Im planning on putting a RC 2.5 inch lift on my 2011 hemi grand, but last week I put taller tires on it. I went from a 265 60 18 to a 265 65 18 landspyder AT tire and I absolutely love them. These tires are incredible in any terrain and especially in deep snow, yet they are quiet and smooth on the highway. Best addition ever for my jeep.

    I run a 285/75/17
    2.5 inch lift
Rubs a little but as long as u hammer down the pinch weld behind the front tires and trim a little pit of the plastic wheel well trim you won’t rub at all

Nice, I run 33s on my GC Wk2 V8 limited. How’s the fuel mileage on your Jeep compared to it’s stock mileage?

    2019 GC limited. (WK2)
2.5" lift in front, 1" lift in back (Rocky Road leveling kit)
    1.75" wheel spacers (spidertrax)
    275/65/18R tires
I don't really rub anywhere, there is slight rub with front tires at full turn, but nothing really to worry about. I'm do plan on doing some cutting or bending.

Hi Mustafa, could you share the part numbers for the suspension on here please? Also, did you have to do any work to the control arms to accommodate the lift? Thanks 😉

I’ve got 285 60 R18 tyres on a plus 32mm offset wheel on Air suspension and no rubbing at all even when in the lowest air setting of entry/exit mode.

Do they sit outside the guards at all? Assume not

@@dannicholls6945 they sit flush at the front and slightly inside the wheel well at the rear.

@@tristanbenjamin294 Many thanks, great to know. I have a 2015 Overland (stock with 20" wheels) with air suspension also, and have been researching the biggest size tyre I can go (on 18" wheels) without rubbing/mods.
      Cheers for that

Love the videos mate, I just have a question, your tyre size is stock 265/60 18, that should not rub at all even without the lift, I have a friend running 285, 60 r18 which is a 32.6 inch tyre on stock wheels without rubbing except from when fully flexed inwards, must be the offset. Keep the videos coming, great work

  • @staceheasley1
    @staceheasley1 3 года назад +1

So those are the same size tyres as stock. Must be the +30 offset causing it to run before the lift

There are a lot of people who say that raising their tires from stock 265/60r18 t0 265/65r18 with stock shocks doesnt rub either but your video shows regular stock 265/60r18 are so close? Makes me think the 265/65r18 option may not be as rub free and people say. I was hoping they were right, just to get the 1" lift from just the tires. :/

What are your thoughts on the Old Man Emu shocks and King springs vs. the stock suspension? I currently have the stock suspension lifted with spacer blocks front and rear and am considering spending the money for the full Old Man Emu treatment front and rear. Thanks!
