They honestly really kept the character personalities for this one.
Dr. Who not firing the last shot. Rick saying “hurry up” so he could shoot the Doctor during regeneration.
Rick went into wanting that smoke, but he was the one blown away in true Who fashion. Honestly they really nailed this one.
The Timelords didn't took the human form. Humans took the timelords form...
To clear things up a bit: It's been around ten years since Goku vs. Superman 2, aka one of the creator's least favorite episodes. It has been said that this next battle should be treated as if the last two never happened, basically making the matchup again, just in their modern format with the skills they've acquired over the years. Also, they're including everything for both characters, so the matchup is actually a bit close this time.
Superman still wins, but still.
It's eight years since Goku vs Superman 2.
Ten years is the time difference between next time and the original Goku vs Superman.

Funnily enough the reason the Doctor looks human is that after the Time Lords harnessed time travel their president Rassilon went and systematically destroyed any race that didn't look like him

They got this one pretty much right. You love to see it. The Doctor’s tech plus thousands of years of experience is more than even someone like Rick could ever deal with
Saw this one coming cynicism actually means you have less will to live because you see less meaning in your life that and the massive experience advantage was pretty huge basically it's a weird paradox be prepared to throw everything away but fight until your last breath and always look for an angle to win I feel like cynical is just an overly trendy death spiral
Goku has Ultra Instinct is the newest state he achieved. The first time was GT Goku, second round was Super Goku just after the Universe 6 vs Universe 7 tournament, now we have either post Tournament of Power or Super Hero Goku who sort of knows how to use Automatic Dodge & Counter.

rick wouldn't have waited for him to regenerate, he'd have just shot him again mid regeneration once he saw the doctor was still alive
Which is why the Doctor made sure to short out Rick's gun and make it useless before he started his actual Regeneration. He took that play off the board.
That implies Rick could survive the Doctor regenerating, which he probably can not seeing as the energy emitted from regenerating has the power to destroy an entire Dalek armada
the doctor got nerf so much. in the comics and in the novel the doctor is High Outerversal - boundless

@@guyfieri148 True. That would be more fair, barring John's ridiculous luck. Not that you can use that in a deathbattle, it's basically plot armor. I'd actually love to see them remake the John 117 vs Doomguy fight using their latest version/achievements. Doomguy would most likely win, but still.

I mean to be fair it's honestly hard to say if goku in ultra instinct could beat superman one million prime or vice versa. As those are both each persons ultimate end game form neither would be able to go any higher probably.
Though if they are using those forms it'd probably be superman who'd win one million prime is completely broken to the point that it's straight up unfair to use it against anything because it'd be a one sided match.
If they are just using current forms as in in their ongoing series and not older finished works then it's hard to say.
Goku vs Superman 1 is decent for its time but super outdated and 2 had really bad research and even the Death Battle team dislikes that episode (its title was even changed to Irrelevant Sequel)
3 is done as a more mordenised version of the match up with proper research and characterisation. Also yeah both have gotten stuff that didn't exist the last time they were in DB, but that's mostly for Goku

I heard it was cc goku vs infinite frontier superman. My issue is that,from what i heard, infinite frontier is composite superman with a few exceptions,so op as cc goku is,superman is just too cracked.

Rick shot the Doctor dead, and while the Doctor was regenerating, Rick xenomorphed him. How did the Doctor survive that?
Because mid recovery he used the laser and as it ends rick comes and then he regens again
To kill the doc it must be mid regeneration so basically when it caused Rick to fly back that's when he should've killed him but the doctor saw that happening
He has to be shot *before* the actual proscess begins, as in the LAZAR. But the doctor stalled rick until it did
Rick vs 40k? nah, he'd win. He'd bullshit his way into harnessing the power of the immaterium and becoming the only chaos god, Tzeentch would be passing butter for his empty amusement. I can see him fooling everyone in the imperium into believing he's the emperor reincarnate because they just forgot so much of the power of technology and even Rowboat Gorillaman would be convinced that it's the genuine article (mostly due to his "stellar" personality, just like old pop's). Given enough time he'd probably convince every other faction that it's in their best interest to just off themselves to combat against some egregious antagonistic force of the universe... Well, except for orks but with them I think using them a la vampire powered piston for some invention of his would suffice. And Nids? Giant space can of bugspray and prometheum, it never fails.

Hell no. He'd start by trading the Anti-Life Equation to the Dark Eldar in exchange for a Tantalus loaded full of Hypex and Splintermind, spending days making fun of the Emperor's policies on religion in the ruins of the Temple of Jerusalem (because, you know, Drunk Rick is obsessed with Israel).

He literally has beaten actual Gods before and even been worthy of "the glory" which contains all of fiction within it.

You don't even see Rick's ship anywhere but for some reason they favoritism the doctors ship for some reason,
It wouldn't make sense, If both happening the same time same area, but nope, Rick just forgets about his powerful ship
And don't say the doctor's ship is stronger because it's not supposed to be an attacking ship, it's just meant to go traveling in time,
Rick's ship could have done something,
And better yet, Rick should have shot Doctor who but he didn't for some reason, so the winner is for Rick

Just because the Doctor doesn't use the TARDIS to attack doesn't diminish how powerful it is. We've seen on more than one occasion Rick's ship get damaged and borderlined destroyed. And you know what happened? Nothing. A TARDIS being destroyed has the capacity to destroy the entire universe by causing cracks in space time. That's the level of power it carries.
And the reason Rick paused at the end was because he was waiting for the Doctor to start Regenerating, so he could shoot him again during the process and actually kill him. It was actually a smart play on Rick's part since he knew what Time Lord's were capable of in this. But that's why the Doctor made sure to fry Rick's gun before he started his Regeneration, he's just smarter than Rick.
And the Doctor is a master at turning his enemies strengths around on them and getting them to take themselves out. Ironically, the more firepower Rick brought to this fight, his car included, the quicker he would have likely been taken down.
Rick picked the battleground. He picked the weapons. He picked the entire fight at every point. The one thing I actually do have some issue with was that Rick's entire "make sure I can never cross paths with somebody who might piss me off and I can't take in a fight, because I already know I stop paying attention to consequences when I'm angry and drunk and I hate myself enough to be self-destructive" defense failed, which allowed the whole thing to happen in the first place.
Always remember the winner is whoever the writer wants to win.
Definitely, as if removing the rick from a single timeline suddenly removed the ricks from other universes with their own timelines. Like, I respect your voice but I reject your choice.
That’s how it works in story telling. But that rule really doesn’t apply to vs debating. Especially when the vs community agrees this is one of the biggest stomps the show has had in the Doctor’s favor.
This is the general excuse people use when their preferred loses in a VS debate.
It always bothers me when someone takes Stan Lee’s quote out of context. He wrote that as a way for authors to dictate the flow and progression of their stories.
He didn’t mean that in a debate setting where both characters have recorded feats and abilities to go over.

I'm going with rick because he's the smartest man in the universe, has survived meta-reality, meta-fiction, dying an infinite number of times, he has a infinte number of clones and has back up clones for his back up clones, he has killed universal, multiversal, meta-physical, and plot altering beings. @@philosotree5876 Rick has killed God's from almost every plain of reality, he has killed fictional beings and literal concepts, he has killed one of the strongest versions of himself that was able to kill every version of his wife from an infinite amount of universes, he has knowledge about things outside of the show he's in. He's quite literally a self made god because he pretty much willed it so.
@@Yuiichiiro Rick spans an infinite amount of universes in the multiverse and has an infinite amount of clones. He has outsmarted the council of Ricks that are all almost as smart as him but still smart enough to pull off godlike feats on a multiversal scale.

Edit: I was wrong cus apparently the universes smartest dude wanted to toy with him instead of yk just shooting him in the head once then leaving
Mean they did not mention it but that is part of the doctors in world abilities and is why all his super smart foes allow him to ramble and monologue rather than just shoot him.
Even if Rick shot him while he was taking it would have just been another wound you have to wait till the doctor shoots out energy to actually shoot him to kill him.
And uhh about that the whole death during regeneration was retconned. And uhh they nerfed the doctor alot...
@@Stupid_RabbitShooting him wouldn't have done anything. The regeneration process is the only time when the The Doctor can be killed permanently, even then you have to destroy his entire body to do so which Rick wouldn't have had the ability to do in the short time frame
What makes you think shooting him in the head before regeneration would have changed anything?
