Mate, a bloody beaut hands on review. All problems revealed, easy fixed. In other words not bad value for the money. I've been looking at one of these on AliExpress but wasn't game to make the outlay just in case it was a sieve. Now I can buy knowing any problems will be easy fixed. Use one with a hootchie all good lightweight/low cost concealed bush camping. 👌👌👍
I was wondering about these, thanks for taking the time to look one over. I think a good dousing with Scotchguard top and bottom before heading out to the wild would be a good bet.
Grate video! Bivy tents are good for 1 night trips, maybe more if you can dry them out really good through the day. But even the best get wet inside, not as bad on warm nights but the colder it gets out side the wet,er you will get on the inside. I use a wool blanket, yes heavy but works grate. Never use a feather down bag in a bivy unless it can get wet, or you will destroy it. I learned the hard way. Ps. No bivy is 100% water proof in light long rain, best to put it under a tarp, and you have room to keep your stuff dry, and If you get up in the night to P in the rain you will keep your stuff dryer in side the bivy. Ho by the way don't try to use a P bottle in side of a bivy, trust me you don't want to know how I found out about that. Happy camping trails to you.
Good vud and info, thanks! I'd use this with a tarp, zip the net but leave the door open. Still.weigh nowt and a tarp will give you a place to sit out under because thats bot great for long wet nights!
@@BulldogBadger I did that with this bivi, but didn't really help with condensation. I even cut a vent in the foot end, but still had bad condensation. The material is not at all breathable. It would be okay on a dry and mild summer's night with the head end open, but otherwise uncomfortable!
Great video buddy. Looking forward to seeing it in full action and will be interested to see how you get on with it. I bought a bivvy bag from go outdoors and was thinking of doing a review on mine.
You know what? If you sit down 9n yer bum outside the tent with your legs bunched up then turn you legs while turning on her bum you can get your legs 8nside the bag easy. ❤
it would be a better video if when talking to the camera you looked into the lens not the little screen it would be more intimate with your viewers instead of looking away from them

Ya I was thinking the same thing Nikki 👍
That's the same 1 I had and I binned it after I woke up soaking wet.
😆 I'm gonna give it a chance lol
Was it rain or condensation?
@@BulldogBadger condensation...
It's a nightmare for condensation. Binned mine. Rubbish
Thanks. I'm debating taking that 700g, on southwest coast path. good video. It's either that or bobcat. have to decide. as bobcat is more like 1.9kg,
Have u thought about the lanshan 1?
Alright mate, stumbled across your page while shopping for bivvis, so glad I found your page, keep it up man
Cheers m8 thanks for watching 🙂
I think if you seam seal it and give it a blast of fabsil it should be ok
You could have a wee tarp over the head end and keep the rain off that way and then just close the bug net, would have reduced condensation then
@@BulldogBadger yes that's wat I was thinking I just bought a military poncho packs really small. Might be to tool for the job lol
@@TruesdaleTV sounds perfect 👌😎

For torches, tryout the xhp 70.2!
Will look it up m8👍
i like this coffin tent , good for stealth camping
What about condensation? It seems has no ventilation
Perfect for stealth! You could put that up in some tight hidden spots! Be good to see you use it on some stealth camps
Will get it out at some point 👍
hey mate are u going to do a camp with that this week coming
Maybe the following week
Excited to see you use it in the field soon and excited to use my new one as well, since we have the same one. 🤣
Could be a wet one lol 😆
I can see why people would like it for bike or hiking camping. But for me it's like coffin😁It looks tight squeeze but l think it help keep you warm
I camp smaller bivies or as i call them body bags then again i ussualy need to be stealthy
Shame about the leak, otherwise it looked like good value. Hope you're able to fix it, let us know.
Will put a drop of sealer on it and c how it goes m8 👍
Does the spider get in?

Yes m8 u should. I was thinking about getting that sort of bivvy u have aswell.
@@TruesdaleTV well I guess we will review it on Steve's channel and give it a good test 👍🏻
I'd say it's a fine weather summer bivvy. Great for then. I'll stick with the Dutch army hooped bivvy. Great review pal. Keep stealth buddy..
I'd say ur right buddy. 🙂👍🏕
@@TruesdaleTV ye be wkd in the summer fp..
Excellent review
Thanks
Hi from Tallahassee, Florida
Hi Chris 👋 thanks for watching 🙂
Thanks for video!
Great review, are these attack proof or will I still need Jason?
Lol not attack proof I'm afraid 😅
TRY THE TETON1 TENT.
Will look it up buddy 👍
Not bad for 30 pounds but think you'll have to fill it with those silica gel packets for the condensation 😀
I know that's the issue with these style of tents
4th 🤘😎
Are you in northern Ireland?
I am m8
@@TruesdaleTV alright I'm from Bangor. 😁
Not a million miles for me 🙂.
