- RUclips!!!!! In this episode I'll be doing more Troubleshooting on the no start issue. First thing I did was get the fuel pressure situated by adding an external fuel pressure regulator new fuel filter and a return line to the sending unit. Installed a new starter that in my opinion is much better than the first one I purchased. I swapped some wires on the cam sensor connector, I swapped coil pack harnesses but she still will not start. So I've made the decision to take to a shop to see if they can get it running before I keep spending unnecessary money for the same outcome. Stay tuned in for more hopefully the shop will me film.

Spark, fuel, air. Also, I believe holley requires you to press the gas pedal to calibrate the drive by wire. Thats why it started popping at 12:06. I believe you're facing a bad sensor somewhere. My advice is to stop throwing money at it and properly diagnose your wiring voltages to sensors and testing the output data while cranking.
I noticed the map sensor plug not plugged in it measures air pressure in the intake manifold to calculate the ignition timing
I thought I seen it hanging in front of the firewall too.

Pull the #1 plug out bring up that piston to top dead, take the timing chain off and set the cam with the crank dot then put ur chain back on and its in time. Never was a spark or cranking issue. The motor is 180degrees out
Get test light and check coils and see if you getting fire to them bro and some sensors can be bad when you buy them that test light is a big help bro to make sure you getting fire

When you get that timing an cam sensorsors worked out. Boi! That ( X ) pipe an exaust ,going sound awesome . They can scan it an look into the ecm program to see whats up .

On these Holley wire harnesses, the crank and cam sensor plugs are identical. Swap them out and then fire it up. I did the same thing.

Check your ignition coil wires make sure they're in the right rotation

Use a noid light to ✔️ the injectors. If u sure of fuel, then test the spark. She got hella compression.

Make sure your fuel injectors brand are in that Holley system if not then you got to get it programmed in
it is, i purchased some holley injectors just to be sure!! but they are in the system!! 💯🦾

Reset the values in the wizard. Remember you had the 58X crankshaft sensor, and then changed it for the 24X. Did you reprogram the Wizard since the new sensor???
And check your throttle body too you have to adjust them they don't come pre set

the holley system is letting me know that the sensors are good it’s got to be timing/tune like others are saying in the comments
Try swapping the big coil plugs around

TDC.pull out number one spark plug, ball up a piece of tissue, stick it in da spark plug hole,bump it until tissue pops out & that's TDC
Gotta check for spark. Fuel air spark.

That’s why i didn’t open her up yet!! the shop i plan on using is very reputable and has lots of experience with the holley system! This is a full stroker build nothings original to the engine that’s why i believe i need and startup tune like you suggested!!
double check your harness connection
You sure you got the right crank sensor make sure it’s for the right tooth count it’ll never crank if it’s off
Your MAP sensor unplugged bro. Also, try not to keep starting if it doesn’t start right away. That’s what burns out your starter big dawg.
They will not run without it I was driving down the street and mine stall out because the map sensor came off the cold air intake
Looks like u just need to rotate the coil harness wires meaning leave it on the same side just unplug the coils flip the harness from front to back on both sides thats it sounds like its firing out of order

i didn’t bro! I was trying my best to not have to tear it back down, i know it’s not much but DAMN!! 🤦🏾♂️ i have a few things to do before it’s shop/tow ready so i might just end up doing it. if not i’ll have the shop check it out when i take it!

@@SouthSideNateIf you have an electric or air impact you can make this job real fast, like less than 2 hours. Drain your fluids, disconnect the radiator hose on the water pump, unplug the harness on the accessories, remove belt and zap the accessories off along with the balancer, remove the front cover, take the #1 spark plug out and screw in a piston stop, rotate the crank until the piston touches the stop, your crank dot should be facing 12 o'clock, analyze the correlation to the cam gear, if it's off remove the cam gear and chain and reset it so the cam dot lines up at 6 o'clock, torque cam gear and chain down and start slapping it all back together. 👍🏾

Try disconnecting the maf sensor
Need to re check your timing and degree…get someone with a a tune software and drop a basic tune to start

That's why your getting sputter and a bit of fames out your exhaust....its a few degrees off not combusting to ignite the fuel when its supposed to...looking forward to see and hear the Thunder in Summer Rain...
Cam degree is a can of worms when your doing it for the first time....

Yea a few of you guys said this that’s another reason why i’m deciding to go to a shop, the one i plan on going too does exhaust and all. Might as well get the full exhaust that way it’ll have enough to start plus it’ll be one more thing checked off the list.
Check the codes in the computer and make sure the oil aint got gas in it ( cylinder wash down) from to much cranking

I read about a guy having issues with the 24 tooth reluctor and the terminator x and having to swap the A and C wires going to the cam sensor. This made me wonder if i were being tricked into thinking I had the proper timing and not being out 360deg. So to test my theory, I changed the firing order from 18726543 to 65431872. FIRED UP IMMEDIATELY!!!!! (Pulled from a forum online, might help your issue)

Bro have you checked that your injectors are spraying? I had a similar issue i was getting fuel to the rails but my car wouldn't start for the life of me. i pulled out one side of the injectors and put little plastic cups under neath to see if they was spraying and only 1 out of 8 was spraying a little bit. Swapped them out and it fired up right away
Did you hook up the vacuum line from the computer to the intake
It’s not plug and play it’s a set up you have todo if you haven’t already done it.. I’m just trying to help
Did you do the initial set up with the wizard? And do your TPI calibration
Bro I just went back and watched the video of you building the engine and you didn't have cylinder #1 at TDC. The key way on the crank needs to point to cylinder #1 with #1 cylinder at TDC with the crank and timing chain sprockets dot to dot.
I did the degreeing of the cam off camera because i was learning as i went. so whatever you seen was nothing final when it comes to the timing or setting it to top dead center!

Does it have a mass air flow sensor? That will cause a no start
