you taught us how to test for a regulator thats running rich, how about if it is running lean? if its lean it means there will be no fuel coming out of the vacuum hose right? i know its lean coz i checked the spark plug and it is clean almost white.
My car seem to lose fuel pressure after it's been sitting overnight...... could that be due to a bad fuel pressure regulator not holding pressure? When I go to start up in the morning, it feels like the fuel line is half-empty when I turn car to ON position to prime the fuel pump. Sounds like the pump is also making gurgling sounds like it's having trouble running pressure through the line.
My car drives well on fairly flat roads, problem comes when i have go up hill (fairly steep road),the car does not accelerate beyond 40km/hr then it violently stops with bang which sounds like its from the engine bay.it almost stops, gets to a lower gear.If i need to go up steep hills,i have to be gentle on accelerator.Disturbing
2015 Hyundai genesis coupe 3.8 v6 the regulator is ticking/clicks on every time we try to start it, obviously that might be the problem but just want some feedback on what we can do or more things we can confirm confirm that it’s bad, can we use a multimeter
My car starts up fine it just sometimes while I'm idling at a stop it loses power and turns off then I could smell raw fuel can this be my pump or the regulator
Sounds like clogged fuel injectors my injector was cracked and it smelled like bad gas check ur fuel injectors are damaged or if u can smell fuel near the injector
My situation is kinda similar , but my problem Is I was driving home one night and I lost power like it drove for a few more miles and then suddenly brakes got harder to use and I could no longer go faster got harder to accelerate all my lights were still on still it jus got to crank no start , few weeks after I bought an obd reader it read code p0001 “fuel regulator “ but before I bought it more than 1 person told me it was my fuel pump , I’m jus really lost on which part to purchase
Probably both. I just changed my fuel pump, filter, and injectors. My car is running better but it's still taking a tad longer to start than it should and it stalled after starting once. So I'm going to change the pressure regulator and hope that's the final problem. But if you want to go for the cheapest option, do the pressure regulator first.
Get a Hayes/Haynes manual for your car. Also they have a website online. Part store could also help you locate where that part is. The manual is great, I learned how to do my first brake job with it!
Yes it can it could be bleeding down into the cylinder filling it with gas smell your oil and check to see if the oil smells like gas if it does change the oil and filter asap and fix the injector / injectors the ones that are leaking fuel could also be fuel pressure regulator you can check and test it with a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail
Thank you, do you have a video which explains how to check if diesel leaked down and mixed with the oil? I tried to smell the oil but I’m not sure if it’s a normal smell or not
BTW, I performed injectors flow rate test and in 5 minutes all injectors returned equally a 5ml of fuel. But this test is did after i replaced 1 injector that i was suspected that it’s faulty
i’m getting a fuel pressure regulator open circuit code when it rains or snows and was wondering if i should replace my regulator or look for damaged wires? only comes on when it rains or snows or super moist out. (2018 gmc Sierra)
Take a shot every time he says "fuel pressure regulator"
😂😂😂😂 great vid tho
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Good one
I'm drunk...
Pass playing
Lol I lost count it was around 18
That’s pretty much all of my symptoms, my new one arrives tomorrow, hopefully it fixes my issues.
Update, it fixed every issue I was having, thank you for the information.
Was it easy to replace? I'm a very handy troubleshooting type female... @@Kjllo1216
@@Kjllo1216 and mine will be here tomorrow lol
@@Realmphukng Hoping it works out for you, my car runs so much better now.
Thanks for great explanation!
Good talk, first I have heard about the running lean. Get right on that. Thanks
More people here for problems with a BMW? 😂😂
Volkswagen
Thanks
I got a 91 Ford f350 7.5 with a vacumm fuel pressure regulator. What if there's a little smell of gas in the vacuum line but no leaks?

Good presentation !
Thank you. I wonder if running rich for this reason and having black smoke, changing or cleaning the oxygen sensors is required

Possibly your fuel injectors leaking, which is pretty slow, so they might start up fine within an hour or two
Did you ever figure out the issue? Sounds like what mine is doing. Maybe a gargling / grinding noise coming from the pumps.

Mine is hard to start . No excelration when i need it . But mostley only when at running temps . Not cold or first 10 miles or so . What u think .
Hi were you talking about the fuel pressure regulator on the in tank fuel pump assembly?

Thanks for this. Actually super helpfull 🙂
Where is it located on a 2007 Chevy Tahoe

I have no fuel pressure come to carb at all hoping its the regulator new electric fuel pump no pressure
Do you can help me please find the fuel pressure regulator in my Suzuki Grand Vitara 2011 2.4L ?

Would it cause stalling
Correct
What is glow plug in diesel engine?
engine heater, one of the important parts of diesel engine
They heat up inside the cylinders for ignition of the diesel 👍
Can an injector cause a low fuel pressure errors? (especially the Siemens piezo injectors in VW)

Best video on the subject I've saw yet! Thank you! 💅🏿
Thank very much
Okay I’ve changed the fuel rail sensor and fuel sensor and I’m still getting code p018c the po18b went away

Is it possible that it could be the fuel pressure regulator with white smoke??
Hopefully this fixes my issue, sounds about right tho
You're good man
