your headset and computer are updated and connected to the wifi
If my computer is close to my pc but I don’t use Ethernet and still get good signal. Should I use airlink?
I would try out airlink first for sure since it is free anyways
if my wifi isn't the greatest should i use link cable?
yeah i think that is a great idea
@@VRelity so what is pcvr? Google won't even tell me, like, everyone just knows or is expected to know by now and I have no clue.
@@DarkStallion101 exactly what it says in the name: Virtual reality running on pc, so instead of quest standalone (not connecting to a computer), it runs with a computer supporting it.

Do you think a i5 9th gen and a 1660 would work well?
I would recommend perhaps higher specs if possible but i think it should still be fine but you might not get the best performance
is nvidia geforce rtx 3060 a good graphics card and 16gb ram good for pcvr?
its awesome for it you will have a great time. I hope you enjoyed the video aswel?
can airlink contribute to better graphics in the VR? at the moment everything is blurry and laggy in my quest, how can i fix this?
I'm leaving a reply so i can see the answer too
depends what you compare it too. Airlink is gonna give you pcvr acces but ofcourse physical cable connection is gonna give you the best quality for sure
Dou your games look like the ones on the monitor or does the games on quest 2 looks lil blurry?
I think it looks pretty good ofcourse the quest 3 has a sharper image
Quick question, is it possible to launch pirated vr games through virtual desktop, since apparently going to launch games thru steamvr, then into air link is very laggy
good question. sadly I did not have huge succes but some others have. personally I didn't dive deep enough into it but maybe you should check to be sure
Will this work with a Gaming Laptop
yeah if it is powerful enough it will
Wait so you have to plug your pc to ypu router?
no you dont have to but if you want a faster connection then it would be recommended
The only thing im curious about, is whether when the quest 2 is plugged in, it keeps it charged or not.
I bought a non branded cable via AliExpress and mine charged it while playing
It says it is charging, but will deplete. It will have a very slow charge if it’s turned off completely and plugged into the pc. I got about 2 hours whilst on usb c to usb c
it still takes power while playing pcvr most of the time but it should charge yea
PCVR makes the quest 2 so awesome
yes
Faxx
I don't know why but I can't use airlink since the game Im trying to play isn't supported, I can't use Virtual Desktop because it's laggy to highhell, and I Oculus Link refuses to work correctly also :)
Did you try steam link?
So I did all the steps and when I try to play a game on it, it just says loading while the game actually is playing on my laptop
Oke let's check a couple of things. Are your computer and quest headset updated to the latest software? Are they connected properly? If so then it should work if not then check if this problem also happens with other games or just this one.
Let me know
@@VRelity I’ll make sure to try out all of these things thanks!👍
