After running this setup for a wile there is a few things I’d do differently. Rookery mistakes. As I can only have a 2” lift and have the v6 I’d only do 265/65r18 as the size and offset very lightly rub and kill some power from the engine. I also would have gone with a medium springs and not bothered with the winch. I have recently put in the arb air compressor witch I wouldn’t bother doing again as it’s just as easy to have a portable compressor. And I’m getting the chief roof rack soon so I can put my awning on.
Have you thought of supercharging your grand Cherokee? All that added weight and a v6 is not a good combination. I also have a v6 Grand Cherokee, but I'm waiting for ripp to make a supercharger available for the 2016 model I have. I really want that front bumper and bull bar. Looks amazing.
I personally like the tube effect of the rock sliders from chief. And the quality is great. But yes it’s hard to decide. One thing I do know is I’d always get a step rock slid.
I've got my eyes on the Offroad Animal bull bar and bumper. I'd prefer to have a light bar mounted underneath the top of the bull bar but doesn't look like there's enough room for that.
Hey mate, just wondering how you have found the reliability of the Jeep? I'm toying with the idea of one (or an LR3) and like that it's a bit different (and cheaper) than the bog standard Toyota/Nissan.
Haven’t had a problem in 5 years. I’m the second owner. Only thing I’ve had to replace is the ac condenser. Lots of wk2 or Jeep pages so getting info is easy. I was looking at an LR3 I think there a nicer drive but more expensive and more expensive to own and the jeeps have much more tec.
@@torquendirty2186 yes. I do a lot of short trips but I’d prefer the diesel. 2016 is the newer shape. Personally I like it more. Trailhawk is the one to get for off-road.
Mate I got a 2019 same colour, but I am struggling with stone chips in Sydney with road works and light rail work around, wondering how you keep your colour clean
@@MH-wy6oz jeep grand cherokee wk2 3.6 engine goes to 1 million km record!! Now almost 600 thousand km!! The most reliable and durable SUV that does not break!
Looks good! How much off roading do you do? I'm wanting to do more in my GC but not sure if I should put money into it or save and wait for a different vehicle
KeepingItReal SpreadingTheTRUTH I do a fair bit of off-road and the wk2 is a decent platform and a good mix. I’d say the wk2 is better for overloading than hardcore off-road but if you have the QD2 it’s a much better platform. The wk2 will get most things done but makes it look hard. Independent suspension is just so limited. No matter how much u do a wk2 up it will never be as good as a wrangler off-road. But it’s a lot more comfortable.
Brent Uchtman I think I payed about $2700 installed including springs. That’s 2” front and back. But if I was doing it again I’d go with OME because bilstein never have stock and if something needed replacing it could take a long time. Also the ome are much better made.
陈钧豪 The suspension setup I have used to topout a tinny bit. I think all grand Cherokee do this. But the thing that fixed that was after I put bigger tyres on. Not sure why that happened. Since then I have added a winch witch dropped the front a bit low for the lager tyres so now I’m on setting 3. Was thinking maybe I need medium springs now for the extra weight.
jeepguylv80 Chief rock sliders. There probably the most expensive brand but great quality. Yes I got a 2” lift all around. I’ve now added a winch so I’m now on the third notch on the Billy’s.
275/65R18 But if I had to choose a tires again I’d choose different brand. Falcon wild peak or nitto ridge grapplers. Found the k02 slippery in the wet and herd some other bad reports about them.
U will find all the lifted jeeps are on springs not air suspension. If you have air suspension u cant do much. U can get links that change the standard off-road setting but your still limited to the airbags lift size.
wewereonabreak Got it installed at atv automotive five dock. But I don’t recommend them as they did such a bad job I took it completely off and did it myself.
Jacob S actually that fit ok but when I installed the winch now nothing in the front end fits well. The front is pushed out because of the winch so the nudge bar sticks out so that now the sensors don’t work.
That's a beautiful jeep.
These look good better without a front bar I reckon, looks like a good amount of protection with this setup
Nice looking rig mate, good to see you running the ORA gear, I just fitted the ORA Pre-runner and nudge to my 2012 Overland, bloody love it
Awesome WK2 mate. I have an ‘18 GC Overland and I love it!!
Nice build, I just lifted my WK2 daily driver, I'll be posting some videos of it soon.
Texan here Nicely done I may do the same set-up

Love those rock sliders, they look so nice, still deciding to spend the $$$ for them or off road animals no step rock sliders for a 1/3 of the price.

Did you replace your air suspension with coilovers? I see the the air links in there.

Attilio Di Ciano
10-15k AUD
Are those aftermarket headlights?
Evan Love no they are the stock hid headlights. In Australia all 2014 + jeeps have them as standard. I believe in the USA it was an optional extra.
