The discover it is great but don't miss a payment! I asked discover if I could make a late payment a week later. They said yes and we'll refund the fee. So I did they never refund the fee and rose the minimum payment. I now have to pay the ultra high minimum to use the card. The only thing the manager said was that she would talk to the agent that spoke with me :/

I don't know if your from Canada but two easiest credit cards to get in Canada is (Home trust) secured visa as long as he has been discharged from bankruptcy, they have 95% approval. (Refresh finacial) secured visa, no credit check very rare for someone not to be approved.

I just applied for the Open Sky Plus credit card right now. It's a $300 minimum deposit but no annual fee at all. I dropped $500 right now and now it's a waiting game for the next 2 weeks.

Discover It and other secured may deny you. Just because a card is secured doesn't mean that it will approve people if they have the money for deposit and a job. OpenSky is the only card that will approve you thats secured.

Honestly, since it's costing you money to keep the card, I would close it. But for a short time, your score will go down due to younger credit history and lower utilization.

Please,you must tell your subscribers not to get this card, they ask you to fill out form 4506t. They are now checking your Tax returns to see if it matches the income you put on your application. They approved me then told me after I received the card to fill the tax form out.I told them to stick it,and that I was closing the card ,so they weren’t the ones to close the card. @@dbvs007 I think you can put up to $2,000 on the Discover It secured. Your limit on a secured card is what your down payment is. But if you have credit cards already I would recommend keeping your utilisation under 10% at statement day then paying it off after statement day before closing. So if you use more than 10% during the month pay it down to 10% before statement date then when the statement comes in pay it off before closing. Just by doing that my credit jumped over a 100 points. Your utilisation is a huge chunk of your score. But Discover is a really good card so if you can't get the unsecured just go ahead and get the secured. What is your credit if you don't mind me asking?
@@dbvs007 your utilisation might be why they declined you for the pre-approval. Honestly getting that down would bring your score up a lot. Adding another card might bring your score up a little because you're adding to your credit limit. Which in turn brings your utilisation down a little. But really I'd work on bringing those other ones down for sure.

Aside from the Discover card which we already talked about I’d recommend Citi bank Navy federal credit union (military members) Capital One Those companies all have secured credit cards and do not have any annual fee.

You probably have plenty inquiries in your accounts. Also is that 700 ventage score? It is always nice to look at my fico score 8 which is what lenders look at mostly. Experian offer a general fico score 8.
I'm sorry but this video is so misleading. Every last one of these cards will not give you an instant approval. They will reject you if you don't have good credit. I have made calls to all these cards company and what he saying is incorrect. Please don't provide misinformation because a denial can hurt these people who don't have good credit when they're trying to get a credit card.

Add him as a cardholder, it'll increase his credit score of yours is high as well, that way he would have a better chance at getting approved
Most secured cards don’t offer rewards. It’s strictly just for building score until you upgrade to a secured card after a particular amount of time.

Discover It and other secured may deny you. Just because a card is secured doesn't mean that it will approve people if they have the money for deposit and a job. OpenSky is the only card that will approve you thats secured.

You should try First Progress. They don’t even check your credit. It’s based on how much of a deposit you can do.

I don’t know but you realize grubhub etc is insanely expensive. You’d save so much money buying the food at the supermarket and making it yourself.
