I only recently caught onto this series. At first, I saw the sets, heard the sound track and watched the actors, all seemingly wooden in their lack of detail and subtlety. But, as is my habit these days, I learned the art of binge watching series (Oh! Great Covid19! Who's Wisdom hath glued my eyes to the Tube!) [Kidding!]. The upshot of my viewing episode after episode, day after day, is that I realized the love these people have for Star Trek! The sets may seem flimsy, but they are illuminated with the irresistible glow of ernest enthusiasm. The sound reflects the same, the hollow echo giving note to the hard work of realizing the sets in very close quarters - perhaps a donated living room or basement. Or an old fashioned cassette tape recorder and silent Super 8 film (in my day). Obviously, the technology of the production is far above the technical gadgetry of the 70s and 80s. The acting, though, is really a bit of a surprise. What I thought of as wooden, is actually a form of characterization that invites being read into by its audience. There's space here. Space to let your imagination do some of the heavy lifting. Like a novel or a radio play, using my own mind to fill in the gaps invites such fun creativity that I came to the realization that these folks are living a dream that I had once wished that I could do: They Are making Star Trek. Good, old fashioned 60s and 80s Star Trek. Morality plays, stories shining far above the special effects. The story telling is up in the heady realm of teaching what is best about the "Human Condition"! I am, as cliched and lame as this may sound, an avid follower of this series, appreciative of Captain Gabriel's wisdom, intellect and sense of fair play. I wish I could say more, but it is late and words now fail me. I am glad - no...Thankful! - And proud to see this show as a new addition to my Family.

Oh…such a beautiful, wonderful, utterly brilliant & insightful episode!! Captain Gabriel & the crew of the Deimos, facing a moral, & thought-provoking dilemma. Whether to not say where the Severus’s vaccine came from, or to be honest & truthful. I, for one, am highly important & glad Gabriel & her crew chose honesty & truth. I’m also highly impressed by the Captain of the Klingon vessel. I feel he is, at heart, a noble, honorable man, who holds truth & valor in his own heart, much as Gabriel does. I’m seriousness hoping he & Gabriel become close, lifelong friends; & I hope we see more of him, as well. Both him & Gabriel, in this fantastic episode, teach what it is to do the right, & honorable thing. I’m so glad to be a fan of this awesome channel. Each episode teaches us, as humans, the everyday values & lessons, that we sometimes forget. Please, more of these wonderful episodes!! This is in the truest sense of what Gene Roddenberry wanted to teach us all!! A lifelong fan, & hopefully friend, Mike, from Costa Mesa California. Thank you for bringing this amazing episode to us. May Gabriel & her crew continue to journey thru the stars, showing us all how to be better people. I also think Lady Deimos Herself rocks!!!

This is a great Star Trek story, truly in the spirit of what Star Trek has done from the beginning. Also, very nice touches from scenes like in engineering. Taking time to slow down, for dialogue to move around a topic without simply barreling through it. Nicely done. Very nice musical score and sound effects; I think the biggest audio challenge is that of on set reverberation. This must be a hard one when considering set design and recording equipment budget. Good luck to you as you continue!

Only 5 minutes into the episode as I write this. I do not envy Captain Gabriel the choices she will have to take.

Cool effects from the warp core, just like in real life military officer's no matter what jurisdiction they serve have to make the most difficult choice's sometimes rather they like it or not as Patrick Stewart said in the episode the first duty of any starfleet officer is to the truth rather it's scientific truth or historical truth or personal truth it is the guilding principal on which starfleet is based and in my opinion that was well played out in this episode historical truth their was some bad blood, scientific truth no other way to produce the vaccine personal truth she had to tell them because it was the right thing to do,my compliments to all the cast and crew.
