Nah mate I have always thought that the drums make all of Meshuggahs songs tie together and I think that the drums like this mix are really sick and pay homage to the band qnd the way its meant to be heard

Dude, absolutely great production and sound on your drums, super ballsy and exposed.. I think you tend to flam a little bit in the first drum beat of the song. I think if you're drums weren't so exposed this wouldn't be noticeable. This song is tricky and way better than what I'm capable of, so good job dude!

Meshuggah drumming pattern looks complex, unlike the strings.
+Joshua Stewart The drums really do all the work for Meshugga. Not to shit on the guitars, I love every element of the band.
try playing those riffs with groove. not easy, not easy man. also, you saying the strings aren't complex? you probabyl meant something else. Most other bands songs are waaaay less complex and are easy to memorize. memorizing a single Meshuggah song is already taking me hours and hours to get it down exactly. You probably meant that the strings are easy to play. but even that isn't true which you will learn once you cover some of their songs
The guitar parts are pretty tough too. Lots of little microtonal bends and pre-bends. Takes pretty solid right hand technique to play lots of the rhythm guitar parts. And Frederick Thordenal’s leads are fucking nuts
awesome playing...haven't seen your latest videos but i hope you got rid of those hipster jump cuts and soap opera zoom on cymbals :D whole kit + feet cam is all that's necessary. Your playing is enough to keep me watching the vid no need for spicing shit up with annoying jump cuts.
