I really enjoy your videos, I have been painting since the early 70"s. I look forward to them kep up the good work. Bye the way I'm 78 years old and still enjoying myself
A friendly greeting from a MTG player that has never painted a mini in his entire life. The YT algorithm led me to miniature painting some years ago and your channel is the only one that really stuck with me. The Painting Roulette is INCREDIBLY entertaining! You don't know what you get when you settle in to watch the vid, but you know it's going to be insightful. I'm a sucker for aesthetics and your thoughts on colors and decorations are always interesting to me. Please keep doing these sort of videos - they're a window into the hobby for outsiders such as I and they show a true insider challenging his own capabilities and explore the borders of his own creative limits. By letting the dice do the decisions you end up with an end result you probably would have never done through your own decisions. I think it's simply magical!
I love how you focus on the joy of painting (reference possibly intended...) There are so many channels that focus on technique, and that's wonderful, but your focus on creativity and fun is so refreshing. Thank you!
I have a real stressed out life. School is crazy and bills are insane. But this is my zen. As soon as I sit down on my computer I get the alert and immediately grab comfort food and chill out with your videos. Love the channel. Where would we all be without Dr. Goobs.
I think what makes your videos so great, is the amount of fun you can tell you're having. It's positively infectious, your videos always bring a smile to this lads face ha.
Well Brent I was following along just fine then you made my drink spew forth with Johan time! I have not watched the video wince this mini came to be, but I have seen him a few times now and I crack up each and every one! I am glad you had a treasure trove of submissions to feature too! What a group you have here! So nicely done. I look forward to the next video with anticipation and excitement!
Took a break from watching Miniature painting videos. I had forgotten the intoxicating atmosphere created by Brents voice and the calm music, the fantastic paint schemes and the happy vibe all together . It’s hard to stay away for too long.
I’ve missed your roulette videos. They are constantly amazing. Your chill vibe as you talk through backstories, and your ability to describe your painting techniques/decisions is epic.
Always love these types of videos. Random themes, random minis and listening to the stories you come up surrounding them always brings a smile to my face.
Man, these Roulette videos are always so enjoyable. Going back and watching all the early ones, I think this was just such an inspired series, nice job!
Such a fun video. Loved all the weathering techniques, but that dwarf is such an amazing mini. The clocks on the beard were really a great touch. Also, so exciting to see my model in this video, I have the greatest grin on my face rn.
I think you must have got some of your dusty orange pigment on your little furry goober because there's no way that level of cuteness is all natural! Can't wait to see what next season has in store - your community is very talented and these videos are always such a joy to watch. Hope to roll along with you all next season!
I think the phrase "This helmet aint for wearing, its for Drinking" is one of the most Dwarfy things I've ever heard. Also, if you want more channels for tank modelling, I'd recommend Martin Kovac's channel: Night Shift Martin is a great bloke and a genuinely great modeller
The way tanks are normally painted is metal, covered by a thick layer of heavy duty primer, and a relatively thin layer of the final color. So the idea is the lighter color is the primer wearing through the main paint, and the dark is bare metal.
By Grimnir's beard it is The White Dwarf Grombrindal. This should be a good one. Go Goober, let the painting forges roar and make the dwarf folk proud!
You just took this challenge to the next level! Good job Goober, you really bring the perfect mixture of smarts and creativity that we all just love to see!
Brent, this video is so, so, so inspiring (and entertaining!). I wish I had a bit box as heaving as yours - the way you approached the parameters set out to you by the dice rolls was just so creative, and exactly the sort of thing I enjoy watching. I could watch you do Goobertown roulettes every week and learn something new every time. Bravo maestro!
You've inspired me. I haven't ever played D&D, never played with minis, I still don't have any. Your videos have an addictive quality to them that I really like. Your attention to detail is admirable, I've learned so much! I was a house painter, now in Electrical Engineering. Totally picking up what you're laying down!
You are truly inspiring and relaxing Brent, I don't usually comment anywhere but you deserve to here it so that hopefully it makes your day like you make mine!
Punk Axe Wielding Tank Dwarf! Be still my heart. Great video as always my friend. What an EPIC draw. Wild west is also a goto steampunk reference for me as well. Great movie
So many good entries!! I can't believe the incredible variety and quality of this roulette round. No wonder it's getting more difficult to choose!! Great job on yours too, love the Punk Tank Dwarf. 🤘 Can't wait to watch this season's entries on Discord!
Super excited to see another episode of Goobertown Roulette. This is a great series that I always really enjoy, and I'm excited to see you doing what's basically a tank for the Squats!
Loved it, now I am inspired to paint and weather a tank, good thing I still have some rhinos laying around :D Nice job on the dwarf, nothing better then a red bearded dwarf on a massive tank!
I wanna see a goober gets wasted and paints a mini season 😉😂 like Scott and Jon have done their drunk mini painting episodes, maybe u could join them for the next one 🥰
This was such a neat tutorial! I like the painting of the dwarf and the tank and using a spare turret so you can keep the original model was a great idea. Thanks for sharing this.
"he's not a shameful traitor... not embarrassingly beholden to the Russian mob." Great joke dude. I'll probably be laughing at it approximately until aftertomorrow.
Came here because of MWG Dave and IC Carl but have to say that I love the weathering techniques that u showed... The Bob Ross of miniatures... it’s a complement sir!
Great challenge! Great result!! Always a bonus to take care of a large piece like that tank and put it to good use. I enjoyed my challenge this season. Looking forward to the next one. It'll be pretty funny if I end up with most of my Riot Quest models being painted via Goobertown Roulettes.
In a stream with another youtube hobbyist, you came up Mr Goobertown. Everyone agrees that you're the hobby world's Mr. Rogers. Just thought you'd appreciate the compliment. :)
I loved when he said "It's Johann time!" and johanned all over the place. Jokes aside, having both the turret and the occupants being modular and swappable is nice. There could be a game where the tank gets destroyed and you can just take out the Dwarf and have him footslog for the rest of the battle :D
If you plan on building more vehicles, the Night Shift channel is the only one you need to see. His channel is a deep rabbit hole, but very informative and fun.
I really enjoy your videos, I have been painting since the early 70"s. I look forward to them kep up the good work. Bye the way I'm 78 years old and still enjoying myself
Hey thanks for hangin out! Keep on paintin! :-)
“I can give this dwarf a tank as an accessory”
I love this hobby.
Hehehehe

I'm glad you're not doing finger painting again, though you did a great job under the circumstances

What a perfect model to be used in a Goobertown Roulette Grand Finale

Hey thanks for the rec! There seems to be some consensus in these comments about night shift! :-)

These videos are pure enjoyment for miniature painting, thank you!
Painting some Infinity miniatures while watching this. 😄
I love how the dwarf looks like he's raising a toast to whoever he's about to open up on with those Gatling guns.
oh for sure! don't mess with this dwarf :-)
First paint roulette vid I've seen, I'm enjoying it
Epic Dwarf in an epic tank! Excellent job my friend :)
The clock accessories on the beard is a really nice touch. I love the idea that he has them set to varying time zones. A very well traveled dwarf!
The way tanks are normally painted is metal, covered by a thick layer of heavy duty primer, and a relatively thin layer of the final color. So the idea is the lighter color is the primer wearing through the main paint, and the dark is bare metal.
Brent you are AMAZING! Thanks for the shout-out! Had so much fun doing these Goobertown Roulette challenges. Can't wait to start Season 4
:-)
By Grimnir's beard it is The White Dwarf Grombrindal. This should be a good one. Go Goober, let the painting forges roar and make the dwarf folk proud!

Good call on this one but the ogre for the khorne elves was a stellar choice.
It was worth the wait. Everything I wanted and more. Thanks for the video and good season!
Fantasy dwarfs are okay. But crazed, punky sci-fi dwarfs are awesome!
Dude you pulled such a good miniature nice and I think the theme was brilliant.
