I've lost 4 friends that were painters. They always painted without wearing a mask. Your skin is the largest organ on your body everything goes on your skin goes through your liver, months ago I did a post showing how I do my blood work once or twice a year check my liver enzymes as well as other markers I definitely understand your concern and you are not wrong. On a cheap one like that Use Kapci 6030 or latica and a 1.0 mini. you can spray it super fine and lay it down super smooth....No buffing. even at home with a small compressor. Also spray the air on the spray can blender. do it 2 or 3 times. Might kiss that with a buffer but that will be it.

It might help some preppers: when your primer is lifting and wrinkling old coating mix your primer with rubbing alcohol instead of reducer. Cover the spot and let it dry. Then use regular reducer. Do not sand through that coat, it will wrincle again. This does NOT work with base coat. Hope this helps someone
First time i had the wrinkle i assumed it was possibly something other than glass cleaner on my micro fiber cloth when i wiped it off prior to tack cloth and paint, didnt know it was the underlying sanded edges of old paint, only did ot in that one area, great info!!!
Thank you brother. And yes 90% of the time it's the old paint when you broke through it. You need to prime further than the area then make sure not to sand through the primer or you'll just keep chasing your tail all day. 🤜🏼🤛🏼

I found my self if you get any burn throughs, I like to use an adhesion promoter over those areas, which can help aswell with frying issues. PS not recommended trying this when doing painted on decals as it will pull up decal colour don't ask how I know so much wasted time when that happens

@thetriggerman954 Yeah it really sucked bro and it was over 600, i had sprayed the side where the letters were then put the black base down let it sit for 15-20 mins then put the stencil over, then put the main base J7 magnetic grey down then pulled the stencil off and it pulled the black base with it in some spots but because of it I had to redo the whole side again and go back to the shop so I can get more stencil vinyl, the second time I done it over 400 with only 2 letters pulling very minor easy to fix with no adhesion promoter
@thetriggerman954 nah it's not bro because those stencils take up a lot of time and I am limited on time as I do have a day job fitting tyres and the weekends is the only time I can spray so time crunches are real for me brother, just the roof too about 4hrs to complete because I done a lace pattern for the first time over it

@@thetriggerman954 just the gto cap that came with it. It's a 1.3. Idk man just not laying it down very well even at 33 psi it still seemed like a lot of orange peel. I will say I sprayed a mustang side with it and liked it. But 2 other jobs I did I was just fighting it to lay down flat.
Not sure what cap that is. The Sagola guy told me that the tech cap is best for clear. You should be good with that. I've sprayed like 10 jobs now with it and all 10 were a home run.
Good tips on using fast reducer on the first coat. I don't usually stock up fast reducer since my area mostly summer all year round. But definitely i can try medium reducer on the light first coat. Is it really okay to use fast clear on hot days ?

I personally don't like to. It makes the clear dieback the less you put the less it's noticable but it does kill some of the shine. Yes it will help the clear lay down a little flatter but I rather Make other changes to base coat and or clear pressure/application to achieve a flat finish when desired. It's just my personal thing I know lots of people that do it and swear by it that's what makes us all different. And if you think logically when someone says"Yes if you add too much reducer to your clear it will die back" So that being said even adding small amounts there still is some dieback it's just not enough to wear it would stand out. Hope that makes sense brother.

All you need to do to get it to FRY is BURRY IT.....first coat when is like that.....yup create a barrier with slow build fast reducer.....Then let it DRY.....Really DRY.....then still your next coat dont go too heavy.....Fast reducer. easy build. Then once it is all based. Clear it with clear NO REDUCER...I NEVER USE REDUCER IN CLEAR......that is a great way to get it go FAIL.....Trigger man you are on it!!!!!
Hey trigger, so I need some help bro. Doing an over all and on all the horizontal surfaces the clear was faded, so I sanded back/feathered the old clear to 220 like I always do before my primer but here’s the thing, this paint feels slippery even after 220, like if I sanded it with 1500. I’ve never felt any paint like that after 220. I’m afraid the primer won’t stick of paint may delaminate or something later. I mean this primer does stick like flies on shii, but I’m telling you it feels like I sanded it with 1500, and I sure as hell don’t want to sand it all down to primer/metal. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks man. Loving the videos bro, got you playing in my earphones as I’m sanding soaking up some knowledge
Sanded with 220 and feels like it was sanded with 1500 🤔 maybe just put some 180 on a block and put some real cuts in it for adhesion. That's my only guess of the head
Dammit Boi I don't know how you know I just screwed up my paint job on my car but I had spots to wrinkle up around some body work I done to my ride. But it have been sitting for a couple of days it's like the metallic wrinkled just around the primer but I let it sit for a few hours and looked at it and it's like it disappeared but it still have a sign of the wrinkle but it's been sitting for a couple of days. Give me a solution to what I need to do before I go forward.
If it's been sitting for a couple of days with clear over it. You might have just sealed it down. And can forget it 🙏🏼🤞🏼 I know what you're saying though, it's there underneath but you can't really feel it

@@andrewarren2701 oh if it's still in the base sand that sucker out. Might as well go the mile and do it right you it doesn't bite you in the butt later, sand it out 2k prime or seal it, since there is obviously something there causing that reaction. Then resume as normal
MS clear is a medium solid clear which has less solids than a high solid clear slightly less UV protection ideally you would like high solids on nicer vehicles 10 minutes clear means The clear is dry to touch and 10 minutes We use it on rush jobs / cheaper vehicles. I don't use it that often but it's there when needed.

You just have to move pretty fast can't be playing around with no slow gun with fast clear on a hot day but it will work

Dammit Boi I don't know how you know I just screwed up my paint job on my car but I had spots to wrinkle up around some body work I done to my ride. But it have been sitting for a couple of days it's like the metallic wrinkled just around the primer but I let it sit for a few hours and looked at it and it's like it disappeared but it still have a sign of the wrinkle but it's been sitting for a couple of days. Give me a solution to what I need to do before I go forward.
If it's been sitting for a couple of days with clear over it. You might have just sealed it down. And can forget it 🙏🏼🤞🏼 I know what you're saying though, it's there underneath but you can't really feel it
@@thetriggerman954 it still in base not clear ,seen what it was doing and quite on the first base coat. The wrinkle seemed to disappeared after it sat for a while.Just wondering if I should just ruff it up and finish the rest of it up a finish it up? Sort of puzzled. Need a little Trigger help
@@andrewarren2701 oh if it's still in the base sand that sucker out. Might as well go the mile and do it right you it doesn't bite you in the butt later, sand it out 2k prime or seal it, since there is obviously something there causing that reaction. Then resume as normal

U said u were using a ms clear , 10 minute , what do u mean by that. ?
MS clear is a medium solid clear which has less solids than a high solid clear slightly less UV protection ideally you would like high solids on nicer vehicles 10 minutes clear means The clear is dry to touch and 10 minutes We use it on rush jobs / cheaper vehicles. I don't use it that often but it's there when needed.
