What an interesting story, and the twist was well done. The heroics of the Perrys, and knowing the Captain would have done it themselves, had the initial attempt failed, great ‘moral of the story’ Trek.
Great episode! Congratulations Randy-- to you and your whole group. Excellent trek indeed! The writing on this one was particularly good! Great visual effects as well. Awesome job!
Nice work! And a great story. Glad to see Donna get more roles. She's a wonderful person and Star Trek fan. She deserves it, and did a wonderful job here! congratulations!
Another brilliantly acted, scripted, and excellent story of the heroic actions of wonderful, brave, & beloved people. I’m crying a lot of tears because of their sacrifice…for the salvation of our entire galaxy. THIS is in the truest genre of what Gene Roddenberry fought for, & brought to each & every one of us. Brilliantly done!! Thank you all. In loving memory of the Perrys…
If you have a green screen and a uniform, you can do your own. Fan Film Factor just posted a very good short by a newer production. Where there is a will there is a way.
Gotta say, with all respect to everyone else on the cast and crew, Duffy's probably my favorite. A well ordered mind, logical, fiercely intelligent, but comes off as your experienced grandpa or uncle, trying to guide you to make the right choices. You're ALL amazing, though! Thank you for everything you do.

You guys did an excellent job on this episode. Great cast, crew and story. This is why Star Trek is in good hands with fans rather than with Paramount that doesn't understand Star Trek at all.
Thank you! We're editing our next one, and the thing that strikes me everytime I edit one is how much fun we have as a cast a crew making our Star Trek fan films!
100% marks. Not seen this in Trek before, not like this. A really moving story, and one that makes you think about who is paying attention and what resources are needed to save all of us & to save the few heroes trying to save us all.
In a way saving the galaxy is the family business and that blue stream that hit ship as it got closer that was very well done and the line the die is fast kind of felt like a reference to the Deep Space Nine episode the die is cast and as for the title of this fanfilm is just perfect,,,, sleeping dragon indeed 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😊😊😊.

Wow, Southern Star Trek. It occurs to me that we never did hear a southern accent on the Enterprise and now here's a ship with ONLY southern accents. (Does the Andorian have a southern accent too?)

New fan here and am loving this. Is the Deimos based on the original concept of the USS Reliant where originally the nacelles were up and rollbar down, but the producer read the model upside down? If so i love it
The Deimos is a Phobos-class photon torpedo cruiser. The class was designed by Kevin Riley, and loosely based on the FASA Loknar class, IIRC. She's a beauty to be sure.
This has shades of the Doomsday Machine. Commador Decker flying the shuttle into it to damage a little, then the Constellation overloading and rendering the Doomsday as Kirk beamed out rendering the planet killer inert. Sacrifice is the name of the game. These two will be remembered for their sacrifice.
First, I want to say, I love your work. This was a very interesting story and I enjoyed it very much! My only suggestion would be to have waited on the announcement until much better computers and many more scientist at a Starbase, had, taken the time to re-evaluate the data in more detail, It seems premature to make such a announcement to the crew before they could be sure. After all, the same scientist were wrong just a few hours before.
Most of the theory surrounding the Sleeping Dragon originated in the Astrophysical Journal as did the basis of many great Roddenberry classics, in one way or the other. Some day we will travel to the edge of the galaxy and discover the galactic barrier Gene spoke about, was way ahead of his time. Black Hole theory has changed a lot from the 1990's Nothing escapes to Hawking radiation and James Web could promote the whole nebula theory getting spit out and seeding the universe with new planetary systems or great voids between galaxies (dark energy theory). Either way we live in a fun age for fiction writers. whether the magnetar broke up inside the event event horizon or not is probably a mute point but I think Randy used it masterfully to examine how us humans react to unfamiliar situations under extreme stress. @iraferguson2648 Great input
